THE SERIES WITH OVER A MILLION COPIES SOLD Volume 18 in the New York Times Bestselling Arrangement Serials
Sean is the last person I expected to pull open the door to the Ferro mansion, and yet here he is. My plan turns to dust and blows away. After everything I went through, I'm back at the beginning, falling at the feet of the only man that can save me.
Genre: New Adult Romance This story unfolds over multiple volumes approx. 125 pages each. ~The Arrangement Vol 1-18 are on sale now.~
H.M. Ward continues to reign as a NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author who surpassed more than 23 million books sold, placing her among the literary titans. Ward has been featured in articles in the NEW YORK TIMES, FORBES, and USA TODAY to name a few.
This was an okay instalment in the series, this one was more about the sex again rather than all the other stuff, although there was an interesting revelation towards the end. We were once again left with a cliff-hanger though.
I can’t quite remember what installment of the Arrangement I decided I was going to be my last... obviously that was a total and utter lie... cause here I am.
So at this point in the story I really have no idea what end is up. The twists that were revealed over the course of the last two installments, well those just sort of felt like they came out of nowhere. But this one, well... There was just something about the scene that took up most of the book that hooked me. We’ve seen Sean at his worst but for the first time we really get to see him at his best. His most vulnerable – being the man that Avery always wanted... but she isn’t quite sure what to do with him. Is this a passing moment, this glimpse of the man he used to be, or will it stick this time? Is the pushing her away finally over?
This series is pure crack. I just can’t help myself, although I know I should. I got hooked on a story about the worst call girl in the history of prostitution and I just can’t stop now.
Well, I am really trying to figure out why there are all of these five-star reviews. I don't get it. I can't seem to stop reading, so I guess that H.M. Ward found something, but I don't even remember how we started this series and got to where we are in book 18. Who was Black and what does she have to do with anything anymore? Who is Avery running from? Do we even know and if we do, I have completely forgotten. I need to take cliff notes for each novella I read so that I can figure out what happened previously.
The saving grace for this book was the character development with Avery and Sean and we see a side of Sean we really have not seen yet. If written well, this book can finish by 20. I think that is as far as I can take it.
I'm lost and hoping book 19 can tie everything up or maybe book 20... I am already well over $50 into this series and don't want to pay much more. Other novellas out there are selling for $.99 a piece and finish a story in 5. I have said this before, I am starting to think it is less about the fans and writing a good story and more about the money from the suckers like me who can't stop reading... like someone said, it is like crack. I need rehab to break my Arrangement habit!
On a side note, I have noticed that while all of the reviews for this book are really high, fewer and fewer people have reviewed each book - over 26,000 reviews for book one and by the time I review this one, 537... granted it has not been out that long, but if you look at each book, the review number drops. I know there are die-hard fans out there that won't like my review, but I am being honest. Stop the madness and finish the series please!
SPOILER ALERT BEWARE!!!! I was given and ARC of this boom in return for an honest review. I have lived this series from the very first installment. This is by far my all time favorite. I got what I've been waiting for finally. I've wanted Avery and Sean to be happy together. I've waited so long to see the true side of Sean. I knew he was hidden in there somewhere. Hrs finally letting his guard down and opening up to Avery. He is loving her how she deserves, finally!!!! This installment was so romantic, passionate, and hot. Omg I need so much more of this Sean. Swoon! He was so loving and gentle in this one. This is a totally new side to Sean. And he and Avery are finally being totally honest with each other. He's no longer keeping secrets. Things are great until Marty calls and tells them to get out of the house immediately. They rush out and Marty is there. Sean tells Avery that Capone was her dad and her half brother is trying to kill her to keep her from her inheritance. She is shocked. Then Sean gets a call from his mom. She's in the house. The house that has a bomb that just went off. Omg these cliff hangers. But Holly has blown me away again. Loved it but I need more right now!!!! Thank you for the ARC Holly.
At last we see the real Sean Ferro!! I loved this instalment, this is the best one in a while and it actually gave me some hope...until the end...I cannot wait for 19!!
Avery turns to the last person she every thought she would want on her side. When she arrives at the Ferro Mansion, she is shocked once again. She never imagined seeing the person who answers the door again. It seems as if Avery is on a twisted Merry-Go-Round ride, going around & around.
I haven't been well therefore reading was put on the back burner. I had a disagreement with Holly on Facebook too so it was another reason going back to her books took longer.
I'm super glad that I did go back and read my favourite authors instalments again. This was the start of me recalling why I loved to read so much.
Holly has a way of opening up old wounds and helping you work through them as you click each page...making you race through the volume...
I love Sean and Avery...my heart sores, breaks, I laugh, I cry and I scream all within 90 ebook pages!!! Once again, Holly has written an amazing story that leaves you begging for more. I've never been so glad to have the emailing copies of the series...
Did these revelations just occur?! Wow!!! Without spoiling anything for others, all I can say is you won't be disappointed. You will love it, you HAVE to read this...
I love Holly and so grateful for her amazing way to put a story together... I've read 19 already too... I can't WAIT to read the rest...now!!!
I was given an ARC of this fantastical book for an honest review.
