Margot Duke can’t keep her long-distance relationship alive any more than she can the cells that are supposed to be taking center stage in her PhD thesis. Both seem to be suffering an inexplicably long and drawn-out death, and she’s spent more than enough time fretting about it, without any solution in sight.

It figures that the one day she chooses to pack it all in and sto

Attraction is all about CHEMISTRY!!! So once attraction is already established what comes next, well we form bonds, of course. Well in this case, we are reunited with our sexy geeky scientists of Bonn and their crazy love life. So are we ready to dissect, examine, and analyze their life? The test subject of this installment is none other than Margot Duke.

My sexy science team is back!! I was beyond excited to get a chance to review for Verity Jacobs again and this book lived up to all my expectations!

We have Margot Duke, a fun scientist working on cell biology in Bonn and living in a long distance relationship. Margot is my favorite character mainly because I think she has a lot of spunk, a sarcastic sense of humor and a good head on her shoulders. When Margot realizes that her LDR is over and all that is left to break it off for good, she goes t

One of my favourite things to read about is a sub genre I like to call Geek Chic Lit , which is contemporary romance novels set within an Academic setting or the main characters are in a geeky job. In The Music of Temptation by Verity Jacobs, we meet Margot Duke who is living in Germany at the moment while she works on her PHD in Biology doing research on a daily basis in cells and stem research. For Margot, she has finally reached the point in her life where she believes she can no longer conti ...more

The Music of Temptation is another wickedly fun book by Verity Jacobs! She continues to delight with her signature brainy heroines and super swoony heroes. I have to admit that Jonathan is my favourite so far. He is the most perfect combination of sultry and sweet. After all, wouldn’t you want a seriously sexy rock star to write songs about you?

I’m thinking of packing up and hitting the road with the band…

Verity Jacobs is a new to me author, and I had not read the first book in this series (The Science of Attraction) but that did not affect my reading of The Music of Temptation

I am a sucker for a rock star book, and I love a good opposites attract story.

And Jonathon and Margot cannot get any more opposite than a rock star and a scientist! Yet from the minute they meet, they just feel so right together.

I adore Margot. Just out of a long term relat

We always wonder if it really works when you have two people with different backgrounds and life styles. In The Music of Temptation we will meet Margo Duke a PhD student dedicated to her work in science, and Jonathan the front lead singer of this new band Paperclouds, a band that will hit the mother load and find themselves on the way to stardom.

Margo had been living for the past two years in Cologne, Bonn Germany. She had a long distance relationship with her long time

The Music of Temptation is a novel all about an age old question, do opposites attract? Margot Duke is involved in a long distance relationship that has long since passed its expiration date. She is involved in an intensive Phd program that she moved from Canada to Germany to participate in. She thinks her life is on track, she has it all planned out...doesn't she? Her friend Stella had gotten her hooked on a new indie rock group, Paperclouds while visiting from Canada. When Margot realizes they ...more

The Music of Temptation by Verity Jacobs is the second book in her Expats series. This book focuses on the story of Margot, Margot's long distance relationship, and a new indie rock-star that simultaneously sweeps her off her feet and knocks her on her @ss. Who would've thought I'd ever find a laboratory this interesting? Not my high school physics teacher, that's for sure! (Ha, never took physics in HS)

So Margot Duke has FINALLY come to the realization that her long distance relationship is ver

Once again Ms. Jacobs shows how sexy and hot science can be while mixing in a lotta love and little drama. Can you say every girls dream come true all wrapped up in the pages of this book. Girl goes out for a night of fun, meets hot guy, turns out hot guy is a front man for a rock band, hot-guy-rock band- front man kisses you stupid and leaves town. There isn't really much you can say without spoiling this book because it's just that cute. I love Margot's dilemma, after getting out of a long dis ...more

A truly immersive contemporary romance.

Margot and Jonathan's story is fresh, hot, and well-crafted.

More thoughts to come, but for now, let's just say that Verity Jacobs may be the next big thing.

One click this. You won't be sorry.

I received an ARC copy. It didn't impact my view. I purchased Ms. Jacob's first novel and it was worth every penny. If you haven't read it, you should. The Science of Attraction by Verity Jacobs

Its official: nerds are sexy and so much fun!

Margot Duke has been stuck in a long-distance relationship that is on life support, but has failed to pull the plug on it. Until a trip to watch a rock concert, where she meets the front man for the group, Jonathan. The instant explosive chemistry between them is what she has been missing in her other relationship and gives her the push needed to finally end things. Just coming out of a long-distance relationship, Margot is not willing to commit to an

The Music of Temptation by Verity Jacobs can be read alone but I would recommend reading The Science of Attraction. Music of Temptation picks up a little time after the other book ended. This book is the story of Margot who is a student working towards her Phd at the Bonn Institute in Germany. For several years she has been having a long distance relationship with Eric who she left back in her native country of Canada. The relationship has slowly been dying and is finally coming to an end. This is the hardest review ever to write. Why? Because Blyssfully Undone is hands down the most amazing conclusion to a story EVER! Ya. I said it. I mean every word. I can't summarize the book, I can't even tell you a thing, because J.C. Cliff has cashed in every check in the Blyss game for this conclusion and HOLY F@#KING $HIT BALLS is it not amazing. So simply put... stop whatever you're doing right now, one-click all 3 of these books, and forget about anyth

Probably closer to 2.5 stars

I enjoyed the setup - rock star with a geek girl scientist but this was basically a book of them going at it like bunnies. But I know a lot of people love that so if you're into lots of hot sex with a fun geek vibe this is your book. It just didn't quite work for me.

The whole gang from the first book is still around and it was nice to see them all again.
