Only for Her

Rate this book
The second installment in the Only series. Must read book one first!!

First loves never die but Grayson Ford comes close. Bleeding out in a war zone, he barters with God. Bring him back alive, and he'll make it right with his girl.

All I want is Emma. I need her, and I fight for her memory. A story. A smile. Anything. But it's all blank .

Emma is not his girl anymore. Time has skipped by and life's been hard. She strips to pay the bills, waitresses to fill the hours between classes and her third job. All while working to be the best mama she can be to the little girl who will never know her daddy. Even though Grayson abandoned her, she mourned his death. Until he calls, and everything she knew was wrong.

It's him. The him that ruined my life. That made my life. That confused my mind to the point that I can't figure out if I've been destroyed or set free. The him that... is... dead.

He's back with one objective--Emma Kingsley--and she never sees it coming.

Only for Her is the second installment in the Only series.

I liked the first part much better. While the first one was interesting start to this series, this one was just meh.

After that huge cliffhanger in the previous part, we start with Gray's coming back from the dead and Emma's struggling between three jobs, school and taking care of her daughter. Grayson just comes back after three years of no word from him, he demands forgiveness, they have hot sex, do some explaining, agree on trying again and that's it for now.

I love good second chance romance but I want my hero to grovel when he was wrong, this one didn't unfortunately. I'm gonna read the third part because I'm simply curious but I must say I wasn't impressed with this one, though the sex part was steamy.

4 - "Some things don't change... You saving me is one of them." Stars!

Emma and Gray return in Only For Her the second part of the Only series. Things have moved on three years since the first novella. Emma’s life is nothing like she originally was expecting for it to be after Grayson’s unexpected departure. Working multiple jobs, while trying to be a good mother to her daughter, things are pretty tough for her.

Gray was supposed to be my best friend. He was supposed to be the one I loved forever.

Gray in that time has literally stared down death and come out on the other side. Having lost his entire team, and almost bled out himself, he made himself promises, promises that he now intends to keep. One of those is to make things right with Ems, to try and repair the damage his departure did, and to look to the future, hopefully with her in it.

Only For Him was the beginning and the end of the start of this couples relationship. Gray left Emma at the time she needed him the most. Only For Her is definitely the beginning of the next stage of their relationship. A lot has changed for both of them in the intervening years, Gray is now a hardened ex-soldier, looking for a new direction in which to take his life, as well as deal with the things he left behind in his past, some of which he isn’t initially aware of when he returns to Emma.

I’ve hurt and abandoned, loved and left everyone there is too leave.

Emma has grown hugely over the course of the two novellas, she’s not that young, in love, slightly vulnerable girl anymore, the shape her life has take has molded her into a strong, focused woman. I liked the almost ‘role-reversal’ you see from the two of them as they reunite in every sense.

”Sometimes good things happen out of the blue.”

I am starting to fall in love with these characters, and pleased that there is more to come from them. Gray and Emma’s journey is far from done yet, and I am looking forward to seeing how Cristin continues their story in Only For Us, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out!

”I’ll tell you a story.”

So sick of second chance - rant coming

Why is it that the women have to remain celibate but the guy doesn't!! He loved her oh so much that he thought of her every day but yet when she says there's been no one else since you, he can't say the same!!!??? And then she had s@# without protection. I am so disappointed. Won't continue on. And what is with this Maize chick? I see drama afoot!!! But the hero just ruined it for me! I don't like that kind of 'love'!

*InkSlinger PR kindly provided me with an eARC*

The second installment of the Only series by Cristin Harber continues where we left of in Only For Him - Grayson is supposedly dead and Emma desperately tries to move on after everything that had happened. It's just not that easy. It never is.

I have to say that I enjoyed this a lot more than the first book! I remember that I liked the first one because of their cute relationship but that the ending really pissed me off ... but here? Everything makes sense and it's only half as bad as I imagined it, really.

