This book picks up right where Obsession left off, and I was on pins and needles waiting to see where things were going to go. We are given more background on Anna’s relationship with crazy Dominic, and it is clear that she has had a lot to overcome from the time she was with him. I love Anna’s character, she has been through so much but doesn’t allow it to destroy her and still remains strong and feisty. There is nothing more aggravating than a wimpy, clueless heroine, and Anna is the opposite of this. Her strength and intelligence are what make her so likeable. And Jensen, oh my, I just fell even more in love with him than I was before. I love how protective he was over Anna, and how he wasn’t afraid to admit his feelings for her. He was willing to kill to protect her, and during the time he was being held, his thoughts were on Anna and how he could keep her safe. SM Phillips is so good at writing male characters who are the perfect combination of strength and sweetness. I was so pleased to learn that this series is getting a third installment. I definitely haven’t had nearly enough of this fantastic couple, and I am looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble they will get into next!!!

Betrayal is book #2 in the Obsession series, I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC of Betrayal to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
Betrayal picks up right where Obsession finishes and even though it’s been a while since I read Obsession I was pulled straight back into the drama that is Anna and Jensen’s world.
There is a constant hum of intrigue that burns just below the surface of this book. No one is who they appear, I LOVED the trust no-one fear everyone vibe that this story exudes.
I love SM Phillips writing style, the story flows effortlessly, pulling you into it when needed but still allowing you to be a voyeur and watch the love and drama play out.
I missed Jensen the asshole; there really wasn’t enough angry sexy time fun between Anna and Jenson in this instalment for me.
Anna found her spirit in this book and I adore her, she went full blown mean girl!!! She had this intensity and passion that I don’t remember from Obsession.
Jensen embraces his inner caveman and it was hot as hell when he went all ‘mine’ over Anna.
For me though the best part of this instalment was the tension!!! Every word, every paragraph was so chocked packed with tension that I was literally on the edge of my seat.
I kept thinking, ok it’s gonna happen now the final showdown, then it wouldn’t and I’d start the guessing countdown again!!!
Dominic is one scary psycho!!! The perfect villain he was completely off his rocker and fecking amazeballs!!!
I devoured this book super quickly and I still need more!!! This was just far too short; I want more Anna, more asshole, demanding Jensen and more smoking hot sex scenes!!!
Betrayal grabbed me from the first page and pulled me along for the ride!! This is a brilliant action packed story that you need to read!!!
Betrayal gets 4.5 stars from me.

Not giving spoilers away so don't even ask ok !?!
Well we all know how we were left hanging at the end of Obsession and I for one was like WTF ! How can you leave us hanging like that ? We started off hating Jensen at the beginning of Obsession but by the end we....well....me , had fallen for this over protective arrogant man . So leaving me hanging was torture lol . Betrayal couldn't come soon enough . I had , no sorry, needed to find out what happened next .
Betrayal starts off exactly where Obsession ended so there is no time to think back about what happened at the end of the last book , there is no gap to try and fill in . Your literally there, all guns blazing (so to speak) . You know the characters , you know their background (well at least I thought I did) . THAT certainly threw me . If you've read Obsession and now Betrayal you'll know what I'm talking about . Am saying no more. If you want to know more I suggest you read these books now .
Steph I have to say is one of my all time favourite authors , always has been, always will be . I have yet to read anything by Steph that I've not given 5 stars too and this is no exception !
Well done Steph . Another brilliant , sexy, highly entertaining read .
By the way we need more Jensen and Anna . Just saying Duckie !

Ooh I've been waiting for this I've been waiting for Jensen.
Betrayal is told from Jensen and Anna's pov.
Betrayal follows on from where obsession left you hanging,
Anna is worried about Jensen but everyone else isn't really taking much notice.
I like that Anna seems to find herself and stand up for herself she isn't a quivering mouse; she is quite strong, but she seems to get a bit stronger in this book, Minnie helps in that aspect. Jensen is Jensen but you get to know more on how he feels for Anna his true feelings for her are unearthed in this book and it is quite sweet. There is definitely more room to find out more about both of these characters, and the other characters in the book are quite intriguing. I'd love to hear more of Minnie she sounds like a really good laugh.
I've loved this series the twists in it are brilliant it keeps you gripped and most definitely wanting more.
I was a bit bewildered at the end but SM Phillips soon cleared me up on that there will be a third instalment to Jensen and Anna's story which I'm very very excited about.

M.S. Phillips has got me Hooked!
How to write everything on my mind without putting any spoilers out there? Especially if you haven't read the first book? If you haven't, you need to. Oh Ms. Phillips you definitely know how to hook a reader! Holy Crap! Was how I ended the first book in this series, Obsession (actually it was a little more explicit than that but anyway...) this book picks up where the first one left off. I have to state for the record that I absolutely LOVE our H & h, Anna and Jensen are just perfect, she has been through a LOT and yet she's is still standing. Can I just take a minute and say Jensen? I think that's my new favorite name! Jensen is just so amazing he is all about Anna and he isn't afraid to let it show. No matter what happens she is the center of his universe. I just heard through the grapevine that there is going to be another installment in this series, I seriously hope that is true because I am not ready to let go just yet. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jenson, Jenson, Jenson!! Oh, how I have missed you!!
This book follows on from Obsession. Jenson has been kidnapped we don't know by who or why. Ana is going out of her mind with Jenson missing, she is worried her past is back to haunt her. And it does. In more ways then one.
There are a whole lot of secrets being kept. But they all eventually come out, we all know that.
I love these characters, they are perfect together! The story had me hooked from start to finish and I am still left wanting more from them.

