Heya! I'm Joe Satoria, I write sweet and spicy MM romances.

I mostly write Daddies and D/s dynamics in my pairings... some soft and sweet, other dark and dangerous.

As a queer person using he/they pronouns, I am an own voices author, which means you're reading through the eyes of lived experience... only the gay relationships part, definitely not the dangerous Daddies... oops!

Rocco Bianchi, an underboss who treats danger like a game, crosses paths with Kalen O’Ryan, an FBI analyst who slips undercover into the Bianchi world while visiting Boston to care for his mum. Their flirtation turns into a charged push‑pull as Kalen gets drawn deeper into the fiercely loyal Bianchi family. He must decide whether to walk away or fall in line — especially as he rediscovers his little space and realises the man awakening it might be the Daddy he didn’t expect.

Their relationship definitely has an unconventional beginning, but the connection between Rocco and Kalen is hard to deny once it sparks. I liked the way they tried to navigate that pull while also protecting each other as their worlds collided. However, I did find parts of the story difficult to believe, and some of their interactions felt a bit manufactured rather than naturally developed. I also struggled with how Kalen’s mum was written — she seemed far more ill throughout the book than she appeared to be by the end, which made her storyline feel uneven. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Kal is an FBI agent home on leave to care for his sick mom. He decides to check out a local mobster, one of the Bianchi brothers, Rocco. Rocco realizes right away he's FBI, threatens him, confronts and confines him, tries to get him to quit the FBI and finally succumbs to Kal's wiles and beds him. Both fall for each other and want to be together. It's Mafia lite, totally fabricated versus realistic, but still a cute, Little story with earnestness and the nicest mob guys you'll ever read about. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.

Joe Satoria has done it again: a delightful short book to read in one sitting.
It is the second book of a great series, I am already looking forward to part three.

As always, both MCs are heartwarming. From the very first page, they make you fall in love with them, and despite their pasts, you wish them eternal love together.

💞Thank you to the Author for the opportunity to read and review this ARC💖

Rocco and Kalen story was quite entertaining with a bit of danger and adrenaline, a bit of sass and teasing, and happiness well deserved.
They had an interesting dynamic as they both were fighting their feelings as they felt bound by duty, but in the end their chemistry won alongside their true desires and embracing their true selves.

just not good

This feels like it was a story written on wattpad by like a 12 year old. I don’t know if the author (and I’m using that word loosely) has ever had a conversation with a real person but they certainly don’t know how to translate that on page. If this is a career, maybe look into doing something else. If it’s a hobby… keep it to yourself next time.

A sweet, entertaining story. Rocco and Kalen had a lovely chemistry with fun banter as Rocco tries to talk Kalen into leaving the FBI and coming to work for him. Low drama and angst.
