Coming Apart at the Seams
Love can take some time to break in...
Teagan O’Brien, heiress to the Riley O’Brien & Co. denim empire, is anything but a spoiled rich girl. She’s worked hard to secure her place in the family business and can hold her own, in and out of the office. Only one ...more
Ugh...this book was so bad. I should've just kept it as a do-not-read rather than getting curious in order to find out if it was really that bad. And it was. OMG was it ever. And I love that my original remarks about this book were right on the mark ("Manwhore H who's a sexist douche.") about the so-called "hero." The only positive thing I have to say about this is THANK GOD I borrowed it and didn't pay.
The "hero"/zero is a total sexist manwhore. He has ...more
The writing was accomplished and slick. Despite some misgivings with the character actions it was easy and quick to read.
The hero and heroine have been friends for years. Actually he’s been friends with her older brothers and has liked her ...more
Teagan O'Brien took a risk getting involved with her best friend and it blew up in her face when he walked away and broke her heart. It's been a few years since then and now he's back wanting a second chance, something she is definitely not willing to give him, but her body does not s ...more
Nick...oh, wow. I absolutely adored him. The way he is written, it's almost impossible not to--he's the kind of guy that you're sympathetic toward due to his impediment, but still lust after thanks to him being exceedingly hot and sexy--and a football player to boot. He's also incredi ...more

Reviewed for herding cats & burning soup.
Oh yes. Sutton has charmed me completely!
Okay so the quick of it is that Nick was best friends with Teagan's brothers and while the two of them were living away from home for a few years they struck up a friendship of their own. One that, of course, led to more...and a spectacularly bad break up. And, now, years later, Nick is ready to make amends and try to win back the woman he's never stopped loving. She however? Still mi ...more

So in love right now! Teagan and Nick are exceptional and will leave you wanting more. This story is so emotional. There were several scenes that had me bawling like a baby. These two were made for each other. Nick has his work cut out for him after the way he left things years ago. Teagan and Nick had a close friendship going on. It was beautiful to read about. Teagan’s character is sure of herself and knows what she wants out of life. Nick, on the other hand, is swimming in ...more
Nick Priest is a famous pro football player, who is best friends with Quinn and Cal (Teagan’s brothers), and he is also a heartrob. Nick knows he hurt Teagan years before ...more
I thought about it a few times, but I passed it up again. Nothing truly grabbed me with the synopsis of book one and my TBR list was simply too long. But one day I was grocery shopping and ALL THE RIGHT PLACES was sitting on the shelves. Epilogue reader that I am read the end and just. Like. That...
I knew that this was a series I dumbly put to the side.
I absolutely loved this newest O'Brien to hit the scene -- Teagan is a lovely heroine who ...more
Teagan O'Brien has worked hard to earn her position at Riley O'Brien & Company even though she's an heir to the founder and her entire family works there. She never wanted anything handed to her, and only wanted to work there if she w ...more
There's nothing sweet about this story--it's raw, emotional, and complex. Nick and Teagan's story is a journey of friendship, love, regret, grace, commitment, and perseverance.
Nick and Teagan are both flawed, imperfect, but aren't we all??? It's refreshing to read a novel where the charact ...more

I have been dying for his story ever since I first met him in the previous book All The Right Places when he was introduced as the best friend of Quinn and there was hints he had broken the cardinal rule of best friends.
Sister off limits and there was a story waiting to be told for Nick as he may have it all with his charm and good looks. There was hidden hurt and the stutter that ...more
Why? Because it has two extremely vivid and well rounded characters who pull you into their story. And boy do they have one rollercoaster of a story. I really enjoyed the first book in this series (ALL THE RIGHT PLACES) but this second book is better (if you can believe it!).
COMING APART AT THE SEAMS answers a lot of questions that ...more

Years after she took her relationship with Nick Priest from friends to lovers—and he broke her heart into tiny pieces—Teagan O’Brien wants nothing to do with him. No matter how well he fills out her company’s signa ...more
This second story in the Riley O'Brien & Co series is about the sister. Yes, the one you may not have liked as much in the first book. But in COMING APART AT THE SEAMS I actually came to understand some of her bitter personality and where she came from, and actually liked her a bit!
We know her brothers' best friend wants her back after a bad past between them. We finally get to see the backstory. Of how Nick fell for his best friend's little sister, the connection they shared and how they bo
This is the second book in this series and I didn't read the first book but I didn't feel lost at all.
I really enjoyed this book and the way the author gave you a chance to get to know the characters instead of the insta-love I've seen a lot of.

The relationship they are building, over months of being just friends, are shadowed of the constant lust filled thoughts, they can't seem to be able to escape.
The foundation of their relationship was built over years of Nick being a family friend. But now it was personal, and their common interests, and unique connection and underst ...more
Coming Apart at the Seams starts off fast, furious, and red-hot, then turns into something much more. Jenna Sutton’s second Riley O’Brien & Co. book is an excellent blend of sweetness, hope, heartbreak, sensuality, and second chances.
Teagan O’Brien is smart, confident, and can’t be rattled – except by Nick Priest. Nick has always been her brothers’ friend, but a few years ago Teagan and Nick became friends in th ...more
This review also appears on Pretty Sassy Cool, along with a great interview with Jenna Sutton.
Coming Apart at the Seams by Jenna Sutton combines some of my very favorite tropes: hot, sensitive football player (Sports Romance), friends to lovers, falling for the best friend's little sister, and second chance romance. It's total win.
A few years ago, BFFs Teagan and Nick had a thing, and he left. He wants to rekindle their relationship, but friends isn't enough for him--he wants it all. Som ...more
I was already intrigued by the backstory between Teagan and Nick after the kiss they shared in All the Right Places. I knew I had to read their story, and what a story it turned out to be!
Teagan is Quinn's sister. She works for the family business and she's a lawyer. She's smart, hard worker, and loves her family. She is tight with her two brothers although she almost messed up Quinn and Amelia's relationship. She fell in love with Nick years ago when they both were living in Boston. She tho ...more
Nick has known Teagan and her family for fifteen years through a friendship with Teagan's older brother, Quinn. Four years ago, Nick found out he moved to the same city as Teagan after being traded and reached out to her for some company. Friendship slowly turned into something more, until Nick freaked out and shattered Teagan's heart, leaving her a shell of the woman she used to be. Years later, Nick is back and desperate to make amends. He's been tr ...more