Absolutely loved it, the late night reading was worth every minute. I was hooked from the start, I couldn't wait to get hold of this book after the cliffhanger in book 1 Obsession. Steph has done a great job writing in both Anna and Jenson's pov. Jenson is a super hot alpha male and Anna is no push over, both are hot headed, strong and will do anything to help protect the ones they love.

Following on from Obsession this is the 2nd book in the series and cannot be read as a standalone.
Full of suspense we find out more about Anna's past and why she is looking over her shoulders all the time. A little bit slow paced at times with lots of questioning second guessing inside the character's head as she doesn't come out and say what she's thinking at times but that does add to the need to carry the story on for longer than it otherwise may take. I enjoyed this and the conclusion had some surprises along the way with some angst thrown in.

I'm so fortunate and very grateful that I was given an ARC of this amazing book. I won my copy of Obsession in a giveaway. Since then, I got hooked with Steph and her amazing books. She's a wonderful author and an amazing friend.
I loved Obsession right from the very first page. I fell madly in love with Jensen. The ending had a major cliffhanger that got me so intrigued and so excited to find out what was gonna happen next. Now Betrayal is finally here and it was really worth the wait. I love how the events turned out. I love how Jensen and Anna found there way back into each others arms.
Anna is a strong willed woman. She speaks her mind and she never backs out from a challenge. She is so determined and so brave. But behind her strong facade, she is also soft, caring and loving. That's what endeared me to Anna's character and I love how she is as a daughter,a friend and a lover.
Jensen on the other hand is a bad boy with a big heart. He was totally transformed the minute he met and fell in love with Anna. That's what made me fall madly and instantly in love with him. Even when he was being held captive, he was still thinking of Anna's safety. His only motivation to escape was to be with Anna. He is also a loving brother and friend.
I love how the story put me at the edge of my seat. Always guessing what was going to happen next. How will Jensen be saved? When will all their identities be revealed? Who was Dominic's accomplice? And who are Jed and Boyd? The twist in the character of the good guy was a total revelation to me. I never saw it coming. Although I had my suspicions on who was siding with Mitchell and Jensen. Just the same, I was surprised. But I was so happy that it was him.
I love the ending. Though I would have wanted to read more because I couldn't get enough of Jensen and Anna. But I love that there's a promise of a happily ever after. A promise of something great to look forward to. More action and more romance. A promise of more on Jensen and Anna's love story.
This amazing book is a total package. It has romance, suspense and drama. I really had a hard time putting down. This series is a must read. I'm sure everybody will love it as much as I did.

I was so enjoying this one, because after the cliffhanger of Obsession, I wanted to know what was going to happen.
Did you see the cover? *Sigh* Just smoking hot! I'm stop drooling over this guy’s body I swear.
Some question from the first book was answered and we get to know who Anna is running from. Actually, the shadows of her past were very close to her door, taking her by surprise.
We have more background about Anna and Jensen.
Just for the record, I love how this guy was territorial around her, and hopefully he came to his senses by admitting his feelings for her, even if sometimes old habits die hard.
I really appreciated the evolution of his character. He wasn't an angel for sure but he fought and protected the ones he loved.
Anna was stronger than ever and opened to people. She was so natural, with her hot tempered behavior. She was such a likable and endearing character. Her past was catching her and collided with her present, and Jensen was almost paying the prize without knowing.
I could notice the huge step, evolution for these two characters. This time, we had a valuable addition of second great characters; Jensen’s older brother Mitchell , Minnie (his brother’s girlfriend), and some others ; as Darcie (ex’s Friends with benefits of Jensen).
What was interesting that when you thought that you were going on a lead, you. weren’t it was a very smart move from the author.
This time the story was on full speed mode, where both pasts of Anna and Jensen collided.
From the beginning to the end, I was captivated by their stories and how they had come a long way from who they were in the first book. It was a great series, and I was wondering if there gonna be more books, because some of the characters deserved to have their story too, especially for the wonderful surprise in the end.

There were several unanswered mysteries at the end of book 1 and I am happy to say they were answered by the end! Thank goodness! I’ve been anticipating reading more about Jensen and Anna since I finished the first book.
Betrayal had me constantly on the edge of my seat. I finished this story in one sitting! It was really fantastic. Plenty of action, suspense, humor and a bit of passion as well. I really did enjoy the two main characters and hope I get to read more about them soon. The secondary characters were funny and mysterious as well, so maybe they may get their own story someday?

this story you get the full picture with surprises, you really do get to understand Anna as she is such a strong caring under estimated young lady for what she has experienced and witnessed, then you get to see a nicer side to Jensen where he is trying to explain these feelings he has for her that he doesn't truly understand himself. While Jensen disappears you get the full picture of his brother Mitchell and the whole story just blows open where you really want to keep reading about all characters and what happens next, great writing that I have really enjoyed reading.

Pretty good read
It was better than Obsessed, but still had the same edit issues. I'll read the third book, but I'm guessing the issues will be in that one as well. The storyline continuation picked up right where it left off. It flowed really well. I still like all the characters. The plot twists were good too.

The book picks up right where it left off and I loved that! Anna's character is one of the strongest female parts I have seen in awhile. Phiilips was a new author for me and I am so glad that I got the chance to read her work.

The book picks up right where it left off and I loved that! Anna's character is one of the strongest female parts I have seen in awhile. With secrets that she doesnt want to get out she does come face to face with them and deals with it. Loved the roller coaster ride that this book took me on. Phiilips was a new author for me and I am so glad that I got the chance to read her work.

fantastic continuation of obsession, loved reading how Anna and jensen's secrets and lies come to light. Action packed and gripping throughout, had me biting my nails all the way through.

This book was just as amazing as the first on if not better. I would highly recommend this. If you haven't read Obsession you must do that first, because this book picks up where book 1 left off. Anxiously waiting for the next book.