In 3 years a lot can change and Emma has to experience that firsthand. I admired her for her strength and her will to do what is necessary and I think she did a pretty good job. She's still (well, kind of) the sweet, innocent and loving girl we met in the first installment but also different ... more mature and wiser. And Grayson? Well, he had a hard time too and he also changed a lot - to the better? I don't know yet. Everything that happened definitely affected him and I actually felt all his pain, sorrow and guilt. The author did a pretty good job at describing all of this. really I loved the author's ideas in this book and can't wait to find out how everything will turn out for the characters!

Since this is not really a book - more like a serial or novella - I knew it would be short and therefore a quick and easy read. I finished this within a day, so it's definitely something to read in between. I'm pretty excited for the next installment now because this one also ended with a cliffhanger ... at least not a terribly cruel one but I'm very, very curious! :)

Letter to the author or publisher:

Why do you do this?? I'm not saying it in that cute jokey type way, I'm dead serious. Why? Splitting this book up into four tiny novellas is completely unnecessary and to me, it's simply a way to make more money. I do really enjoy the story and props to you for writing it because I loved it, but I really disagree with the choice either you or your publisher made to split this book up.

Split up into two books I could understand MAYBE, but 4? Each is less than 100 pages. Why should I pay $4 for every 100 pages I read? The average eBook costs $9.99 however at the price of those four books, it'll end up costing me $15.99. Yes I understand that "book 1" is free at the moment, but still that's $11.99 for three novellas which is more than an actual full book! I know I probably sound stingy as hell right now, and maybe I am. But why should I pay $15.99/$11.99 for an eBook when I can go out and buy an actual physical book for $12??

Maybe I am being ignorant. Maybe I am being over dramatic (actually I know I most likely am) but I just think that it is completely unfair to ask that much money for such tiny instalments. And before anyone says something like "just borrow the book from the library" these books aren't available at my library. Also I'm a poor Uni student who has been living off of hotdogs and noodles for 3.5 years.

Book 1: 91 pages
Book 2: 94 pages
Book 3: 88 pages
Book 4: 89 pages
*print length according to iBooks

Having said all of that, I'm really looking forward to continuing this series of instalments. I'm just incredibly pissed off at how I have to go about doing so.

This story just keeps getting better and better. Only for Her is the 2nd of 4 in the Only series. It's basically a novel in parts so don't try starting with this book and think you won't be lost.

In this installment Grayson finds himself alone in a hospital recovering from a war injury. He's lost his team and life seems hopeless when it comes to him that this is his second chance. He can find Emma and make things up to her. He knows she may have moved on but he's willing to take that chance. After all there is nothing in his life that he has ever been more sure about than knowing that Emma Kingsley is his.

Emma has moved on with her life but not in the ways that Grayson thinks. She's been forced to keep moving on but she's never stopped loving the boy that she knew even if he did just walk out of her life without looking back taking her heart with him.

In high school, our home-ec teacher loved The Thorn Birds. She showed it every year in one of her classes. And she had it timed perfectly that we'd get sucked into the story and whenever we'd get to a climax in the movie and just had to know what happened next, the bell would ring and we'd have to wait till the next day.

Well, Cristin Harber has brought that same feeling back to me as an adult! And she know's exactly what she's doing!! She provides so many feelings and so much detail in such a short novella that I still feel like I've been immersed in a full-length novel. And boy, can she pick the spots to leave us with a cliff hanger!!! :) But despite the cliffy, she's given me so much that I didn't feel gypped off and left hanging too bad. I'm definitely excited for next month when part 3 arrives and the month after that with the conclusion!

I loved seeing how strong but yet vulnerable Emma has become as an adult - I absolutely adore her. And Gray... well Gray just plowed his way in, made me swoon and completely swept me off my feet!! I mean, just listen to him:

"Prepare yourself, Ems. I'm coming for you and I want forgiveness."

"I'm back with one mission. You."

"It's always been you."

I think this is one of the most highlighted novellas I've got!!

Only for Her is an amazing addition to the Only series - and you don't want to miss it!!!

