Paula Vince has made an interesting start to the Quenarden trilogy with well-rounded characters that the readers have opportunity to really get to know and identify with, and a good solid, exciting plot. The story is reminiscent of C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe in that the three heroes find a secret passage into another world called Quenarden, where they discover they play a major role in Quenarden’s prophesies in freeing the people from a fear-based dictatorship form of gover ...more

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardarobe meets MacBeth if written by Louisa Alcott. A compelling enough story for children.
