When I requested to review “A New Day at Midnight” I thought it was Historical Fiction/ Romance. A genre I quite enjoy! It wasn’t until I started reading that I realised that it is Paranormal Romance, with vampires!! I don’t read vampires! That being said I was committed, so I read the book and surprisingly enjoyed the story.

Hannah was a protagonist anyone would warm to. She was courageous, feisty and quick witted. She had a big heart and was always determined to speak her mind. Hannah’s life ha

What a beautiful story!
I dove right in the book without any expectations other than the romance vibes. When I read the blurb, I could say that this book contain enough level of romance I always want in a book. And… damn if this book didn’t captivate me! I had a
Hannah’s life has been filled with more pain than pleasure, but when her father sells her to the Romani leader, she will begin a journey she could never have imagined with a dark and dangerous man who never meant let her be any more than a slave. Merik is on a mission to possess Hannah, to possess her spirit as revenge for her betrayal in another time. What he found was a spirited woman who knew how to truly touch him in so many ways. Hannah was a woman willing to see past the true monster he wa ...more

I'm having trouble staring this review, I know what I want to say but I can't seem to get it out. This isn't a bad thing, I just don't how to put all my thoughts a feels down into something coherent.

Okay one thing at a time.

Hannah, I love her. What I loved the most, she never gave up, not even when it looked like she should have and just tossed Merik back into the dark, chains an

A New Day at Midnight was a good book. I was skeptical at first but in the end I enjoyed reading this a lot. Hannah is one of those characters you cant help but fall in love with and I found myself always rooting for Merik. My only complaint is I wish this was a series or that they had a more compelling ending. The story felt like it just stopped. Overall it was a good book and I enjoyed reading this.

I received a free e-ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) of this book in exchange for an honest review. The offer came in an e-mail from Goodreads. I’m not sure if this was just a general e-mail that went out to all Goodreads members, if this was because I'd tried to win an advance copy of a book I wanted about a year ago, or if I got specifically selected to review something supernatural because I’ve read the entire series of The Dresden Files (

Teenager Hannah Worthington cares for her little sister Kat and stays far away from her father Ernest, a mean drunk. Romani, gypsies, come to town and Hannah falls in love with one of them,Paul, who is a teenager like herself. While Hannah and Paul are together, a search party including her father comes upon them and mutilates and kills Paul. But is he really dead? Incredibly good dialogue and believable characters introduce the reader to a paranormal romance where the good and bad both live on ...more
It took me several tries to get into the book. I would start it then stop. For me the beginning was just awkward. With all the positive reviews I pressed on one day and I’m glad I did. This book is kind of weird- not weird in a bad way but strange and exciting weird. There’s gypsies who are demons turned into vampires (I hope I got that right)- like I said weird.

Characters in this book are not whom they seem and true identities are revealed as the story progresses. Out of all the characters, my

Hannah has lost her mother and struggles every day to look after her sister while their father drinks in the saloon. One day a caravan of gypsies arrive and Hannah hopes things might change for her even if it’s only for a little while. Hannah meets a Romani boy and immediately has strong feelings for him. Unfortunately the men of the town are unhappy with the 'Gypsies' being in town and the couple are ripped apart

I'm not normally a big adult book reader, normally I read more YA. But, I do have to say I really enjoyed this book. There were parts that were a little slow but there were also sections that I couldn't bring myself to put it down. I love the whole gypsy/demon aspect. The more adult scenes weren't overly raunchy or too meek either. Definitely wouldn't recommend to younger readers. There was some beli

I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
It took a few chapters to lay the groundwork, and from there on in, I was hooked!
The story is beautifully written with captivating characters. It has a wonderful combination of romance, drama and the paranormal.
I found myself counting down the minutes until my kids' bedtime so that I could continue the adventure.
Definitely worth your time.

It took me a bit to read this book. The author does an incredible job of taking you back in time and putting you “into” the story. But once the ground work was laid in my mind, I was hooked! Great love story! Hot scenes, intense story line, just a very well written story. Take yourself back in time and take yourself away! Well worth the read!

So there's still fresh stories and slants on vampiric mythology after all, and a touch of romance doesn't need make stories cutsie or bland. A page turner with an intricate and original plot to say the least. If you liked Twilight this will blow you away. If you hated twilight (and I'm a soul-mate if you did,) this justifies why, and what that terrible tale could have been.

What a beautiful book! I love the main characters, especially Merik, the male lead. He's misguided and overbearing and sweet and loyal all at the same time. His character really develops throughout the book. Romantic scenes were great as well, overall a very good read. ...more

This is another amazing romance by another amazing author. For all those looking for a historical romance with a little bit of lust and a little bit of 'action' (if you know what I mean). Then this book is for you!

I have never given a book anything lower than three stars, because I really love books! However, I felt like I was just handed an unedited manuscript rather than a published novel. The writing style was disjointed. It was as if it was written by more than one author, especially following chapter three. The first three chapters had many grammatical errors and just plain bad writing. Then, suddenly in chapter four, the writing is acceptable. Either more than one author is writing this book, or som ...more

FTC: I was given this ARC from Bookus Publishing in exchange for an honest review!

I don't know why, but I couldn't finish this book. Between going through a reading block due to a bunch of standardized exams to finals, I just didn't have time to read this book. It was also very much confusing in my opinion, which made this book even harder to finish.

I've made my way through 68% of the book before giving up on it, however, so at least I can say I tried. I tried. And here's a sticker to prove so:

I received an advanced copy of this novel from Bookkus Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This book was something different for me, not my usual genre, but it grabbed my attention and I couldn’t put it down. I found this novel to be quite dark with gypsies, the occult, and monsters from the underworld. A young girl thinks she is going to be married but instead her abusive father sells her to a gypsy. The author has a clever way of weaving Dante into the story. I recommend reading this ...more

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I actually enjoyed the book and the characters. It reminded me of the classic Beauty and the Beast story, a very nice and interesting version. Not a big fan of your everyday blood and vamps story but this was pretty fresh and enjoyable if you can ignore Hannah's sarcasm which is her way of coping and her protection after years of abuse. This was definitely worth the read and I found a new writer to enjoy. ...more

(received from Bookus Publishing) I have read quite a few vampire and supernatural books and I found this one quite enjoyable. Without giving too much away, I found the creation of the back story of the book's vampires to be creative, although the actual plot is what kept me reading. My main wish was that it didn't end with such a quickness, but other than that, I was happy to have an opportunity to read this. ...more

I received this book from The Library Thing, to read and review. It's a light paranormal romance. While the writer has come up with a decent story and some well developed characters, the hand of a good editor was not in evidence. One wonders if it was self published. If you can get past the first five chapters, you may enjoy the story. ...more