This is the second book in a series of four. I quite enjoyed the first book, I liked the premise and the way things were done and the cliffy at the end left me wanting the second book but I was a bit book poor so I didn’t buy the second for a while. As soon as I bought the second book, I dove right in and I have to say that I was definitely a bit disappointed with the second book.

Gray just pops back into Emma’s life and she doesn’t make him work for it at all!! I mean, he abandoned her and hasn’t talked to her in years and yet we spend the whole story waiting for the inevitable to happen because we all know Emma is going to fold like cheap cardboard. Then just when they may be coming to the serious issues it ends!!

I feel like nothing happened in this book. Obviously Gray was going to come back, that was a given, and obviously Emma was still in love with him. I didn’t get any answers in this book. This book felt like when your teacher assigns a ton of worksheets just to keep you busy. I felt like it was just given to me so I could spend money on the story being dragged out as much as possible. Unfortunately I don’t think I am going to continue with the series.

Another great installment in this novella series. Gray has finally manned up and decided to make amends for past wrongs. Ems is working herself to the bone in order to support her family and put herself through college. Her character really shone through in this one and I admired her strength and her resilience. Her love for Gray hasn't dissipated in the slightest and I felt her pain (although I do believe his apparent demise was glossed over and her reactions weren't shown realistically.)

I thought Gray was very presumptuous when he made a reappearance and that Ems capitulated way too easily but I could forgive it because these two share a soul-deep forever-love connection that is all consuming. Wow, their chemistry just bled off the page and I totally ship them. That ending had me reaching for the next episode straight away!

Again, it's well written and it flows well, and I'm definitely enjoying this series.

Thanks to the author and Inkslinger PR for providing a complimentary copy of this novella which I have voluntarily reviewed.

I had very high hopes for this one.  There were things in the first one that I wasn't crazy about (just a personal preference, mind you) and I was hopeful that with character maturity, I'd enjoy this one more.  Well, I did.  I totally did!  When I finished it, I immediately did two things, 1. Took a deep breath 2. Ran to Facebook and demanded that Cristin Harber give me volume 3.  Um yeah, not my best moment ever.  In a nutshell, Emma believes Grayson is dead and well, he isn't and all he wants to do is find Emma.  I appreciated the depth of his love for her and how he stopped at NOTHING to get to her.

"You show up, and we end up in bed.  What kind of girl does that make me?"

Easiest answer I've had all night.  "It makes you mine."

The moments following their reunion were intense, heartbreaking and passionate. Gray has some serious issues to deal with where women are concerned and how thinks that all he does is let them down.

Learning about a daughter he didn't know he had was an intense moment for him and I ached for him.  I ached for both of them, Emma, for working so hard by herself to create a life for her and her daughter Cally and for Grayson and the horrible things he had endured in his life and during his deployment.

If there were two people who deserved a break or two and an epic HEA, it's Grayson and Emma. I cannot wait for volume 3, Only for Us, which releases April 14th.

The Only series is sweet, passionate and completely addictive!!

Emma Kingsley had her whole life ahead of her and tons of plans for it. At least until the day that Grayson unexpectedly left town, leaving her alone and pregnant. It's been three long years since Grayson left and Emma is the definition of a single mom. She works two paying jobs, has an internship on the side, goes to college and takes care of her daughter. Emma isn't one for hand outs and has a hard time accepting help from anyone. She's too pissed to fail. She will succeed and she'll show Grayson that she doesn't need him. Then the horrible day came when she learned of his death. She second guessed her anger towards him and mourned the death of her child's father. You'll never guessed how surprised she was when he pops back into her life.

