Strong language and sexual content.

Besieged

Theodore Ellis. Men want to be him, and women want to be underneath him. He’s the entrepreneurial bad boy, the tabloids darling, and as infamous in the bedroom as he is in the boardroom. Theo Ellis is the moral free man whore, that women can’t even bring themselves to feel ashamed over

Lilly Parker. Everything about her screams sex. She’s beautiful, strong, intelligent and independent. She’s the career driven, man-eater, who can make a grown man feel like a sixteen year old boy.
What happens when a player meets his match? This is alpha versus alpha, as two major players make and break the rules.
The game will change, and lines will blur.
This is war. Hearts will become dangerously Besieged, and walls will be battered to the ground.
Love is a war. She who dares…wins

Conquered

Love is a war in which only the fearless may conquer. The loss of love is a test in survival.

Love. It’s such an understated word. It has the ability to grip you so hard you become completely consumed by it, and when it releases you, you find yourself on your knees. Lilly Parker has me on my knees and I cannot muster the will to stand.

Betrayal. It’s all the worse when it comes from those we love. The pain, that much more intense. The loss, that much more heart breaking. I took a chance on Theodore Ellis and I lost.

How hard is Theo willing to fight for the woman he loves? Can Lilly fight her demons, or will she push away the only man capable of facing them with her?

Conquered is the emotional, gritty second part of Lilly and Theo's story.

Surrendered

I have spent my entire life fighting. Fighting for survival. Fighting my past. Fighting to keep anyone from getting too close. Until him. Theodore Ellis.

He’s my light in the darkness. The only person who makes me truly feel. My most unlikely of saviours. No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to fight him.
No matter how many blows I rain down on him, he remains loyal and unmoving. I love him. I need him.

Theo is my vulnerability, the chink in my armour, but he is also my strength. I can’t fight him anymore.

The past only holds as much power as you allow it to. It’s time to tell my story. It’s time to bare my soul, and let Theo into my dark world. It’s time to take back my power.

Love is a war. She who dares wins
.
I’m ready to risk it all. I’m ready to surrender.

I don’t know where to start with this review!!

Ok, firstly, I like the cover. It screams “bet on black, came up red” and I think that sets the tone for this book.

Millionaire man-whore Theo lived the typical playboy lifestyle. No girl was off limits. He ran his businesses hard but he played harder. Fuck ‘em and move on to the next one was most definitely his motto. Theo and Hugo epitomised the “too much money too young” psyche. I couldn’t decide if I was more like Hugo or Theo lol (pre-marriage!) But I think I was probably more like Theo as I never had to pay for it ;-)

Enter flame haired, green eyed, legs-to-die for Lilly. Instant hard-ons for all the guys, particularly Theo. They came to a bit of an unconventional “relationship” that they both thought they could stick to.

What differs in this book to the other millionaire falls for sexy girl stories, is Lilly. Lilly wasn’t a virgin. She was as laddish in her attitude as Theo and Hugo. She was out for a good time and was no pushover or easy lay. Theo had to work really hard to get anywhere with her! It wasn’t the alpha male who ran, or had commitments issues, it was the alpha female! That made a refreshing change.

The banter between Theo and his mates, and Lilly and hers, was, at times, hilarious. I had to laugh at the twin incident with Hugo…yep that could happen. And that’s the thing about this book, everything that was depicted in this story was real. The way Theo and Hugo were voiced by the author was spot on how blokes talk. The added swears but also the whole tone of their conversations and the subject of their chats…well they were straight out of a man’s mouth!

I found the whole story to be totally captivating. I watched in awe as Lilly turned down Theo time and time again, even though the attraction was there. I could feel her torment as she wrestled with her feelings.

I loved how this was a British author writing a British book where knickers were knickers, jeans were jeans, and everything that came out of anyone’s mouth was totally British! Maybe Americans will need a translator app lol.

