I enjoyed this book, but wasn't totally wowed. The writing is solid and I was interested until the end. However, as interesting as the crime storyline was I was wishing for more romance. I did appreciate that Will wasn't a manwhore, but I did wish Camellia had more of a sexual past than just her cheating husband that died in one of the previous books. Also I thought there were a few too many references to the fact that Camellia had a huge crush on Will in high school, but he never gave her a sec ...more

4.75 Stars...Really, I love this one, too. To be fair, I have admired(been lusting after) Will since book one of this series. It was a pretty perfect book for me. O'Neill does ramp up her danger factor in the Southern Comfort Series. I have one book left in the pre-trilogy of that series. It's a great credit to this author that I can read all her books and not get bored;)

Will "The Wolf" Hawbaker

If you enjoy a level of suspense mixed with a smoldering love story, and not the cheesy kind, this book is a fun read. Lisa writes believable characters, full of wit, the kind of people you could see yourself having a drink with at the end of the day.

Follow The Evidence. This book flows well from the previous book, much like the previous book did from the book before it. Here, we delve further into the story of Will and Cam, who first met up in Admit One. But this time, the stakes are higher than they've been in Sweetwater. Ever. There was a kid that was murdered, and right when Will thinks he finally found his man... it turns out, his evidence was too circumstantial. There is another killer on the loose. And Will just put his burgeoning fam ...more

I'm a fan of LCO and have read most of her books. This one was a slow start for me and at 10% it was a struggle. I wasn't engaged which surprised me as I have liked a number of her stories. For whatever reason, I never felt fully vested in either Cam or Will even though I had been looking forward to their story. (The characters were featured in the prior book in the series.) I have to admit that Barney, Cam's dog, was actually one of my favorite characters.

I liked the plot that LCO deve

LCO just doesn't write bad books. This book was totally AWESOME!!! As usual the plot was gripping and kept you guessing until the end. The characters were very well developed. And the reader gets to meaningfully catch up with many of the Sweetwater supporting characters and previous H/hs. The romance between the H/h for this book was both sweet and spicy and I just can't say enough about how much I LOVED this book!!! I'm serious. You should go pick up a copy right now. Great work Ms. O'Neill :)

Excellent series!

I am now totally addicted to this writer - that makes only 6 - and can't wait for more. Her writing style reeled me in right away, and I do so appreciate the fact that her grammar is excellent. I would love to hear that there will be more added to this series, is that possible?

Absolutely loved all three books in this series. The suspense is riveting, the sex not over the top and the language is reasonable. The development of characters throughout the books is so good you want most of them for friends. Oftentimes the characters obsess over situations over and over again. Not so with this author. I liked how the author started developing the lead characters for the next books from the beginning. I will definitely read more from this author.

Circumstantial Evidence review

Circumstantial Evidence is the third very humorous romantic suspense book in the Sweetwater series written by author Lisa Clark O'Neill.

When I love the way an author writes, I will devour all books by that writer and eagerly anticipate the new ones, auto-buying every time. Lisa Clark O’Neill is such an author - her books are always well-written, full of well-drawn characters and witty dialogue. Her third book in the Sweetwater Trilogy is not exception - I read it in one sitting!

Chief of Police Will Hawbaker was introduced early on in the series and was a character you were immediately drawn to. His family was one of the original
A great read yet again!

I read this book with trepidation because it means I have finished all of Lisa Clark O'Neill published works. In just over a week. Without sleep or proper nutrition. Or a clean house. You get the picture. Anyway it didn't disappoint and I really liked the mystery because I had a feeling that things were going the way they did. (I always feel pleased when I am on the right track.)

Will is hot. I loved the sexual interplay between Will and Cam and also how each set of protago

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. Interesting story. Kept my interest and kept me guessing. Surprised by the revelation of the killer. Will Hawbaker is chief of police in Sweetwater,South Carolina. He meets up with an old classmate, Camellia Abernathy , where a body has been discovered. Camellia has had a major crush on Will since they were in school and since she is recently widowed, she thinks of Will all the time. Although Will regrets not hooking up wi ...more

Another one that I just couldn't put down! Lisa's books are always guaranteed entertainment. I read it all in one afternoon, moved along by the needs of the characters and the intricate details of the plot. The personal and emotional elements were tied in so well that it really made the story grab you, increasing the tension for all characters involved. After poor Will getting the runaround in Admit One, it was nice to see him finally get together with Cam, and the tension of him trying to prote ...more

I really liked the Sweetwater series. I hope there are more coming. Will has been my favorite character since the beginning and I am so glad he is featured in this book. Murder and mayhem, with life, love, and laughter all included. Nice package if you ask me :)

Compared to her other books, this is is a little bland. The mystery is too much in the background while the romance - not so convincing. Still, this author's writing style is quite good, hence the two stars.