Only for Her is the perfect continuation of the first novel in this series, Only for Him. Before I picked this one up, I went and reread the first one because I wanted to make sure that I didn't forget anything and I'm glad that I did. Rereadings usually bring stuff to my attention that I missed the first time and I missed a couple of things ... I just devoured it so quickly. I was hoping that I could slow the heck down for this one so that I didn't miss one single thing. And that was really hard to do. I found Only for Her to pick up right where the previous novel left off and it felt like it was a part of the first book instead of just a continuation. And that's refreshing. I've read too many novels where the second book reads just a tad differently because the author has honed their craft a little more and just becomes ... better. But that didn't happen this time and I think it's because Harber was already a force to be reckoned with in the literary world ... there wasn't really anything she needed to improve upon.

I really liked the characters still and I felt like I was able to get to know them just a tad better than I had before. The pull that Harber was able to create between two fictional people is just captivating. It felt like I was reading a true story about one of my friends. Everything was so real and raw and honest, I just really enjoyed it. The story followed a natural progression in the storyline and nothing felt forced or fake.

I'm excited to see what the third novella has in store for these characters. Harber knocked this one out of the park. Again.

Firstly, I need to say a MASSIVE thank you to Cristin Harber for sending me an early copy of this book!!! With the cliff hanger ending we were left with in the first book of this series, the not knowing what would come next was killing me and she very gratefully put me out of my misery.
Now, onto the book...
We were taken on a rollercoaster ride in Only for Him and the ride continues in this book. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT let how short this story is make you think that not a lot happens, cause let me tell you, I feel like I've read a whole novel where the characters and their development is concerned, and the story isn't over yet!!!
The fact that both of them have been through so much hasn't been over dramatised, in fact, it's been done perfectly so we have just enough angst to make you feel their emotions and feelings and want to keep reading to find out if they're going to get their happily ever after.
It is so beautifully written, you can't help but fall in love with the characters, their lives and struggles. I'm hoping that they get their happily ever after sooner rather than later, but I know they have more trials and tribulations to go through before everything can be hunky-dory, and again, with the killer ending, I feel like I'm going to be holding my breath until I can get my grubby hands on the next installment of this series!!!

The second installment in the Only series. Must read book one first!!

Emma fell in love with Grayson a long time ago. But then after one amazing night together he just disappeared out of her life. She heard through the grapevine he joined the army and as hard as she tried to find him she finally gave up when she heard the worst news possible, Grayson had died overseas. Now Emma sees Grayson everyday in the daughter that he never even knew they had. Emma refuses to ask for help and is doing whatever she can to provide for her daughter.

Grayson left Emma because he believed she would be better off without him, but he never stopped loving her. Now being the only survivor of his platoon he is heading back to win back the only girl he ever loved. Only Emma will have a bigger surprise for him once she finds out he isn't dead.

All I want is Emma. I need her, and I fight for her memory. A story. A smile. Anything. But it's all blank .

This is the second installment and like the first it is a short one. I really liked the first book and this one was pretty good too except it just wasn't quite enough for me. I really like how strong Emma is and that even though Grayson hurt her she understands him and still loves him. It helps when you think someone died and then find out they are alive.

Grayson and Emma have a lot to work out but I cannot wait to find out how it happens.

Cue the "Emma and Grayson 4 Ever" support group.

If I thought I was in love with Emma and Grayson in "Only For Him," I was SO WRONG. I developed a complete girl crush on Emma in this book because of her independence, her strength, and her pure, unconditional DEVOTION. She has been put through hell and back, and still stands. Emma is my hero.

And Gray. Grayson Ford. My beautiful, sweet, broken Grayson. I love how this book gets into the guts of why Grayson is the way he is - the history of his relationship with his parents.

Really, this book is ALL about relationships. Emma's relationships, not only with Gray, but with her daughter, her father and brother, and the people she works with in the MANY jobs she holds. How those relationships have helped her grow, not just as an incredible mom, but as an individual.

And the ending. I died. I cannot WAIT to see if what I see in my head is how it continues in the third installment.

What I love about this series is how it shows that true love prevails no matter the consequences. It also adds in a bit of the "Titan twist" (hello, Parker!), totally encompassing the badass. :-)

Once again, brilliant job, Cristin. You are a master with words and emotions, touching your readers to the core, and I CANNOT wait to see what's to come!