Absolutely brilliant! I absolutely loved it, and I’m off to read the next book.

5 fuck-buddy stars from me.

Conquered

The cover of this book is ultra sexy. A red-head sitting alone as if deep in thought. It could be Lilly Parker. Ah Lilly Parker…..just thinking about Lilly Parker makes me hard! She is one tough stubborn cookie! We get to learn a lot about why she is the way she is, what makes her tick although even at the end of the book, there is still more to reveal. I think she definitely loves Theo but by loving him, she feels that exposes a weakness and Lilly doesn’t like to show weakness at all. I like that she isn’t virginal. I like that she isn’t weak and needy. I like that she is feisty and sassy and could give the Dockers a run for their money on the swearing front!!

I found it quite endearing when Hugo said that Lilly was attracted to Theo for his control, his alpha-maleness and when Theo was wallowing, Hugo told him that Lilly wouldn’t find that attractive. I have to say, Hugo talks a lot of sense. Lilly was attracted to the powerful Theo, not the desperate and needy Theo. Hugo comes across as a walking dick, yet he does come out with quite profound statements! But then he kind of reverts to type, when his eyes are checking out an arse or a pair of tits!

I love the writing style of Ms Lovell. It is very easy to read and non-fussy. She writes a flowing story, follows a time-line, heads her chapter with the person’s POV…oooh and that’s another thing I liked, she writes an excellent male POV.

Oh man, I really hated that this is a trilogy….and yet I love that there’s another book of them. But I hate waiting for a conclusion. I would love a book 3 to resolve all the issues and give them a HEA. Then do a cheeky little novella of them all going off on holiday together or something! OMFG that would be a great and hilarious book!! Can you imagine, Theo, Hugo, Harry, George and the girls on a tropical island!!

Can you tell I absolutely love this motley bunch of characters!! I’m even thinking of storylines for them!!

Hahaha read this book, it’s fucking brilliant!

Surrendered

Oh God, LP Lovell really went for the emotional jugular on this book. Lilly’s backstory is just horrendous. The things she went through as a youngster, mostly instigated by the person you should be able to trust with your life, your Mother, were cruel and abhorrent. How she survived all that and came out the other side is a miracle. Reading about her childhood would give anyone a lump in their throat and I struggled to gulp down the bile that was forming in my throat. I felt angry at her Mother, I felt as helpless as Lilly. LP writes in such a way that she placed me in that room, bound and gagged and forced to watch, totally unable to help Lilly.

The connection between Lilly and her brother was good to read. They would both go to the ends of the earth to protect each other and that was perfectly clear. I liked reading that at least Lilly had her brother during her childhood, she wasn’t alone.

The dynamics between Theo and Lilly were great. He’s all ultra-caveman determined to sort out all Lilly’s problems. He’s swooped in to be the ultimate hero and sometimes you just can’t fixed everything!

The writing style of Ms Lovell is second to none. She writes with a passion for her characters that I couldn’t help but be dragged into their story. I cried when they cried, I cheered when things went right for them all.

My only criticism is there simply wasn’t enough of Hugo in this book! Hugo has got to be one of the funniest book characters I’ve read about this year! People have said he’s just like me in his attitude and vernacular! The guy is just a walking, talking, pussy magnet so I’m quite happy to be likened to him hahaha.

LP Lovell, this trilogy has been great, from the story to the characters, to the smooth writing, to the sexy times, to the funny times……I can’t fault it.

Overall

A fucking brilliant box set worthy of 5 fucking stars!!

I knew nothing about Besieged when I started, and I'm glad for it. After only reading the first book, I already know that this is one of those series that you become easily captivated with. I loved all of the characters, even the ones I probably shouldn't.
Lilly and Theo both avoid relationships at all costs. So when Theo starts chasing Lilly, doing every thing he can to get her to sleep with him, she does her best to turn him down. He's just not that easily swayed. He's persistent, I'll give him that. Lilly eventually gives in, telling him that this is a sex only relationship, which Theo is fine with. But somewhere down the line, they both thought more could work. The only problem is that there are events from Lilly's past that keep her from willingly giving in to more. When she does finally drop her walls a smidge, someone comes in to the picture that makes her lock her walls back as high as she can. I'm glad there I already have the second book b/c the ending has me hungry to know what's next.

