WILD CAT is the 8th installment in Christine Feehan’s contemporary paranormal, erotic romance Leopard Series.

Christine Feehan is one of my favorite PNR romance authors and I have read all her series, and whilst I like her Leopard Series, her Carpathian Series is still my favorite.

Having met Elijah Lospostos in previous books I was looking forward to his book.. Sadly, I was rather sad after I finished reading his story.
In fact, I was more than unhappy with Elijah and his character….ne

I truthfully did not enjoy most of this book and its getting 2 stars simply because I thought Siena was the sweetest person ever, and because we got to see Jake and Emma and Eli and Cat in this so I did enjoy that. But mostly I was just angry reading this, the whole book Elijah pissed me the fuck off and if you ask me he was borderline abusive to Siena. I seriously don't think I've ever disliked a character more, you can be an alpha male without being a complete asshole dickwad twat. He said hor ...more

“Believe me, baby, you belong to me. I don’t give up what’s mine.”

This was a sexy paranormal romance, with a bit of excitement.

I felt quite sorry for Siena in this story, as the way Elijah threw her out of his house and the things he said to her were awful. I really didn’t blame her for hating him, and could understand why she didn’t want to let that behaviour go so easily.

DNF @ 17%.

The story starts off REALLY REALLY badly. The h goes to the H's house to deliver something for her grandfather. The H immediately has sex with her on the floor. This donkey was a virgin and acted like a complete airhead. After he is done with her, he grabs her by the hair and throws her out naked. She goes home and gets beaten by one of her grandfather's workers. This book was so stupid. I expected there to be a lot of groveling by the H but according to other people who could stomach

When I closed this book I had to take some time to process my feeling on it before writing down my thoughts. I enjoy shifter romances and am typically able to reason with the aggressive and violent nature of the heroes due to their being half-animal. Sometimes the attitudes of the heroes can be a bit much and the sex a bit too domineering for my tastes but usually that's balanced out with the heroine's ability to stand up for herself and the hero's abil

Self note: He took roughly her virginity, then kicked her out of the house by her hair(tuggin at it painfully may I add) and called her a whore, and then told her that she was the worst he ever had...then he mentions how wild, rough and generous lover he was with ow....and now when he knows he was wrong he tells her to just deal with it?? That's author's idea of groveling?? What the ever loving apology, nothing.

That's a hell no for me even if he does grovel later!!!

Ms Feehan returns to her world of Leopard shifters with a highly passionate and emotional instalment. This story follows on in many ways from Cats Lair with it's shady undertones of crime and gang wars but expands as we start to realise just how insidious the workings amongst the kingpins truly can be. Into this setting the author introduces Siena Arnotto, a privileged granddaughter of a wealthy wine grower. She is well acquainted with evil, having suffered kidnap attempts but truly has no idea ...more

Soooo, why on earth do I feel like I just finished a Kristen Ashley novel but with large cats and some Italian thrown in? I had to do a double check on the author, but nope it definitely said Christine Feehan.

But still, all the "Honeys", melting and OTT Alpha Caveman "living free" and "this is how it is for my woman" statements makes me wonder if CF is channeling, in the midst of a KA marathon during the writing of this book or are they sharing the same word processor?

I don't know, but now I am
Other books in the Leopard People series are more enjoyable than Wild Cat, which I am not recommending. The angst issue in the H/h relationship was repeated ad nauseum for three-fourths of the book. They never had more than two minutes of dialogue without being overcome with lust for one another. Too many repetive sex scenes really bogged down the pace of the story and made it a chore to finish. The action picked up at the very end, but the ending cried out for an epilogue-- which was not there. ...more

So I got this from Soonya's status update, while she was reading the book:

Siena Arnotto, is a young woman that was raised by her grandfather. Recently she has been starting to feel different. Her grandfather's right-hand man has been making her nervous even though she has known him since she was a teenager. Her grandfather asks her to send a friend of his a birthday gift of wine. When she arrives, it's Elijah Lospostos, a man she has always had a crush on. Upon her arrival into his home,

Real talk... for me, Ms. Feehan's books just keep getting worse. I really loved her earlier works, but the last several I've read have left me shaking my head. Is this even her writing anymore???