The second instalment in Cristin Harber's Only series is another great read. Moving on three years, life for Gray and Emma has changed and each have moved on. Gray is coming to terms with his experiences in the forces and Emma is no longer the young love struck teenager. Having grown into a strong, independent, focussed young woman when she's reunited with Gray, her strength truly shines through.

“You were with me every day. Every night. I couldn’t let you go.”

This is a couple I have quickly grown to love and, whilst it doesn't leave us on quite the cliffhanger ending that Only for Him ended on, Only for Her has left me eager to see where Gray and Emma's journey takes them next.

Holy $h't but these cliffhangers are going to kill me. Where the first book introduces Greyson and Emma's beginning, this second installment is them coming back together as young adults struggling to see where they fit together after three years a part. Still an epic story just gets yummier and yummier. Grayson is one hot messed up dude who loves Emma with everything he is. I can't wait to see how he is as a dad because Emma definitively rocked it as a single mom. Also can't wait to see how Grayson feels about Emma's Wednesday night dancing....should be good!!
As I said before 4.5 stars 5 if these books were A. Longer or B. One complete book!

Only For her is the second book in the series, though I did enjoy it and thought it was sweet something was missing don't know what maybe because it was to short and it leaves as a cliffhanger. Three star for me.

Grayson has a lot of regrets in his life but leaving Emma is the one that haunts him. He had planned to finished out his term with the military but one mission changed everything and it has shown him that life can be taken in the blink of an eye and he is determined to win back the heart of the only woman he has ever loved.

With the help of her family Emma is balancing school, working and being a single mother. Her heart broke for the second time when she found out that Grayson had passed away so when he calls she is shaken to the core.

When they reunite the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever but he is still dealing with the aftereffects of his service and she has a secret that will change everything. The narrators do a great job of bringing out all the emotion and angst of this story.

My star rating for ONLY FOR HER is: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading an ARC Copy of ‘ONLY FOR HER’(via: BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novella of the Only Series.***

This is the 2nd installment titled “Only For Her” of a four part novella series by Cristin Harber. After having the chance to read and review the first novella of this series, I was hooked. “Only For Her” is of the New Adult genre and is a Contemporary Romance story that continues to follow the now adult characters Emma and Grayson. This novella is written in the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views), Grayson Ford and Emma Kingsley.

He is dead. Those words were enough to rip her heart open as soon as she heard the news going around town about Grayson Ford, her former best friend and the one guy she’s ever loved completely. She’s only ever loved him since they were kids and now he was gone but she needs to confirm it. She can’t believe it because rumors sometimes are just that, rumors and not true. She continues her busy schedule of taking classes, working three jobs and tending to her most important responsibility, the reason that drives her each day, raising her two year-old daughter Cally. Her twin brother Ryan has been protective of his sister ever since his best friend abandoned his sister with no word to anyone. Emma is determined to do it on her own and so far she has been struggling but doing it. When she receives an unexpected call, her world is sent into an emotional tailspin.

Grayson Ford should be dead. All of his fellow brothers that served along side him all died but he lived. How? Why? Was it his plea to God to live so he could make things right with the one girl he’s ever loved? Maybe. He’s alive but he’s not the same. The him from before is dead but the broken, tormented and determined him is set on finding Emma and fixing everything he ruined the day he left without a word. She’s all he’s ever thought about and he needs to ask for her forgiveness for running away. He doesn’t know where she is but he heads to the last place he left her and the last place he wants to ever return to.

Will Grayson be able to find Emma? Will Emma be willing to forgive Grayson or has that bridge been burned for good? Can the past be forgiven or has it been destroyed? This novella was such an amazing sequel in the Only Series. The story continues to be so captivating, with enjoyable characters, and a storyline that is mesmerizing as well as emotionally consuming. Grayson is darker and the alpha-male in him is more prominent now as an adult. He was book-boyfriend crush-able before but now he is absolutely alluring and irresistible. I highly recommend this novella and this series. The third installment “Only For Us” will be coming out very soon so be on the look-out for that one. I’m so ready to see where author Cristin Harber takes us as we follow the breath-taking story of Emma and Grayson. Heads Up: These novellas each end with a cliff-hanger feel to them but don’t worry. These novellas are coming out not that far apart so the wait is not long and definitely worth it! Loved this! You should positively pick up these novellas. You won’t be disappointed!

