Rule one: No sex without a condom Rule two: No sleeping together Rule three: No kissing on the lips
They were the three simple rules that James lived by as an escort. He owned Pure Filth, the escort service that guaranteed men and women satisfaction. Then she made an appointment and everything changed.
Being a virgin at twenty-five was not Haley’s intention, but she didn’t trust men. Her drunken friend’s suggestion has Haley making an appointment.
One night with his rules broken, James can’t get enough. He offers Haley the chance to experience everything she has missed out on. All she has to do is give herself to him.
What starts out as an adventure soon has both of their hearts on the line. Can Haley get over his career? Can James give up the life that he has built up for the only woman he’s ever loved?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
3.5 stars I was interested because I dreamt once that I went with a friend to a place that looked like a mansion and was looking at a catalogue with the available men for you know what. Then a gorgeous guy entered the room and I picked him, but I didn't know he wasn't an escort but a friend of the place's owner (and I only knew that after the deed).
Anyways... About the book... Of course I new I was getting a Hero that had sex for a living but I thought I would be spared a scene of him during work. Instead I had to stand two scenes of him earning his money. I was really tempted to DNF this. The thing is he let me know a waste of space he was when the was a playboy heir and how he grew up and stood for himself so I got interested in him. Another point for him was that he stopped working after he deflowered the h. I loved how the h handled the encounter with one of his previous client. Then the business with the sex club... What the hell for? And the last couple of paragraphs with their HEA got me.

I've read 5 books by Ms. Crescent so far and none of them has earned more than 2 stars from me. After such ordeal, I think I can safely say that her books aren't for me. I've tried, but no can do. :(

The Good
James is an escort who has been in the business for ten years. This might sound off putting but it went well with James' character. He was mysterious, sexy and commanding. I still saw him as a business man of sorts with the use of a deadly weapon, his body. Haley was your typical shy, virginal, naive heroine. When James and Haley connected, it very much made my read very much enjoyable. Their chemistry was fitting and gave the reader something to look forward to. Even though Haley seem virginal and naive, it didn't hinder my read or enjoyment as the plot of the story unfolds. It was interesting to read how James balances his escort life while perusing Haley.
The Bad
This was a story I really enjoyed, but it was a quick read with a simplistic storyline, but with a creative concept. This to me is not bad nor good, but satisfactory. So if you are seeking an in-depth ongoing story this isn't it. If you are seeking quick likable enjoyment then this is for you.
Overall
A good read, likable characters and an escort service I personally wouldn't mind having a go at. I really did enjoy James and Haley, however, I do hope the author writes more on the other characters in the story. The other escorts have peeked my curiosity especially Eliza, as well as Haley's best friend. All these characters made the book interesting and I look forward to more of the author's work as I am always a fan.
This book was sugar. A naughty cynical male sex worker falls in love with a untrusting virginal cynic. I wish it had been dirtier! Still, I liked it a lot.
James is an escort, an incredibly popular one to the extend where he has no real life outside the job, he works for himself, Pure Filth is his company and if he's not working then he's working on his fitness. Haley is a twenty-five year old virgin, how? Well she doesn't trust men and she's very curvy so she keeps herself to herself plus she's been hurt in the past and she's happy, after all she's no idea what she's missing that is until her best friend Clara plans the idea of using an escort and once the idea's taken root Haley makes an appointment quickly before she can chicken out, and so she meets James. Now to survive in his business James has lived by a set of rules, three rules and he's never broken any of them not in 10 years yet in just one night with Haley all his rules are forgotten and for the first time ever its personal. Like all Sam's books I enjoyed this actually I enjoyed this more than most, I liked the characters and the story and it's a nice quick read.
First read for me by this author. I liked the sound of the storyline as I have read some other books with a similar theme. I know it was obvious James was going to break his rules with Haley but I found it a little unbelievable that on their first night together he broke the rule of no condom especially considering the circumstances and yet neither of them seemed overly concerned that Haley could be pregnant!
