I thought he was "Smokey the Bear" this entire time. Hmmm? I had this stashed hidden away at my parents house, and wanted reread it again. This is a great story to read, and having any type of historical fiction is a plus for me. The illustrations are good and the story has a reminder on the source of why (let me get this right) Smokey Bear is connected with the National Park Services.

I read this comic book as a kid and loved it. Up until that time, I didn't know the National Park icon was based on a real-life bear cub.