My star rating for ONLY FOR HER is: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. :)

Received an arc through NetGalley/InkSlinger in exchange for an honest review. Review part of blog tour; original post with quotes can be found at:

Waiting for these books to come out is like waiting to open the biggest wrapped box on Christmas.

So much so that when the serial is finished, I don't know what I'm going to do... I sure hope that Gray makes an appearance in Titan/Delta land, that's for darn sure.

When we left Gray and Emma in ONLY FOR HIM, we were years after that last night on the beach. Gray was in a bad military attack and Emma, who hadn't seen nor heard from Gray in years, was stripping to keep her daughter's belly fed and received a phone call saying that Gray's unit was attacked and it wasn't looking too good.

We open with Emma wanting answers.

To get them, she confronts Pops, Grayson's dad, and asks if Gray truly is dead. Pops, if you recall, doesn't really give two left who-ha's about his son and promptly tells Emma to leave.

Meanwhile, Gray is struggling. He's struggling with survivor's guilt, for one, but also because his saving grace for so many years -- Emma's face and her stories -- they're starting to fade. It scares him. Thanks to a friend (go, Parker!) he finds a way to get in contact with the girl who has always had his whole heart.

This addition to the series was just lovely. Everything about this book just did it for me. Timeline-wise, this was a quick one. Where book one spanned a good chunk of time, this one did not. This one was about Emma and Gray finding their ways back to one another, and finding it in each of their hearts to love the other again --

-- but really, neither has fallen out of love with the other.

I love that Emma is still headstrong. She's learned to be tougher over the years and she's learned how to put her foot down. This is not the exact same high school Emma we knew. Tough times taught her to strengthen her shield, and she's done so extremely well. Emma has made choices over the last few years that aide her daughter. She works three jobs, she gave up the college of her dreams, she lives off of three hour power naps... Yes, she's a young mom...

...but she's got that mom vibe down really well.

Granted, when you look at your daughter and see her daddy, who you love and miss, and when she asks for a story to make it better, and you hear her daddy, who you love and miss... It'd be hard not to bundle her close and never let her go. But besides that? Emma's a good mom. She's made her sacrifices and she believes they were the right ones.

Gray isn't naive to believe that Emma has stopped living when he left. He left because as much as he loved her, he felt she could do so much better. In hindsight, he regrets not giving her more choices, especially when he learns she's kept a child from him. He has the right to be angry and upset, as he was for a moment, but it wasn't like he gave her a way to communicate with him. He knows, though, that Emma was once his saving grace, and he'd do anything to get her back to that place.

It should be no surprise that Gray wants to know about Emma's life and about their daughter. It should be no surprise that Gray wants to keep them both in his life -- and he hasn't even met the little girl named for his mother yet.

I, personally, am not naive enough to think that from here on out, every thing's going to be rainbows and butterflies. We do, after all, have two more books to read about this little family.

...and I will be sitting here, anxiously awaiting for them to come.

5 Stars and again I can’t wait for the next installment!

Before I type one word about this installment in the Only series – answer me a question -
Did you read Only Him, if not go to your e-reader this very moment and get it and read it first!

Emma thought having her daughter was one of the emotionally hardest things she would ever have to do, then she clung to the hope Grayson would walk back into her life. Now she is facing the fact she must live the rest of her life without that hope and it is tearing her into pieces.

“So….how did you get my number?” Does he know about Cally? Surely if someone gave him my cell number, they mentioned his daughter. I want to be the one who shares that. When the time is right. Which is not now.
“I called a guy.”
“You called a guy?”
“Yeah.”
“Who?” What, are we in a CIA movie? Called a guy. I rub my forehead. “What kind of guy?”
“Someone who…finds people.”

