Mark Playne is a British filmmaker, author and self-confessed reluctant investigative journalist. After graduating from Manchester film school, he turned down the safer route of TV scriptwriting and instead spent years travelling the world as a street-trading artisan, an experience that sharpened his instinct for reading people and situations long before it shaped his writing.
At first glance, Playne's output looks scattered across three unrelated shelves: true story, non-fiction and fiction.
His debut, 3 Seconds in Bogotá, is a true-life memoir of survival in Pablo Escobar's Colombia.
AI & I is a non-fiction, question-led investigation conducted in dialogue with artificial intelligence.
The MoMo series was written as a read-along, built to work as a bedtime story and stand alone as an adult novel, and has found its own following amongst readers well beyond the age it was intended for.
The apparent discord is the point. Each format is Playne testing the same instinct through a different lens: that intuition, properly followed, often reaches a truth before formal evidence catches up. A memoir of survival relies on gut judgement under pressure. An investigation built on questioning rather than declaring relies on following a hunch wherever it leads. A children's story relies on the intuitive logic a child trusts before they're taught to doubt it. Playne simply asks the same question in three different rooms: what do you actually know, and how do you know it?

Ai & i
As I wrote in my publication review of Mark Playne’s Ai & i, the book is quite captivating and almost impossible to put down once you have started reading it.
When AI says "sorry," I’m not particularly impressed. However, when AI utilizes the information provided by the questioner to answer truthfully and presents scientific arguments—regardless of whether they align with mainstream viewpoints—I feel satisfied. In my many years advocating for healthy, unvaccinated children, I have noticed that no health professional has ever made such admissions. They tend to provide endless explanations, even for the most blatant lies.
The reality is that we have been misled to a degree that surpasses even the best critic and it seems to continue.
Health professionals are not capable of seeing and applying scientific considerations and the scientific principle that it is impossible to talk about the effectiveness and harm of any product without having a clean control group to compare it with. I am pleased when a search engine makes it fair and trustworthy to search the knowledge database. Likewise, Ai & i’s author Mark Playne is able, with his enormous knowledge and intelligence, to put Ai in its place when Ai either lacks the information or perhaps even tries to mislead the questioner.
Therefore, AI is a dangerous tool in the wrong hands and of course with a pre-programming to misinform, but when it is as good as eliminated via intelligent questioning techniques and knowledge so the answers to the truth are found easily and elegantly – and they are delivered in a language almost everyone can understand.
Therefore, the book Ai & i by Mark Playne is a masterpiece worth reading if only because true information makes the difference. – Cliff Hjulskov

A Triumph
This book is a triumph …investigative journalism at its ‘critical thinking' best. Comprehensively researched and meticulously curated, the fascinating revelations and conclusions are profound, shocking and hugely troubling. Scientific and biological principles are plainly explained and put into a context of theoretical and study based evidence to make compelling arguments revealing how the worldwide co-ordinated Covid-19 plandemic was/is the most sinister and corrupt criminal conspiracy against humanity in all of history. Consequently it raises serious fundamental questions as to how the human race will fare in a world dominated by global corporate dark forces intent on subverting autonomy and devoid of ethics or moral conscience.
A must read for everyone …then draw your own conclusions.

Mark Playne’s AI & I: Cracking The Covid Code is a fascinating and thought-provoking investigation. I was impressed by the way it combines AI with forensic research to examine difficult questions surrounding COVID-19.
The book is bold, engaging, and encourages readers to question assumptions and look more closely at the evidence. It’s an eye-opening read that stays with you and gives you plenty to think about.
For anyone interested in AI, COVID-19, research, and critical thinking this is the best so far.

It was very good. It showed that AI is not infallible, which leaves me slightly scared about its use in warfare and other important human interaction. I would recommend this as a must read because of AI’s future role in all our lives.

Stunningly comprehensive, with statistics galore, for those who want a deep dive into the global event of C19. Was a difficult read after learning about how much we've been lied to about anything having to do with the crippling lockdowns, business shut downs, nature off limits and separation from others demanded of us. Put this book together with US Congressional testimony to date and you'll see a completely different picture than what the official narrative would have you believe. Although some of the information in the book is heartbreaking for me, I couldn't put it down. Thank you, Mark Playne, for doing this very heart wrenching expose on government sponsored lies.
