Cravotta Crime Family #1

Married to the Bad Boy

Rate this book
No one in their right mind marries a bad boy...

I’m a player. A man-whore. Whatever the hell you want to call it, I get around. During the day, I crack heads and extort businesses. At night, I find girls to f*ck. I live to hear them moan for me, but one night is all they get. No one ever made me want more. Until her.
Elena.
The moment her lips wrapped around me, I was done. All day, I think about running my tongue all over those curves.
Too bad those curves are off limits. She's running from a man who will kill me for touching her.
Well, she's tired of running and needs my help.
She thinks I'm doing it for money.
I'm doing it to make her mine.

I need to stress one thing here. There is a lot of sex in this book, well at least according to my standards.

1. Sex in limos
2. Sex in bars.
3. Sex in public

So you get the gist of it, right? The characters in this book are fond of shagging each other.

Tony is a made man, he lives and breathes mafia. But he's a bit of a man-whore, well not a bit. He actually sleeps with a different woman every night. No repeats. He never double-dips his dick.

Pussy and the mob are pretty much my life.
My nights are pretty much the same.
It starts with a look.
One glance across the bar. A giggle, a smile, a shadow of a wink.
I'm into you.
Really what they're saying is: Let's fuck.
It's a language I've got down to a science over the years.

He doesn't believe in getting to know the girl he wants to bed, all sexual encounters are a one time only deal. His response to courtship?

"What's the point?"
"Oh I don't know. Friendship? Love?
He smiles at me. I don't know if I care about any of that."
Wow.
"What do you care about?"
He grins like a devil. "Pussy. Money. Those are my two loves."

And then there's Elena A mafia princess, fallen from her throne. She got caught up in a relationship with an abusive boyfriend but when she tried to leave he threatened to kill her. Not cool, especially since he's made. So what does she do? She enlists the help of none other than Tony. If she's married to a made man her ex can't touch her.

Okay let's get down to the nitty gritty here because some of the stuff this girl did was idiotic. I mean she repeatedly did stupid stuff.

Let's get back to why, I kept overlooking Elena's antics.

Honestly there's nothing better than starting off the day with a blowjob.
Wet, full lips wrapped around the most sensitive part of your cock, tongue riding up and down your shaft, swirling around your head.
Everything fades away. Fucking world peace could be accomplished if everyone got enough head.

There's a little danger, some mystery. But quite honestly plot-wise it's a three for me. Pacing was a problem. Some of the dialogue was also a bit disjointed for me. But five star sex!

If you're looking for something light, but like the mafia trope, you've got it here. Tony is the creme de la creme of man whores. He's arrogant. He's a dick. So obviously I loved him.

PRE-REVIEW

Okay lets be honest here, I had a few issues with this story but at the end of the day my ovaries won. So yeah the sex was out of this world. And I'm a sucker for a good dirty talker. Again my ovaries had the upper hand here.

2.5 ? Too Much Bad Boy Stars

Probably a case of its me not you. I just didn't connect with this book from the get go and I couldn't get it going...I thing the big bad muscle, Tony, getting it on with a skanky blonde then walking to the bar and getting horny over a mysterious bruised up chick had me saying WHAT?!

SEX...lots of sex here in this book. Sex for pleasure. Sex for hiding out. Sex rough and dirty. Sex in the middle of a club. Just Sex everywhere...even when lives are on the line...even when it was just had minutes ago...with someone else! Well, the book blurb did say that Tony was a man whore sooooo....he lives up to that title.

I kinda skimmed through to get the gist of the tale and to see where the story went. I am just gonna say it was ok, and I am moving on. Many will like this book...it just didn't work so well for me.

I was torn between giving this story 3 stars or 4 stars. I went with the later because I truly enjoyed this book and I liked the fact that it was a true mafia novel...filled with blackmail, murder and made men.

description

Elena is an ex. mafia princess that is running from her abusive ex-boyfriend. She flees NYC and goes to Montreal trying to find an old family friend that she hopes will help her.

Tony is a man-whore...the "get your dick wet only once with a women" kind of man-whore but after getting a taste of Elena he can't seem to stop at only one time.

description

Desperate because no one wants to help her get rid of her ex Elena propositions Tony to marry her in exchange for money...that being the only thing that could stop her ex from getting her again. But Tony refuses...

description

After she managed to convince him they come up with the plan to tell everybody she's pregnant and that's why their getting married. Things don't turn out how they expected when her ex actually shows up threating Elena and clamming that the baby is his...little do they know that...

description

I liked the fact that this book was field with just the right amount of adventure, with unexpected turn of events and a powerful main female character.

