Justice Prevails (Sin City Uniforms #3)
Detective Beau Williams is hardworking, dedicated and professional. He enjoys the finer things in life, but with his heavy caseload that includes what Beau suspects is a new serial killer, he has no time to enjoy much of anything. What the tall redhead needs is someone to shake him up a little.

I am loving that bearded, ginger hottie on the cover, and I enjoyed the last two books in this series. But this story felt half-baked.
We met Beau in the second book when he encouraged Parker to take care of Lonnie. Even though this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standlone.
Beau is a homicide investigator, and he's paired up with Austin, who's also a cop, although it seems he mostly delivers evidence files.
This pairing didn't really work for me. Beau is looking for a r ...more
Beau wants someone in his life. He's looking for a mature and refined boyfriend (<- totally can't relate to this), but the more he hangs out with Austin, the more he thinks the snarky klutz is right for him.
So, I really wanted to really like both these guys. And I did, mostly...
The books started off pretty good, but after the half mark, it got weird. I no longer like Beau and Austin together...how is that possible??? Beau is a prick and the way he thought about Austin was shocking because I had no clue Beau was so uptight. All I could say was "HUH? WTF???"
And Austin was like an insecure teenager instead of a mature man. Top it up with a snort-worthy serial killer plot and you have a ridiculous book. Really, going after the serial killer alone???? Idiot cops is ...more
Austin is hilarious and adorable. I love how he trips and bumps into things all the time. In real life it would get exhausting to hear him denigrate himself constantly. Low self esteem isn't attractive.
It doesn't matter who shot first. If someone has a gun out and aimed at another person, including the po ...more
This is another book in the Sin City Uniforms series by Morticia Knight, one of my favourite authors, and things are getting hot and dangerous in Las Vegas (aka Sin city). I haven’t read any of the others in this series yet, but fully intend to after reading this one, so I can attest that it can be read as a standalone.
Detective Beau Williams is investigating the Conventioneer murders case, and after three bodies and several weeks of relativel ...more
Morticia Knight has taken us back to Las Vegas with her hot alpha males. This book had an excellent thriller story to it about a serial killer. Once I started I was hooked and didn't put it down until I was done. The story flowed very smoothly and even had a bit of humor added in.
Loved Beau he was confident, strong and a very good detective who was always in charge. Austin had very low self esteem, liked to crack jokes to make himself feel comfortable, but was a sweet loving guy. The tw ...more
This is the third book in Knight’s Sin City Uniform series and features the sexy ginger haired detective, Beau (who we met in the second book in the series) and an equally sexy but slightly awkward Investigative Technician Austin. Beau and Austin’s first meeting wasn’t remotely romantic and Austin didn’t exactly make the greatest first impression. Beau thinks that Austin is a certain way and not his type at all so he dismissed him as a romantic interest at first only…h ...more
Two MCs, Beau and Austin. Brent is a cop, sweet, strong, sexy but really really very nice. Austin is a CSI, very unsure of himself, funny and clumsy. Very clumsy. Worse than that ;) They don't usually work together. Austin has only once seen him at work and ...more

My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars
Austin hides behind a mask. He makes jokes, he is the life of the party and he is fun. What no one sees is the pain he bottles up and the helping hand he offers the less fortunate. No one gets to see his fascination with a certain Detective Beau Williams who works in the very place he delivers or picks up evidence for.

Austin and Beau are opposites. Where Beau is serious, Austin is always looking for the joke so he doesn’t have to express his feelings. However, I just was not feeling the relationship with these guys. While I can appreciate that self esteem has no age limit, thirty-five-year old Austin was fairly immature and read as much younger. When the guys hook up for the first time, Austin was surprised that Beau was interested and that’s the way the book read. There was litt ...more
i was so excited for beau's story and i think i'm a little disappointed. the murder mystery seemed like a subplot and didn't feel complete.
beau was surprisingly not as loveable in this book as the last one. he was kind of a jerk to austin at first...although he did redeem himself a little by helping austin when he was getting into a situation because he was drunk. beau was being a bit pretentious at first and completely discounted austin as a potential lover because ...more
One of my worries is that with how many books Ms. Knight puts out, that they will start to seem, a bit repetitive. Thankfully that isn’t the case at all. Especially with this book. The characters are both likeable, and easy to relate too.
Austin, I just couldn’t get enough of him persona ...more
This book was kind of slow for me in some aspects. However, what blew me away the most was how one minute Beau didn’t like Austin and wanted nothing to do with him and then BAM, he wanted Austin and wanted to give him a chance and have a relationship. Even Austin didn’t know what the heck to think. I never understood why Austin was so shy and timid at times and always down on himself, maybe it was explained at o ...more
The third in a a great series, this story did not disappoint. Each book concentrates on a different couple, and after the last one, it was no surprise that Beau was the lead character. How he meets Austin, and the thoughts that go through each of their heads, are a little different, and keep the story very fresh and entertaining. There is no danger of experiencing a repeat story-line here. No the plot is intriguing, the ...more
Four and a half stars!
Such a good story. I love this series so much. I enjoyed watching Austin and Beau learn how to be together. Beau had to learn to make his personal life a priority, even when he was working on a big case. Austin had to learn he was worthy of being with. I loved that they started slow and built their relationship as friends before getting physical. It progressed naturally. But once they did get physical, holy moly! Steamy, sexy, dirty awesomeness ...more
Justice Prevails is a good addition to the Sin City Uniforms Series. I had fun with this one. Austen cracked me up and he was the perfect match to the oh so serious Beau who really needed someone to loosen him up.
I was looking for something a bit darker, especially with the mystery/suspense element in the story but that took a back seat to the budding relationship between Beau and Austen. After putting myself into a different head space I did end up enjoying this story. Onto the next ...more
Another great addition to the series. Beau and Austin are sweet, romantic, funny and endearing. Beau is on the hunt for a serial killer. Austin works in the DA's office. Beau saves Austin from a situation in a bar on the night that Austin's best friend has been killed. They each feel something but Austin is so drunk that they don't act on it. They find themselves thrown together at work and Austin ends up helping Beau in more ways than one. Their romance and chemistry is Hot!
If you follow this blog at all, you probably know that Morticia Knight is hit and miss with me. Book one of her Sin City Uniforms series, I liked. Book two, not so much. Her Uniform encounters series, not so much at all… However, there is one thing her books are good for. They are a good diversion.