If Lilly and Theo have a rough road ahead of them. After having a pregnancy thrown at them out of the blue, Lilly runs. Even if it happened while they weren't together she can't be with Theo while there is a girl claiming to be pregnant with his child. It's too much.
Lilly has a lot of secrets. She holds them close. There are some that not all even her closest friends know about. They all threaten to burst free as curveball after curveball are thrown at her, slowly crumbling her strong exterior shell.
Theo just wants to love her. He'd give up life and limb to be able to. He tries to give her space until he realizes that Lilly has never been easily attained. He's had to chase her and fight for her from the very beginning. Now that he's fighting for her love, he'll just have to fight harder.
Book two in the She Who Dares series is full of angst and heartache, not just for the hero and heroine, but for everyone involved. In some way, shape, or form, everyone is touched and affected by the events that unfold. In the end, secrets are starting to unfold and the puzzle is finally starting to come together. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see the big picture until book three. In Conquered, we're left with a story that is just starting to be told. We're about to find out about the real Lilly Parker when three little words are thrown at us.... To Be Continued. You'll have to pick up book three to find out where this cliffhanger ending is going.

A lot of secrets are divulged in Surrendered. These are the kind of secrets that could make or break Lilly, secrets that she never wanted to get out. She's afraid that if Theo were to find out that it could change the way he sees her, it could all change everything.

This series is one that will immediately pull you in from the very beginning. I loved Lilly and Theo's relationship. He's the unattainable Theo Ellis. Every woman wants him and every man wants to be him. He meets his match in Lilly. He's never been turned down before her. She is feisty. She doesn't take crap from anyone. All of this only makes Theo want her more. He doesn't stop, no matter who or what is thrown in between them. He's willing to do whatever it takes to prove to her that he loves her.

While I absolutely loved book one, books two and three weren't as high on my list. They were still enjoyable, but seemed to focus more on the problems that were thrown their way. I do wish that it focused more on the relationship between the two of them and less on the ones that tried to destroy them. Either way, it's a series you can read where you don't only love the main characters, but all of the secondary characters as well. I'm excited to get some of their stories next.

This has been one of my favourite reads this year. Theo is a typical rich player but when he meets feisty Lily he has met his match.
Theo - she made me love and now she's making me bleed.

Lily has secrets; they are constantly arguing but Theo needs to stay strong for her and not walk away. She needs to let down her guard and accept his mistake.

Lily - love doesn't have conditions, it just is. I'd rather walk a difficult road with you than take the easy route alone, because without you, nothing is easy.

The banter between man-whore Hugo, Theo, Lily and Molly is so amusing. Looking forward to,reading Hugo's story.

Wonderful Story

This story was so heart wrenching. They went through so much and I love how the author made them do that. Love is not always easy and therefore that makes it stronger. This is a must read and I never wanted it to end. Now I will definitely be reading Ruined because I want to read more by this author.

DNF. I seem to be in the minority here, but I just could not get into this series. I felt like the series had no substance. I felt the writing was somewhat dumb downed. I just felt no chemistry between the hero and heroine. The heroine came across snobby, detached. I get that she went through a traumatic event, but she just seemed cold with everyone. I attribute that to poor writing.

This very well could be a great read, but I loathe the characters so far, it is repetitive AF, and the Brit-speak is bugging me to no end. With 17 other books on my kindle, I really don't have time for this.

Well worth a read Theo and Lilly are both strong characters, he's fighting for their relationship she's fighting against it, with plenty of good supporting characters this trilogy has everything to keep your interest and it's well written.
