Sven and Flavier are bandmates and have been lovers for 10 years. Sven is experienced both behind the camera and in front of it. He’s a sharp dresser, lead singer, and has a secret talent that is now known to the 12,000 people who viewed a private video Flavier accidentally uploaded in place of their band’s promo video.

Will this disaster be the end of their relationship?

I don’t often read stories about established couples and found this one to be unique and refreshing. It’s a short story, so we are not given an extensive background of Sven’s and Flavier’s relationship before or after the incident. In spite of the lack of details, the deep love Sven and Flavier have for each other is clearly evident and the hurt, pain and regret felt by Flavier is heartbreaking.

Nicely written, sad, sweet, and very erotic. I just wish it were a little longer.

Awesome read. So much in only 41 pages. It was really good.
I liked the flow
Sven and Flav (Flav pov) The blurb tells you the storyline.
The feelings were all there, they had a strong solid relationship.
And then it was over. Damn that hurt.
Flav his reflections were painful but he was determined.
At some point my heart stopped and I really thought that is was all over.
But thank you Lordie it all worked out well.

Filthy, fabulous, fruity fun with more than a touch of all round clenching.

This story is the result of a Valentine's Day Challenge. It was a lot of fun to write (I was writing to a prompt), so is perhaps a little more erotic than my usual stuff, but it still has a story and hopefully characters with some depth.

Thank you for reading. :)

Filthy, but a little heart breaker. Like all Debbie McGowan's books, the real people show through and connect with you whether you want them to or not!

This is a little more explicit than I usually like my m/m romance, but it enhances rather than detracts from the well written story underneath. Basically, everyone makes mistakes. Some are intentional and some are accidental, and sometimes it takes the bigger man to admit that or forgive it.

A great little valentines romp. Literally!

Wow...

The blurb didn't do much for me, but because I love Debbie's writing I thought I'd give it a go anyway, thinking I would just read part of it before having an early night...

I guess should've known better; that I wasn't going to have that early night.

In short (because I need to sleep!) this story is a whirlwind of emotions, and sex, and more emotions.
I feel I need a long night to recover; a longer one than the one that's left now...

I thought Sven's reaction to the whole thing was a bit extreme (you don't throw away 10 years of history and love over an honest mistake), but maybe I'm sympathizing with Flav's mistaken upload because I accidentally emailed a kinky m/m book to a total stranger this week when I was trying to send it to my kindle. Shit happens, dude.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I’m having trouble figuring out how to start this review so I’m just going to jump in. Sven and Flav right away in the beginning were super hot, but I wasn’t looking forward to reading a novella stuff with sex, no pun intended. I was wrong. By the time the drama was unfolding, I wanted them to get together so bad! For two characters that I haven’t had other books to build an attachment to, I was stressing about them falling apart.

It is one of my biggest fears to have something that personal put out to the interweb public. I panicked with Flav, felt for Sven, and wanted to kick Dan in the shins. Shut your face and play the drums you inconsiderate dick – no opinion there. Anyways, I loved how this story flowed just fast enough that it fit the novella length, but not so fast it felt rushed.

The Cherry Pop Cocktail?! So corny but it melded pretty well with the end of the story. Corny, but I liked it enough I want to figure out what else would be in it.

The main part of the story I had trouble with was the character description/ lack thereof. Sven is a Scandinavian with blue eyes and a strong jaw and oozes sex and has a haunting and beautiful voice and a great fashion sense, but where are the descriptions of Flav? He’s the one who cleans the apartment and has Sven pick out his wardrobe. With a name like Flavier, I was hoping for some sort of mental picture and I didn’t get one.

All in all, I enjoyed this short story. Sven and Flav are hot together and I’d love to see more about them or them popping into another story somewhere. No pun intended there either.

This book was provided for free by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I love established-couple romance and I know that this fact isn’t true for a lot of people, so this story already had a lot going for me before I even started reading it. But now that I am done, I have no idea what I think about this story.

One thing I know for sure is that I wanted more; this short story is not the perfect length because it leaves you wanting more, much more. I wanted more Flavier and Sven not only after but also before. I feel like this story is more suited to being called a teaser, and the full story still has a lot unsaid.

What I did like about this story was that it was written from Flavier’s perspective and he was really honest about everything to the point of at times being caustic and very uncomplimentary. But I liked the brutal honesty as it made it easier to understand things exactly as they were.

I have read quite a few romances but I have never met characters like Sven and Flavier and that is really saying something. While you don’t ever come across the same characters in different books it is hard to come across someone who is wholly uninspired. But Sven and Flavier are very different from my usual repository of characters that it was hard to form an opinion on these two with so little background.

Sven is a really good-looking guy with looks like a model’s which is actually incorrect since, he does model. He was doing photography in Uni but now is the lead singer of the band; another thing that is very sketchy is the origins of the band. Flavier, who is also a amateur photographer, is the pianist of the band. While photography does play into the story their hidden talents which ended up in a mildly-successful band hoping to break big leave the story with quite a few loose-ends.

