This is the third and final installment to the True Calling series by Siobhan Davis. I was very kindly given all three books as arcs to read and review. You can see my other reviews for the first two below

Beyond Reach

First off, these covers are amazing! They are SO beautiful!

Spoiler Alert!

Siobhan Davis writes this amazing dystopian novel with just a little bit of everything you want, action, love, friendships, and sadly loss. She does this perfectly in this page-turner series. I

WARNING! WARNING! This book contains a double, multi-generational love triangle. This is not for the squeamish reader. Recommended for those who enjoy a high level of personal drama and angst interspersed in their science fiction.

Rating:4.5/5 stars. I really enjoyed this third book and thought it ended the series well. However, Beyond Reach is still my favorite.

Let's start with the parents and their triangle. This reminded me of the story of Jacob and Leah and Rachel from the bible. Nate treated

Once again, Siobhan Davis’s easy-going writing style, ability to bring characters to life and brilliant plotting techniques that had me hooked from word one are leaving me ALMOST speechless. Destiny Rising is one more showcase for Ms. Davis’s magnetic writing style in a world balancing precariously on an upcoming decisive moment in time. The government is feeling the pinch of the revolutionaries trying to free both Novo and Earth from the self-serving clutches of those in power. The time is now ...more

Where do I start? first things first *happy dance*

It was beyond brilliant, totally unputdownable, wildly entertaining, edge of the seat action, full of suspence, it totally rocked.

Loved the ending, loved the book. Seeing Ari go through a hormonal pregnancy I see my former self as an 18 year old and pregnant. All the little fights I had, yet 17 years later I am still with my man. I hope Ari stays with hers.

I loved the different POV's.

This book went the way I wanted it to *insert another Happ

This book takes place directly after the events of Beyond Reach. Ari is worried about Zane, but new memories have also resurfaced that change everything. Ari must also come to terms with her relationship with Cal, while developing her abilities. The rebellion is also on a rise and it all will end, one way or another.

Like the others in the series, this series

AMAZING Sci-Fi, Romance Series!

This series would make a great movie saga. This review has a hell of a lot of spoilers.

Arianna is one of my favorite YA characters. I like the fact that she is constant. Also that she stands up and fights for what she believes in. I was okay with the mistakes Ari made because she is human. We all make mistakes. The difference being; Ari admitted and owned up to hers. I think that is what makes her a strong honorable person.
Ari was put in a horrible situa

Siobhan Davis is one of my favourite authors, and the True Calling series was the only series of hers I had not read. Thus, I’ve recently amended that issue. Although it was a decent series, I can honestly say it is not my favourite Siobhan Davis read. Without a doubt, Siobhan Davis has come a long way since writing the True Calling series.

Even though I was not crazy about the two prior books, I did give them both three-star ratings. A part of me considered doing so with Destiny Rising, but I co

The first novel had a lot going for it and I was very excited for it, but Ari and Cal's relationship always seemed so damn forced and not real to me and it started to make more sense when Zane was introduced WHY the relationship seemed so fake. With the first novella, I suppose it may endear people to Cal but it just made me think ev

I always get a fear inside myself when I get to the last book of a series, and I will admit I got that with this book too. I always worry that even though I loved the other books that the author would end the book in a way that ruined the whole story for me. I should have known that Siobhan wouldn't have disappointed me.

This book is so full of action and suspense. You already know things are going to go down since it is the ending of the trilogy but you are still left biting your nails as you fl

“But I know my mind and this is my destiny.”

The answer to all questions and speculations of Novo and Earth residents is finally given. The last installment in the fantasy, science fiction True Calling Trilogy, Destiny Rising, is the antidote for the cliffhanger given by Siobhan Davis.

It was written like the other books in this trilogy, fast- paced and surprising. After reminding everyone how things ended in Beyond Reac

Oh. My. God. Before I can even get into all of my thoughts about this book let me just say this. YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES! The first two books are just a set up of the mass amounts of craziness that will make your mind feel like a tornado of craziness with all of your emotions constantly slapping you in the face. I can’t remember a book that took ahold of me as much as this one did. There were so many times where I told myself that it couldn’t get any more twisted, and what does Mrs. Davis d ...more