What I didn't like was the fact that Tony seems a little off sometimes (even crazy) but maybe that only added to his mafia man character, there where also moments that Elena got on my nerves with her behavior and how needy she seemed sometimes AND (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) there was to much sex in this book.

description

I know right? How can there be to much sex? But there was and not just mentioned but described...and even if I'm a smut slut this was a little to much even for me.

description

If the author would have tone it down just a little it would have been perfect.

That being said if you're a smut loving babe with the hots for a sexy mafia men then this is the book for you.

I couldn't decide on how to rate this. I liked the story, when there was one however, Tony just pisses me off.

If you want to read a great mafia story, with more story line than sex, look else where. If you want more sex than story then pick up this book.

I saw that there was a lot of sex in another review, and I had high hopes it wasn't an overwhelming factor, too bad it was. I really loved the premise of this story and I wish the sex was toned down. I really hated how Tony felt he could have sex with her where ever he wanted so he could "show her off", so everyone knew she was his. At one point, when he wants to try new sex ideas, it made me feel like he was acting like Christian Grey, to some extent. I had to skim or skip all the sex parts after while as they were just too much. Too much of a good thing is never good!!

Tony pissed me off most of the book and I didn't care for him. He was hot headed and at times he said things in his head and then contradicted himself. He basically uses Elena as his sex toy the whole book until he discovers his feelings for her. Was he on Viagra the whole book??

Elena pissed me off a lot too. Tony is her second guy ever in the sex department and she basically turns herself into one of Tony's bimbos to get him and keep him. I hated it.

I felt like Tony's mob "family" were Aholes who didn't care about him... Same with Elena's mob "family". They also let the jackass ex-boyfriend go for way too long as well. Who cares if he was a made man! Tony should have nipped it sooner. And Elena made a lot of stupid choices to move the story along which pissed me off.

Tommy=weasel. I liked him until I didn't bc he pissed me off in the end too.

Let me start of with I am not sure why this book is called "Married to the Bad Boy" there was nothing bad about Tony, nada! Yes, he is in the mafia, he is arrogant, he is a womanizer, he is a whore, he is an asshole, a pig, but not a bad boy. It should have been Married to Mafia's man whore, not only does Tony our hero only do the same girl once never twice, he thinks wearing the same undies two nights in the row is sexy and promises to eat you out! That was a barf right there!
Our Mafia princess is running from her abusive mafia "wise" made guy boyfriend to Montreal to hire a hit man. The thing is, her daddy was a snitch who was killed by his friends, why would you reach out to those so called friends to have your boyfriend killed? Would it not have been easier to hire someone in NY? Maybe some sort of gang member? a homeless person? It seemed like our heroine wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, believe me I've seen and read about some dull crayons!

So, if you like the asshole type hero, who thinks his shit doesn't smell and he can have any girl he wants, tells you he will marry you where you have to be faithful but he will fuck what he wants when he wants wherever he wants and you can't do a damn thing about it, go for it ladies!

Smut, smutty smut... the majority of the book is about Elena and Tony hitting it of. Their story was steamy with a little bit of violence and some unexpected twists. The ending was meh for me, I don't know, I expected something different. Still, it was enjoyable to read.

Tony and Elena. DNF at 5%
I was expecting a steamy story, but really it was just tacky porn with no emotion. ick. I bought this one by mistake when it came up on my kindle with a bunch of Jordan Silver books.
To be fair, I don't find the whole mafia trope that's in fashion lately sexy at all. Also it's a pet peeve of mine when the author explicitly describes the male protagonist getting it on with someone other than the heroine. I find it hard to peel that crap off my corneas.
If there's one hot Mafia guy, it's Viggio Mortensen's character in 'Eastern Promises'...

-sigh-.

but Tony... Tony is just a plain old sleaze bag.

I read this entire book and I can say for certain that this was an awful book. The h is brutally beaten by her boyfriend all the time and goes to several people in the mafia, including bosses for help. She is told by everyone that they cannot help her bc her boyfriend is also part of the mafia and they don't hurt their own. It is so tragic. The h is very desperate and is being kicked out by all these people who see her bruises and refuse to help. She doesn't want to go home bc she knows the boyfriend will attack her again so she finds a guy at the bar. She hopes if she sleeps with someone she can spend a night away from her apartment. She aggressively touches the guys private area when he keeps refusing her advances. The H is shocked that someone would be so forward in a crowded place. He takes her home for sex and she has sex with him like a high class call girl. It was really pathetic. She later offers the H money to marry her so she will be protected. By the way, she had asked the H to protect her from her ex and he also turned her down, numerous times. The h continues to do one stupid thing after another. There is a lot of sex which sometimes felt like it was randomly inserted in the story. Even when the H and h are together, horrible things continue to happen to the h. The H even lets her go to her apartment alone and doesn't offer to come with her, even though he knows the ex is looking to kill her.