Sean Ferro is back in all his sexual pantie dropping glory. I have missed him so very much while he was hiding in the shadows. You think you loved Sean Ferro before? Think again. All his sweet and tenderness is back in full force and the dark side (yes like Star Wars) is nowhere to be seen. Sean is perfection is every way in this eighteenth installment. He can't believe Avery came back but he wants he, needs her and opening up to her to be the man they both know he can be is his last move to keep her.
Sean has a plan to keep Avery safe and while Sean has been loving and caring before Avery doesn't know if she can trust him again with her heart. Sean opens up a lot to Avery about his past and his feeling s towards her but Avery is holding back a little because she's afraid of him hurting her again.
When sh*t hits the fan and freedom is so close, they get a call that will change everything.
This latest installment was the BOMB!!! There is so much going on but this little interlude with Avery and Sean was worth everything being put on hold for a while. I can not CAN NOT wait for the next installment. I have a feeling it will be amazing beyond belief.
So. This isn't the "old Sean" or the "New Sean" its a weird out of this world Sean. Seemed sort of unbelievable honestly kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop the whole time.
I'm assuming it's the real him.
This installment was pretty much angst and stupid drama free. I feel like h.m ward is trying to get back to the root of the story which is and always should have been Avery and Sean searching for some semblance of a HEA.
I was so annoyed in the beginning having been confused as to where this would all lead now, not really believing that this story could actually be shaping up to what I always sort of wanted. It felt like false hope.
I'm still unsure why the hell Trystan needs to be involved at all. He served his purpose already. Marty still concerns me, I have no clue where that story line is heading.
Just when shit is finally being resolved in some way BOOM! She threw something random and unexpected in there to extend the story line further.
I liked this book and I hope it continues much the same way in the next.
I love the Ferro men and Trystan, but this is a little too much. This has been going on far too long. Then this volume...oh god. Is Sean schizophrenic? I can understand acting different ways with different people or situations, but usually a person doesn't act like someone else completely. Usually, he's cold, kinky, alpha, but this book, he seems like a sub compared to the other 17 books (plus the times he's appeared in the books of his brothers). I like strong, alpha male Sean. I've always thought he could be a little more loving/kind/caring to Avery, but don't change him too much.
And another thing, how long do we have to wait until Trystan's next book. I've been seeing the cover under "Coming Soon" for what seems like forever. Also, we need Jon's book, as well. And why the shell did Bryan need to be killed. His last book was horrible, but he was one of my favorites and I didn't get more of him.
As much as I love these guys, I'm getting tired and annoyed.
I read book 1-15 and was so disappointed by the turn of events in 14 and 15 that I went through the reviews of books 16-20 to get a sense of what happens. I just couldn't have my impressions of Sean and Avery mangled anymore. 16 and 17 appeared to be even worse than 15 but many of the reviews for book 18 said that we got a glimpse of the original Avery and Sean. Unfortunately, reviews for both 19 and 20 return to disgruntled reports and more questions than answers. So I bought 18 and read it with hope of closure. It is the satisfying reconciliation that I have chosen to be my conclusion to the saga. I don't need all the answers, nor all of the angst. After 13, Sean and Avery ceased being the characters I was so drawn to anyway. Even in 18, they are a shadow of who they were in the earlier books, but at least there is a HEA that I can live with.
Oh my ! Welcome back Sean We last found Avery battling against all her instincts, as it seemed she could trust no one. In this instalment we find Sean and her together, even though that was not her initial intention. The descriptions of Sean's lair( sorry rooms) will blow you away. Some of our questions are answered. But of course just when you feel that you are starting to make the jigsaw fit together, Holly comes along and smacks it up in the air all over again. But oh how gorgeous is Sean in this part of the story, I so hope that carries on and that somehow they manage their HEA
OK so I wanna give it 3.5 stars. I really am happy that she got back to what we want to read about with Sean and Avery but it never should have went to where the last few books went. I really hope this ends soon. I am still confused because its such a turn around for Sean so I don't know how to feel about him. let's just end it and it better be a happy ever after!!!!!!
Haha I was only joking that this would lead to 20 books when it was at no7.... It looks like my prediction may be right.....This author is blackmarked on my reading list.... 0 stars..... Absolute garbage after book 8... Stopped reading....
This book isn't bad. However, I did not like the part where Avery went flying back into Sean's arms even after the rude degrading remarks by him. But that change of events? I'm in until the end of this series. LET'S GO!
AAAAGGGGHHHH, this book is so fun. And the cliff just kills me. This author really knows how to keep you on your toes. I'm a little surprised by Sean's reactions in this book. To me he's a little hot and cold and it is a bit confusing but I'm an easy reader and I just go with the flow. The author always has a reason. So I'm reading the books in order and let me just say it will be difficult to move away from the Sean and Avery but we are learning so much about other characters that I'm hoping will intertwine into this main story arc. The revelations that come out are just so much fun and the drama....exciting. I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to jump into 19 but first I'm off to meet Nick Ferro, the Kerry whoever that is, and finally a young Peter. Be sure to read my reviews to see if the future series that bisect this series enhance the reading of Sean & Avery's story. I've put a little note at the beginning of each Ferro series telling you how well it fits into the main story arc. Mainly because it is so difficult to walk away from such a juicy story, especially as the drama is heating up. Good Luck