In short I wanted more, I wanted to know what happens after the story ends, is their ever a marriage proposal and most importantly where these two are coming from. In fact while I can’t say I loved the story, I also can’t say that I hated it which makes it harder to assess what more pages could have done for this story.

This was a short story that packed a ton on of emotion, and hotness, wow, this was a late night accident that could happen to anyone. It was such a huge mistake though, in the grand scheme of things and because they were in the public eye that Sven’s reaction to it was completely understandable. The wonderful thing was, it was easy to see the situation from both of their points of view, and Flav’s despondence, loneliness, pain, and regret came shining through right from the moment he’d realized what he’d done. I loved how the reader was treated to some of the couple’s history in the flashbacks, the sweetness of the moment that Sven asked if they could find a place together, their Valentines routine, I loved how in each moment the reader was treated to the true bond between them and not just the intimate stuff.

This was the kind of short that left me wanting more, but in only the very best of ways. I was curious to learn more about the ten years together, the forming of the band, the energy they shared on stage, as well as the things they had come to love off of it, the voyeurism and the photography. I was also left curious to see how they would go about rebuilding, would it be with the band, or apart from it, and if so, what would be the ramifications on the band. I was curious to learn more about Dan as well, and how he got to the point where the band was all he had, or if he even wanted more than to have just the band.

Was there’s a friendship that could survive the breakup of the band, and where Sven and Flav would go and do if the band were to break up and they were to make their lives apart from it. And if they didn’t break up the band, then how they managed to build something together that was apart from it and just there. Like I said, all good things it left me wondering, because I really enjoyed these characters, their story and the way the author’s writing flowed, right along with the presentation. This was a very well written short story.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This short story was all sorts of sweet and sexy. As I've come to expect from Debbie, she had me fanning myself one moment and reaching for the tissues the next.

There's nothing surprising about Flav's accidental sex-video posting mistake; the writing is pretty much on the wall from the start. But what I didn't expect was how deeply I would be affected by the thought of a relationship like Flavier & Sven's ending. Ten years and down the tube, pun intended, with one impatient click.

Debbie is a wonderful storyteller, and through Flav's memories, we feel the intensity of the couple's relationship. While it typically takes twice as long for me to become attached to characters, I was drawn to Flav immediately and spent the remainder of the book hoping for a happy ending. Without giving anything away, I can tell you that Debbie didn't disappoint.

Each chapter is cleverly designated an "upload progress", and it's details like that which endear me to Ms. McGowan's writing even more. She's one of those authors that I have on auto-download, and I will happily sink into my sofa with a cup of coffee to savor every word of her amazing stories.

This is one of those short stories where we "join the show in progress." Instead of the start of something, this is either the middle or end of this relationship. Because of that, there are a number of flashbacks, which I usually feel interrupt the flow of the narrative.
It's about a young British guy and his young Swedish boyfriend. They are immersed in the world of pop culture: photography, modeling, pop band, clubbing.
I felt a bit like a voyeur, overhearing the private thoughts and conversations of a couple in the midst of a spat over misunderstandings.
The couple were cute and the story was desperate and sad at times, but also deliriously happy too.

I liked the way this story was told, with some flashbacks and in terms of video upload. I did need a little more on where the video came from - did they make them all the time? Was it a one time thing that went bad? Sven is a great character and I was glad he didn't cave right away.

I thought this story was both cute and fresh, and despite it being so short, the love between the MCs was palpable. I liked them both, even though I thought Sven (btw why are all Swedish guys named Sven?) was a bit harsh on Flavier.

A free copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

Sven and Flavier are bandmates who have been together for about ten years. They both share the same kinks and are described from Flavier POV as perfect for each other since they're sexually compatible and get along so well. Flavier uses youtube as a tool to help promote the band but after a little mishap with uploading the wrong video. Flavier knows Sven will leave him for it, so after much urging from band members to fix it, Flavier attempts to undo the damage hoping the results will end in his favor.

It felt like quite an erotic short read with the first and second chapter (of five) introducing readers to the sort of sexual activities the couple like to indulge in. It also gave readers a glance of Sven and Flavier personalities and how the conduct themselves within their relationship and out of it. It was such a short read that there was no time to become attached to the characters and I felt detached from them. There was good romancing and Flavier grand gesture to win Sven was sweet.

I was given this book free by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

I am not really sure how I feel about this book. It was really short and I think that's part of the problem. There was no time to develop the storyline or reactions.

I know that Flav did a stupid thing. I still cant believe he didn't check the video he was uploading as he was uploading it. Equally, I can't believe that Sven would just leave like that without talking to Flav and throwing away 10 years.
Whilst I also appreciate you wouldn't like pictures / video of yourself having sex, these were the 2 men who like exhibitionism, we are told of the time they were at the movies, where anybody could have seen them.

Also I guess the ending was also just a little too twee for me. I am happy there was an HEA and that there wasn't a lot of angst but for me there was just something missing.

I don't really get why Sven was so quick to toss ten years away. I get he was angry but to leave Flavier because of it when he says himself he knows it was an accident seems like an over-reaction. It was a little odd.

Not a bad story overall but I think it really needed to be a novel length story rather than a short read.