Must Read!!! Oh man! I'm so sad it's over! Destiny Rising was an excellent conclusion to a tremendously wonderful series! I absolutely loved this series, and reading this book has made me want to re-read the first book in the series, True Calling, I have a yearning to read about these characters as they once were. So much has happened to these characters, and they all have grown so much! Ari was amazing in this book, and I loved that she was right in the action and she was so strong! She's such ...more

I was given a copy of the first two books in this series by the author in exchange for an honest review. After reading the first, I just HAD to buy the novella that comes between 1 and 2 and read that first. After reading 2, I HAD to buy the other novella as well as book 3 when it came out. I'm not disappointed that I did either. This series is extremely good! It combines my love of dystopian fiction, along with my love of paranormal things. And we even get a bit of tech nerdiness and Sci-Fi as ...more

So so so many emotions with this one. I've been Team Cal since the beginning, but I finally started to have my doubts. Their relationship is such a mess and get so ugly, that I wasn't sure they could move forward. And I really like Zane as well... can't a girl just have two boyfriends? Sister wives style... or brother husbands? It could totally work.

A lot of secrets are revealed throughout this book, and so many things make sense now. Amidst all the relationship and family drama, there's a prett

I have very mixed emotions about this book.

First of all everything just seemed waaayyy too rushed.

The plot seemed to make up for it though.

I really love this series but everything was definitely rushed.

A Leisure Moment

With intergalactic battle, love that traverses countries—entire planets—and endless twist and turns, this entire series deserves a spot on your e-reader. Thank you so much, Siobhan Davis, for allowing me an opportunity to fall in love with these characters! For science fiction and romance fans, this is the perfect young adult series that discovered a delicate balance of both.

I love this whole series! This short story is a prequel to the True Calling series, and gives us more background on Ariana's parents, and Cal's dad. This was about the problems that occurred between the parents when they were younger. Cal's dad has never been one of my favorite people, but this story did make me feel bad for him. This should be read after the main books of the series; at least the first 2 books, because there are some spoilers in it. For anyone who loves this series, definitely ...more

This review is just going to break my heart so much.

In complete honesty, I really had mixed feelings about this book. First lemme talk about the characters. Arianna was a great heroine in this book. She is extremely strong and had a lot of sass. However, I really had a love hate relationship with her. Her actions and lies in this book irked me to no end. I really could understand why Cal was angry at her. Also, Zane don’t get me started on him. I felt

Just woah.. This series was a whirlwind of a love story. So much action.. twists and turns. In the end I am happy everyone is happy. I only wonder what happened with Isla?
I was really happy for Zane in finding his happiness. Him and Cal were able to chill out and actually be in the same room together without wanting to hurt each other. That was great.
I could not put any of the books down till I was done. I had to know what happened. Amazing work! :-)

My thoughts are still kind of jumbled, as sometimes happens to me after reading a book with a lot of plot action. There was so much going on in this book. I think I'm definitely going to completely reread the whole series in a few weeks or so, to really get the full effect. I wanted to reread the whole series beforehand, but also didn't want to wait to read the final installment.

One of the things I liked about Beyond Reach was that within minutes of reading I was right there in Siobhan's world

I fell in love with the characters, felt like I knew them personally! I literally cried with them and cheered them on out loud! My husband thinks I've lost it! I can't say enough about this book and series! I was on the edge of my seat, perfectly paced with just enough action to keep me interested and reading every word (I have a tendency to skim if fighting is too drawn out), and the live was sweet with no sex scenes, thank you! A must read!

Destiny Rising is the final book in the True Calling trilogy. Before reading this, I strongly recommend reading the first two in the trilogy as well as the two in-between short stories that fill in some of the backstory. That being said, this book catapults the reader back into the midst of the Zane-Ari-Cal love triangle, and then some. Add in the nasty turn the revolution is taking, pregnancy hormones run rampant, and misunderstandings and jealousy, and it’s one wild rollercoaster of action and ...more

For a conclusion of a series I would say that I'm semi-satisfied. I do like my happily-ever-afters so I'm pleased about some aspects (keeping vague for those who have yet to delve into the world of True Calling), but since I've always been on Team Zane I can't honestly say that I'm 100% happy with the way the series ended. I've always felt that Ariana had a deeper soul connection with Zane and a more lustful connection with Cal. Through most of the story I wa

Destiny Rising is the last instalment in the wonderful True Calling trilogy by Siobhan Davis. It's a series I've loved thus far, and Destiny Rising did not break that flow.
