Brian Godawa has been a professional filmmaker, writer, and designer for over 20 years. His creative versatility was born of a passion for both intellect and imagination, both left-brain and right-brain. The result: Brian is an artisan of word, image, and story that engages heart, mind, and soul. Just think, "Renaissance Man."
A Feast of Fiction: Brian Godawa Serves Another Stunning Course
Reading a Brian Godawa novel is a bit like visiting your favourite restaurant, you know exactly what you’re getting, and somehow it’s delicious every single time.
Daniel: Exile in Babylon continues that tradition with flair. It’s gripping, imaginative, and thought‑provoking in all the right ways.
If you like Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti, you’ll love this Bible novel series. Better yet, It’s like Ted Dekker meets JRR Tolkien. Spiritual warfare, biblically grounded novel series.
That’s the flavour Godawa serves up, bold, grounded, and cinematic.
For fans of the “Chronicles of the Watchers” series you will love this retelling of the prophet Daniel’s story. It is tremendously fascinating how the story of Daniel can be developed to make the context of ancient Babylon interesting and great storytelling. The level of research will be appreciated with the coherence of historical and Biblical narrative to present a spiritual battle that is not a sermon. The only downside is the wait for Part 2.
Reading this book made me reread the books in the Bible about Daniel and Babylon with new eyes. I love how Brian Godawa utilizes all the historical documents to write a book that teaches understanding but Honors God.
