A meteor attack has changed the world as we know it. Most of the people that survived now have special powers. However, as with all people, some are good and some are evil. I enjoyed the book but the only thing I wasn't crazy about was the BDSM in the book. It's not my thing but I can say I still enjoyed it.

lol the ending made me say "dun dun DUN!!!!" I could just see in my head the shock and disbelief..... but I digress.
This is another wonderful creation by Cree Storm. MYSTIC is still trying to figure out what the meteor has done to the men of Earth. Who has gained what powers? With one madman down, others take his place. Bram finds his mate in Matty. Matty has a special gift that everyone knows he has to keep hidden. Bram will protect Matty even from himself.
New characters are introduced. Dr. Trent, Stalin and James. Who are they? You need to read this book and find out.

I don't have a problem with BDSM per se but.....Bram is just an asshole. I didn't find him to be a good Dom. Kept not explaining or making his intentions clear enough for Matty to not feel rejected.
AND..mr seer in book one said Ryker and Quinn would basically lead the way.. but it looks like Matty is pregnant before Quinn...Unless Quinn is just not having 'symptoms' yet.
So I have not looked at the blurbs on the other books yet but who we got? Quade and Max, Trent and Kalib, AND total guessing Zion and Carl. That leaves Gene, Gary and....Kirk? not sure if Kirk is going to end up being in the 'circle' or not...

Matty grows up with a Nefariouses as a father and had a hellish childhood. After hearing the things he father told him over and over his self-image is not the best and he can easily doubt himself. Bram has an uphill battle to make Matty see that he deserves to be happy and loved in their mating. However, Bram has his own issues to make himself the perfect mate for Matty.
Bram has been the leader of MYSTIC since the beginning, and he is also a Dom. He needs to balance his need to control everything and the needs Matty has. Things are far from perfect. Bram has a temper and his needs to watch how he reacts since little things can send Matty spinning into despair fast. Both Matty and Bram have to work at making it work for the both of them.
Except for some minor editing issues this was well written and paced. There was plenty and hot and interesting sex scenes that were balanced out with drama and action. I also really love the uniqueness of this series. The ending gave me a whole “damn” moment.
So I really look forward to learning more about that issue in further books plus the other things that were revealed.

Looking for a grown and sexy version of those superheroes you knew and loved as a kid? Then Cree Storm’s MYSTIC series has what you are looking for. In The Stolen Mate, Matty is unsure what he can offer to the Director of MYSTIC. His father was a madman and now his crazy followers want Matty. Bram sees in Matty a submissive in need of a dominant and he is sure that he fits the bill. However in trying to give Matty time, he opens a chasm that may be too big to bridge. While the first story in this series focused more on the powers of the characters, this one is more emotional. Bram is use to controlling not only his life but those of the men who work with and for him. And in spite of the fact that a D’s relationship requires communication, Bram needs a refresher. He has forgotten the importance of listening. Can he convince Matty of his importance or has arbitrary decisions cost him the mate of his heart? Ms. Storm does a wonderful job of articulating the journey Bram and Matty must take in order to have a future together. It isn’t pretty and it isn’t easy but Ms. Storm made sure taking the journey was well worth it.

Bram the director of Mystic and now had also found his mate in Matt. They rescue Matt from his evil father and with all that he went through with his father his self esteem issues that stem from his evil father. Matt can not see himself with Bram with all his issues. Bram finally accepts and mates Matt. He just can't keep Matt safe and you use his Dom way for punishment. The ending has a very nice twist and can't wait to see what happens next. What will Trent and Kalib do now? This is a great 2nd book in the series. Would recommend read in order to understand all the relationship

I couldn't get enough. Ryker's Aquamate introduced the team of MYSTIC, but the Stolen Mate is even more indepth..Loved the interplay between Mates and Friends as it makes you feel invested in who and what they are..... The adventure and even the sci-fi aspect kept me on the edge of my seat so much so that I couldn't put the book down.
Sadly, as all good things you reach 'The End' and leaves you wanting the next book Now. I can't wait to see who's story is next and what adventure they go on.......Even more so, I can't wait to discover more about the whats and whys of this new world......
