Easy Pickings by Jason Parent is a fun and quick listen. It's just under a hour. The story is about 2 bullies that find out there is even bigger monsters than them out on Halloween. This is just the thing to get you in the Halloween spirit. It's read by Commodore James. He does a great job bringing this story to life.

I requested this audio book in exchange for a honest review.

Easy Pickings is a squeamishly delightful short story about what happens when the big, bad bully comes across someone bigger and badder. Needless to say, meanie Trevor gets his comeuppance.

Good short halloween scary story by Jason Parent.
I love the way Parent illustrates a story with his words.
I would have liked it to be longer.

This was a pretty good short story. I listened to it on audiobook while on a bike ride. I didn't really like the way the bully and his internal thoughts were presented, but it didn't detract from the tale overall. The ending was a bit confusing for me, I thought there could have been more in the way of explanation. Specifically Jack and his desire to have his turn... trying for no spoilers. Still liked it. ...more

In his head, Jason Parent lives in many places, but in the real world, he calls New England his home. The region offers an abundance of settings for his writing and many wonderful places in which to write them. He currently resides in Southeastern Massachusetts with his cuddly corgi named Calypso.

In a prior life, Jason spent most of his time in front of a judge . . . as a civil litigator. When he
