Charles Paul Conn acquired his undergraduate degree in religion from Lee University (then Lee College). He received an M.A. and a Ph.D. in psychology from Emory University and subsequently went on to spend three years at Harvard University as a postdoctoral Visiting Scholar. Conn served on the Lee College psychology faculty for 15 or so years before becoming the president of Lee University in 1986. In addition to his work at Lee University, Conn also has a second career as a free-lance writer. He has authored or co-authored 20 popular books and his magazine articles have appeared in numerous national publications as varied as Saturday Evening Post, Eternity, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology. An interview with Johnny Cash, written for a Tennessee newspaper in 1972, was named by the Associated Press as the Best News Feature of the Year.
these amway freaks make scientologists look reasonable and well adjusted- between these guys and the moonies i don't know how anyone can take a republican seriously.
Interesting to read about the story of Amway. There are some facts that I did not know, though those facts and stories leads to the philosophy of the company they created. Though, I wanted a bit more of those stories from founders themselves. There were a lot of different distributors stories, that explains a lot about the flexibility of the opportunity.
Simple and easy to read. Demonstrates that if anything, all dreams are possible. And back in the mid-1900s this is how Amway got started. Which is now an 11 billion dollar annual business fyi.
Interesting history of the company, but it didn't make me feel anything. I'd say that it fell rather flat for me, but that's not exactly true as I didn't have much expectations going into it.
its a good book to know how Amway grew as a company. What we see now is the result of something which was done 53 years ago and this book printed 33 years ago describes it well.