This particular book seemed like one long, repetitive sex scene with some jumbled up, confusing plot mixed in here and there. Neither of the main characters was likable, and there were times when each was intolerable.

Also, shout out to the most random and incorrect use of the word subsapce I've ever seen

I have been a fanatical fan of Christine Feehan for 16 years. I have read everything that she has ever written. I have re read The Dark Series and The GhostWalker series so many times I have lost count. But Wild Cat and the last 2 books CF has written were so disappointing I felt like crying. I feel like I have lost an old friend. She was my go to author when I wanted to read or re read a great PR. Now I am at a lost for words. I have waited for Elijah's st

It was a simple request, but one look at Elijah Lospostos and things turn heated and end up with Sienna Arnotto shaken, confused and accused of setting him up in this pulse-pounding paranormal romance.

With her grandfather assassinated and her leopard rising within, Elijah is the only one she can trust and the reader can’t help but get caught up in heat as Sienna and Elijah share not only an animal instinct for survival but a desire so raw and wild that it may be the only thing that saves them.

Excellent Leopard series book. Feehan is my favorite author & I cannot get enough of her books. From cover to cover I am engrossed in the story line. Be it the Carpathians, Leopard people, Sea Haven series or the Ghostwalkers. I love the way she writes & from the first chapter to the last I am hooked. I pre-order her books so I can get them when they come out. I have read all the Carpathian series & am awaiting the newest; also all the Leopard series awaiting the newest. The newest Ghostwalker s ...more

I hate to say it but this one would have been better had it not been filled with sex. It seemed to take over the story and not in a good way. I didn't like that from the beginning Elijah went out of his way to hurt Siena. Yes he would find a way to get her forgiveness, but it happened again and again. It really made me not like him. The one nice thing is that Siena found friends she could talk with. ...more

Too many repetitive phrases for book filler and our hero was a bit to alpha for me to really enjoy the story. He kept telling our heroine to just get over it. He didn't mean the horrible things he said...she should just get over it and let that go. *eye-roll* The book ended in a strange place to me. I am going to hang on with the series until Antonio's story and then I think I am done. ...more

Sometimes, a beloved father is not exactly who you thought he was. Siena Arnotto learns this much too late when she realizes she's been a pawn in a dangerous game. What is worse, she doesn't realize she is "special". This story could be about a spoiled princess getting sold off to the man her grandfather chooses. It is more than that. I enjoyed how Siena learned about her past. I also liked how she brings Elijah Lospostos to his knees.

This is a familiar trope where the alpha guy says terrible th

I had the pleasure of meeting Leydy (Once Upon a Twilight) at a South Florida Bloggers event at Books & Books. It was book love at first site :) We were discussing one of our favorite genres, Young Adult Fiction, and I mentioned that one of my issues with this genre was the lack of sex. You can just leave me here… forever….

Intense love, scorching sex and tense suspense rocked this one out of the park for me. This author is on my “must read before the ink is dry” list but this one… This one just struck every chord and then went back and struck them again.

Siena Arnotto is beautiful, smart and unbelievably tongue-tied when it comes to her grandfather’s neighbor, Elijah Lospostos. The feelings of heat and yearning she’s had recently amp up even higher when she finds herself on his

I keep hoping that she'll go back to her old style of writing - stronger plots, sex scenes that enhance the story (and are actually sexy rather than abusive) and characters that aren't involved in an abusive relationship. I think I'm going to have to give up though - Elijah is like her other male characters from the Ghostwalker books and the other Leopard books as well as the more recent Carpathian books. He won't tolerate his woman doing anything he doesn't approve of, she must leave decisions ...more

LOVED Sienna, Elijah... not so much. In fact I absolutely hated him throughout the first half of the book. And, that was quite a disappointment for me because he has been a favorite of mine in previous books. He always seemed very quiet and somewhat tortured but very loving. Well, that changed in this story. He did redeem himself as time went on, though, so 4 stars it is.

Yeah, don’t let that blurb fool you. Siena starts out an idiotic, oblivious, blithering fool so worried about her libido and her looks that she never took a moment to merely take a look at her life. And Feehan turned Elijah Lospostos, a character I have been waiting on for years, into a sadist, and brute, and all but a rapist. After the situation with his sister he damned well should have known better. And because of his actions she is sent back to a situation where she is brutally beaten, then ...more