This was a good read that I enjoyed. Tony Vidal is a manwhore and very proud of it. His arrogant and charming. Elena Vittorio is a former Mafia Princess now fallen from grace since her Mob Boss father turned traitor and was killed. Elena wants nothing more than to see her abusive controlling ex Rafael die. It's only a matter of time before he kills her he has beaten her within an inch of her life and she desperately seeks the help of the family but she no longer exists to them and is shunned so she runs. When she is turned down she turns to Tony who is smoking hot. Tony joins the mob to revenge the killing of his dad and finds the perks of money and women. He never sleeps with a woman more than once but he feels a pull towards Elena that he doesn't understand. When she propositions him a business deal they end up in bed and married. Elena realizes Rafael won't leave her alone. This was a pretty good read. I have read this author before and I always enjoy her books. This was book one in this series and while this had a few errors in it I am looking forward to reading the next book.

I’m not sure that this is necessarily a four star read; it’s far from the best mob book I’ve ever read, but it feels a little bit mean giving it just three stars.

I started reading this last year and it didn’t hold my interest, but for some reason I decided to give it another go; I’m glad I did.

This is a bit of a predictable mob read. There’s some ‘plot twists’ that I knew were coming, but I really did like Elenor and Tony.

The book is fast paced and their relationship does develop quite quickly, but I liked them both enough.

The second half of this book redeemed itself from the above points for me - there was some substance to the storyline and I believed that Tony and Elenor truly loved each other.

I think Tony made the book for me in all honesty.

3.5 Everyone meets their match stars!!

It was a rough start but I'm so happy I stuck with it.. really got into the story after 30%
I enjoyed how we got the dual POV, the steam factor was super high and we got to see these two let down their gaurds and fall for each other..
Tony and Elena were perfect for each other and it was a fun twist to the marriage of convenience theme..

I have mixed feelings about this book. I think I just wanted to like it but I couldn't. There were too many things in the background that I didn't enjoy.

First, this whole mob thing. I'm usually a fan of all con men and women but this organised crime idea, it was probably too much for me. Or maybe it's just the idea that a woman belongs to her mob as all his other personal belongings.

At first, I liked Tony attitude towards Elena. He seemed to be caring. And then it's all changed into 'your are my property' and 'your body belongs to me' stuff and I really hated that idea. He started to humiliate Elena in public places. Okay, this was probably the bdsm part but, really, I found not a bit of affection in it. So it seemed just rude to me, Tony was acting like a prick. To me he was using the fact that she is desperate to own her and give her commands. I think that Elena running from one asshole bumped up with just another one. I felt pity for her and there is no point in reading a romance if you feel pity for heroine that she stuck up with a hero.

I have finally manage to finish it. Which is incredible regarding the dumbness of the ending. I am definitely not going to read any books in this series.

No. Just no.

Did this author do ANY research into the Mafia before attempting to write this book? When I read the blurb it sounded good. That's where it ended though. Although fictional, Elena's ex is by far the DUMBEST wise guy ever. He couldn't plan a dinner party let alone orchestrate the crap he tried to in the story. And Tony. All he wanted to do was bang Elena. That was the majority of their time together. When they "fell in love" was never clear since all they shared was sex. Oh, and a trip to the graveyard to visit his father's grave. The only confectionery seemed to have was when his penis was in her vagina. BORING!

3.5 stars, good but the ending is kind of disappointing.

This book, personally to me, is a bit predictable. There are few plot twists, yes, but basically the plot is classic. I don't really like the ending, it's forced and I wish the author didn't really push the scene like that. Because without it, or at least, if the author put the scene not in the end, I'd love it more.

But overall, I enjoyed it. Look forward to read other books by this author! Give me more drama! :)