This is a short story and I would have preferred a longer storyline as parts of it seemed rushed but it was an OK read.
Pure Filth by Sam Crescent is really hot read with a great storyline and great characters that I found myself rooting for.
The main characters are Haley Ronald, a secretary who was disowned by her rich family, and James Smith, a professional male escort. James Smith has three rules he follows with each of his clients, however, he breaks all of them when he meets Haley.
I loved how their relationship grew, and how they got past her insecurities and his being an escort. I loved the end and how it talks about life afterwards. A great story that I will read again.
I liked it. There was Lots of very descriptive sex and a love story at the end. It's fast paced and there is an epilogue that tells you 30 years later where they are. There is descriptive sex with OW before he meets the h. Also he is an escort that has sex with both men and women. If you have issues with that you may be turned off but it's not that prominent in the story. I like this author so I will read more.
The author is a firm favourite of mine this may be an older book but it means a lot to me. See the heroine reminds me of myself so i found it so easy to connect with her i have the same worries and doubts. This book was brilliant.
Rating 4.5. The V-Card. That’s all I’m going to say. This was a refreshing read. Male Escort meets Virgin. Quirky, enjoyable and well worth the read. Do recommend.
liked this book, read it in the right mood. I didn't think I would like this book this much, I thought it would be an okay read, but it was really good. maybe some time later I'll definitely re read.
It's not in my habbit to give 5 stars to short, light, romace books ( even if I really love 'em I give 'em only 4 stars), but this I time I did, because Sam C never dissapoints me. I've read lots of books by her and I just loved them all. So I think it's very logical to give 5 stars to her books for once in a while, because she deserves it. I love it how in so little pages, Sam manages to give us really well developed plot and characters. You never feel that you need more backup story, or you don't feel that you landed right in the middle, also nothing feels rushed. Pure Filth it's another really good story. I loved the combination between a very, very experienced hero and a very, very unexperienced heroine. The hero is a male escort, he is hoooot and what I loved more about him is the fact that he was never a prick with the heroine, he just wanted to be with her from the beginning. When he realised he loved her, he wasn't that shocked or scared, he was happy about it. Yep, this hero is nothing but a dream of man. The heroine is another great one. Even if she was a v she wasn't stupid, innocent and naive about it. She is normal and you can't help but love her. I realoy loved the absence of drama in this book, yes I like a little bit of drama, but sometimes I'm so tired of real life drama and I just want a drama free book. In this one there weren't huge misunderstandings, uncalled for jealousy etc. So yes I admit it, I am a sucker for male escort heroes and I am cheerimg like a little girl when they find the right woman. Read this!!! Pure Filth is a short, light, beautiful story and you won't regret it.
Pure Filth is a book with sinful hot sex .But that is not the heart of the story. James Smith is totally gorgeous man. He went through his inheritance like it was water. Being the spoiled bad boy he was. Being bankrupt he had to find a way to support himself. By chance he heard of a profession he had the skills for, an escort. Haley Ronald a sweet, beautiful woman and a lot innocent. She had left her rich family because she refused a marriage for money. She did get an inheritance from her grandfather but refused to live beyond her means. She was independent and loved to work. She was hurt by a boyfriend and shied away from men. The reason why she was still a virgin. At the advice of a friend she hires an escort to get rid of her v card. This is when James and Haley meet. Chemistry pulls them together but with walls up around both their hearts who knows what can happen. Pure Filth is an amazing read. I couldn't put it down. Sam Crescent ,great job and thank you for your hard work as always.
This was another amazing story by Sam. You gonna be drawn in the story and don't notice when you will end reading the last page.
I loved both characters. But James...Damn. He was incredible. Yes, he was an escort for some 10 years. All those women. My imagination is runing wild. And this could be a problem for most people in relationship and in friendship. But, his 'job' isn't important. When he meet Haley, he broke all his rules. All he cared about and needed was Haley. The lucky girl!