Emma could have let everyone take care of her when she discovered she was pregnant, but she hasn’t; she has stubbornly refused all help, except for an occasional babysitter. I really admired that, and I appreciated how Cristin Harber didn’t make her challenges easy – she gave Emma realism. My heart ached for her when she started accepting Grayson would never come back.

Grayson, even at his young age he has turned into this gritty character worthy of the term hero. It has always been Emma in his heart and mind helping him move past the next challenge and then he lost the image of her face in his mind. He is determined, nothing will stop him from finding her. I think the minute he set out to find her I stopped breathing – and when you read this installment you will know the exact moment when I started breathing again – it was perfect. I am not going into any more detail or even allude to anything – you HAVE to read this.

Ems and Gray have so much to wade through. They were not an US before life tore them apart, they will move towards an US in the next installment Only Us – and I for one can not wait. They have to be an US, I don’t think my heart can handle it if they are not. I am terrified of the obstacles I sense, you can not read Only Him and not feel their connection, their love. I have faith.

Theoretically you could read this installment in Cristin Harber’s Only series as a stand alone, but oh my – DON’T! You need to read the first – Only Him - to feel the depths of the connection Emma and Grayson have. My only regret – is that Only Us is not up for pre-order!

I received this installment from the author for my honest review – and I have already pre-ordered a copy to arrive on my Kindle on release day!

Only For Her (Only Series Volume 2): By Cristin Harber

Only For Her is the second volume in what will become a four part saga. Only for Him, volume one, left me bleeding and crying and wishing for number two. Now, I've read number two and I'm not in much better shape than the first time around. Need the next book. NEED to see this happy ever after.
I love Emma and Grayson. I love their story and their emotions and all the chaos that surrounds them. I cannot wait for their HEA. They have been through so much already, in only the first two serials of the saga, that they deserve an EPIC HEA to go with their epic love story.
This really doesn't sound much like a review, more like a love fest. So, I will add (and try to without spoilers) some people may think that things are happening way to fast at first. Also, some may say that there was not enough emotion/screaming/crying/throwing things, for them to move forward. And to that I say, keep reading. Everything happens as it should and with good flow. You'll get your emotion.
And the ending. Hah, Cristin, girl you are trying to give us a heart attack or something. That ending will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat, cussing out your Kindle, and sending a certain author love-hate mail and riot threats.
Oh, and warnings. Warnings are simple, graphic language, deep emotions that may cause ugly girl tears, a smidgen of violence, and a little bit of graphic sex.
**Seriously wondering if Miss Harber has a copy of my diary lying around, or is physic. She knows exactly how to hit me in the feels. Everything about Emma and Gray rips at me, and reflects to much of my own secrets.

I may have stopped everything to read this because this novella series is explosively addicting. Remember when I told you after Only For Him that I found your next new serial novella addiction? Well, it was true then and it is true now.

I devoured this book like a starving puppy.

Grayson’s alive. We know that, but no one else does. We watch while Emma grieves the only man she’s ever loved and the father of her child while she simultaneously goes to school, takes care of their child and works THREE JOBS. Holy shit, Emma is superwoman. Not kidding. She’s working her ass off to make a better life for her daughter and I could not commend her more. When Grayson reappears in her life, things get complicated, but they’re also so simple. He loves her, she loves him. They can do this, right?

The years may not have been good to Grayson, but they’ve stripped him of all pretenses. He’s all honesty, all the time and I was eating it up. His determination to fix all that is wrong with him and Emma is adorable and incredibly endearing. I mean, the text he sent Emma SLAYED ME. I love them together even more than after reading Only for Him – *swoon*

This story is perfection. Cristin pulls you in, makes you love the characters as deeply as they love each other and leaves you off with a cliffhanger that makes you grasp the air for more. I love love love this story and Cristin’s writing. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. #MorePlease
