Sofia had leukemia as a child and her family has treated her with kid gloves which she is very tired of. She used yoga to help her through hard times and is now an instructor. When she is brought in to teach yoga to the local football team she has to convince Max, the coach, that they can benefit from it. I cannot tell you how funny the lessons that ensure are. This was a wonderful read about a woman who due to a childhood illness hasn't always been treated as a woman by her famil

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the fifth book in Ms. Shay's The Ludzecky Sisters series. I really suggest reading them in order. The large family is in each book and knowing the previous history helps to keep you from getting a little lost.
Handle With Care is the story of Sofia. She had leukemia as a child and her family has definitely treated her with kid gloves and worried about her endlessly. She's tired of it. She has used yoga to help her thro

Handle with Care is the fifth book in the Ludzecky Sisters series by Kathryn Shay.
Sofia has learned to enjoy the simple things in her life since she survived having Leukemia as a teenager. Now owning and running her Yoga studio, spending time with her family and friends were the things that she thought were important in her life. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Handle With Care. Kathryn creates real life situations and allows her characters to have flaws and be believable. Sofia and Max confront a health scare that in the past has scarred them and shaped their view how they deal with it. Kathryn allows both characters to become vulnerable and learn to reach out to each other. You cannot go wrong by choosing this book.

If you haven't read any of Kathryn Shay's books you are truly missing out on something. Sofia was sick as a child so now as an adult she tries to eat healthy and she owns a yoga studio. When she is introduced to the football coach at the high school, Max, he thinks yoga is for sissies. Once he tries it and they get to know one another he starts to understand that there is a lot more to it, and her. Wonderful story, emotional, grabs the reader from the beginning.

Ludzecky #5

Kathryn Shay has another great story with Sophia Ludzecky and Max Walker. They meet at the high school Max teaches at when Sophia agrees to teach yoga at the high school. As they begin to know each other, things heat up quickly but life has a way of interfering. Will that have a HEA?

An interesting story, enjoyable to read and you felt empathy for Sophia and Max. I did wish the suspenseful part would have been more.

Looking back, Kathryn says she should have known then that writing was in her future. But as so often happens, fate sent her detouring d ...more
