My son bought this book from some kids selling them door to door. They were trying to raise money for college. It is sponsored through The Indiana Academy, which is located on Ball State University. The book is all about eating healthy. It has lots of great recipes and photos. What's really great about this book, is you really don't need any thing special to fix the food. I haven't tried any of them yet. But I will be doing that. Since we all need to eat healthier foods. I give this book 5....
One thing I really appreciate in a cookbook is menu ideas, where it doesn't just give me the recipe, but provides ideas on what to serve with that dish. Most of the recipes in this cookbook do provide menu ideas and I love that. It helps to take the guess work out of meal planning. And it's a great cookbook. There are inspiring recipes and good food photography. Most of the recipes I've tried have turned out really well. It does use some oil, but mostly not in large amounts, so it should be easy to eliminate it, if desired. A great addition to my cookbook library.