And Haley. You will say what she did at the beginning, was stupid. But what I think is, that if another man was in James place, Haley wouldn"t have gone through with it. She did it, because it was James. From the first, they both knew, what they gonna mean for each other.
There is some second characters, I got curious about. Hoping to read how one got HEA, and another one, which so much deserve have it, will get it.
4.8 stars I loved this book. Short, sharp and oh so sweet. It is so sexy and well written that I didn't mind it being short. Sam Crecent has a way of writing that draws you in immediately and take you on a journey. The characters make you sit up and notice them. Haley is a 25 year old virgin. Her family tried to force her into a marriage at a young age and she has trust issues with men. What better way to loose her virginity than to hire an expert. James is the owner of Pure Filth, an escort agency with no limits. He has set himself 3 rules to keep every encounter, with every woman, at a professional level. Then he gets a booking from Haley, and those 3 rules just might fly out the window.
This was a good story, not great. Likable characters, predictable story line, and a nice and tidy HEA. I really did like James and Haley together, however, I needed more intensity and meat to it to get a better rating. I do hope the author writes more on the other characters in the story. Cara and Eliza have especially peeked my curiosity.
I have a love/hate relationship with Sam Crescent's work. The idea behind the stories always sound so perfect, right up my alley, a kindred of mine own soul....but the execution is lacking. I have no doubt I will continue reading though.
had no doubt when I started reading this book with a male escort and a twenty five year old virgin that Sam Crescent would make it entertaining and hot. I was not disappointment. Haley is a sweet, shy and insecure woman who happens to still be a virgin. James is a male escort and has three rules he lives by. After meeting Haley though he ends up breaking all three. Lovable characters with passionate chemistry. Enjoyable read.
Haley was so sweet and self conscious and adorable. I loved her! I always wanted to hug her and push her into James' arms. James is well endowed, gorgeous, a gentleman...kind of. He knew how to drive a woman insane with pleasure and once he met Haley he found his perfect soul mate. I'm trying not to babble about how good this book was but damn it, I loved Pure Filth.
I had a lot of reservations about starting this book cause I mean how romantic can a book be when featuring a male escort for the main male character....Surprisingly I liked it! Some parts were hard to swallow (hehehe no pun intended!) like the scenes with ow but I have to say Haley had a lot of inner strength to be able to take him on with his past. I liked that for James it was instant and he knew Haley was different and he changed immediately.
I love a curvy heroine who is real and relatable. And open minded. I hate reading a story where the characters are close minded and against everything. In this book, Haley, has to be one of my most favorite characters. She has that spark where you just want to know everything. I really hope that we get to read more about the company Pure Filth!
Wow... it was beyond my expectations... I didn't think I would enjoy reading this one aaand apparently I did enjoy reading it from the beginning till the end of the story. But, sorry to say, the conflit was somewhat flat for the themes like this. But overall, I liked the storyline and the plot. That's sweet, romantic (absolutely) aand HEA!
I was pleasantly surprised by this book - I thought it was a pretty good read. Sam Crescent gets right to the point in her books - they are not long reads so you know going to read a Sam Crescent's book is that there is no long drawn out drama which sometimes I don't mind but at other times I want a little more substance so it depends what you are looking for at that moment.
It was alright. There was nothing shocking or any kind of twist what so ever. Two obvious characters 'the virgin and the escort' came to the obvious conclusion.even the miner problems was solved quickly and dismissively. example; James' disagreement with Clara ended in a "whatever it's none of your business anyways"
Tja... kort verhaal en misschien dat het daarom afgeraffeld voelde? Had wat mij betreft echt een goed verhaal kunnen worden als er wat meer tijd en aandacht aan de details was besteed? Ging nu allemaal veel te snel. Jammer!! Bijna 4****, maar toch afgerond naar 3.
James was attracted to Haley after seeing her picture and threw all of his rules out of the window. James had to woo Haley and make her realize that he changed and wanted to make things work between them. This was a fast moving book and it was really good!