I’m not sure what I made of this book really.
On the one hand, it was well written with an interesting story that I read in two sittings.
On the other hand, I detested the ‘world’, disliked the characters and wouldn’t read another book in this series if you paid me.
Violence against women, treating women like objects, ‘ownership’ of a person, crime, murder and assholes. I guess in a tale about the mafia, you should expect this and I did… Just not to this extent.
I also didn’t expect to find the male lead – Tony – so repugnant, but I did. From the very first chapter, I found him to be disgusting and it didn’t change much. I hated how he spoke. I hated his attitude in general. I hated his attitude towards women. I hated his arrogance… Ugh. He doesn’t get better as the book goes on but at least Elena – our female lead – ends up content.
Speaking of Elena; she was a spineless mouse. I didn’t hate her, but I didn’t like her much either. I pitied her and disliked her choices but wished she could escape from all of it for no one deserves that.
As an erotic romance, there is a lot of sex in the book. Initially, the scenes were interesting and hot. After a while, they all blended into each other and I found myself skimming them. Sex cannot – should not - replace plot and unfortunately it felt like it did here. It felt like the only connection that Tony and Elena had that was real was the sex. Their I love yous felt false, fell flat and were just disappointing.
Despite my grumblings, I imagine that this book will appeal to readers who love OTT Alphas and drama. It just wasn’t for me.
Great Cover though! Yum!

Tony wasn't really a bad boy in my opinion. I mean sure, he was in the mafia so that entails a lot of morally ambiguous dealings but...he was in the mafia...it kind of comes with the territory.Tony was however, a slut. He was the sleep with a different girl every night and never see them again kind of slut. This changed over the course of the story and I found that I liked him despite some of his asshole-ish tendencies. Of course he was tall, tatted, and ripped which helped. Oh, and he had a filthy mouth which was a delightful bonus.
Elena was a mafia princess so she knew what Tony was about before shacking up with him. She was a strong character and I liked that about her. However, she did some very dumb things throughout the course of the book. Most of those dumb things kept the storyline moving so I could see the necessity for her stupidity.
There was definitely a few points in the story where I was thinking to myself "Gah! Tony and Elena just CANNOT catch a break!" because the shit just kept hitting the fan...repeatedly. Overall the story kept me pretty engaged, the sex was hot, Tony was hot, there was mafia drama, it was a nice fairly short read.
I would recommend this if you like the mafia thing, and are looking for a stand-alone that's not too long and has a fair amount of sexy times.

This is the first book I read by this author, but it won't be the last!! This book starts off with a "bang" and ends with one!! You just have to love a bad boy who only thinks about taking care of business in and out of the bed room. He makes no promises and doesn't care who he hurts. That is until he meets, Elena, she is doesn't put up with his lines and only wants one thing from him and it isn't sex!!! This two characters manage to bring out the best and worst in each other at times, but they will kill and die for each other. Elena at times drove me crazy with some of the decisions she made a lot of things could have been diverted if she just talked to Tony! Tony was your typical Alpha male who at times was " me Tarzan, you Jane, but Elena wouldn't put up with it. This was a great book and now I need to go read the Vittorio Crime Family books.

I received a copy of this book for a honest review..

I started this book opened minded. About 9% in, I thought to myself - this guy is a douche do I really want to keep reading. I really didn't think I could like Tony, he definitely wasn't my usual BBF. But you know what, I kept reading and then I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I HAD to know how this was going to end. I loved Elena, even though she did a couple of really stupid things. And believe it or not, Tony won me over. These two are constantly horny - I mean there is A LOT of sex in the book, but there is also a story too and it was the story that drew me in.

some very steamy 3.5 stars

i mean elena and tony's chemistry was totally off the charts especially in bed.........*wink*

the writing was funny and good ....kept me engrossed

other than that it was a sorta predictable mafia romance......girl father dies, abusive ex and in comes a reluctant mafia in a good suit to save the day,

description

girl gets pregnant , hides stuff form him, trust issues and ex issues until manwhore husband finally settles for the leading lady
description

one good thing was elena had some spirit i mean after some things that happened one would expect her to just settle but nope, she got guns baby!

description
and finally after a run in with the before mentioned ex in the climax boy saves girl and hea

Oh my stars, what a delicious mix of dark and sexy!

Tony is all that and a bag of chips, and once he sets his sights on Elena, he’s an unstoppable force. She’s no wilting flower, that’s for sure, and their passionate road to their HEA just about set my Kindle on fire! We’ve got the usual criminal politics inherent in mafia stories, but it felt authentic throughout – dark, gritty, raw, reminiscent of a good Scorsese movie.

The writing is instantly captivating, making the reader feel what the characters feel and ensuring this is a true non-stop read. It’s a standalone, but if you’re like me, you’re going to want to keep reading about these folks in the subsequent books in the series.

Bad Boy Mafia Romance

I just love a good Mafia story and Vanessa Waltz delivers when it comes to a good Mafia stories. This particular story has a somewhat disgraced Mafia Princess and made man who who is her ex-boyfriend and another made man who she gets involved with. There is a lot of action and danger and quite a few steamy scenes until finally there is a somewhat surprising HEA at the end. I really loved this book and I recommend it highly.
