This was quite an enjoyable read for me.
I thought there would be a lot of drama and angst (all those life changing decisions) but it was actually a very light, angst-free reading.
From the blurb we knew Jake and Colin would be a thing, so I assumed the book would start in a typical ‘boy meets boy’ scenario. I really liked that the author gave us context: we first learn about what’s happening in Jake and Colin’s life, understand why they say/ act/ think in certain ways, and only then do we ‘see’ how they are as a couple. That said, I did feel like it took a long time for them to actually meet and that their relationship was a bit rushed.
I was really nervous about the Colin and Roderick’s fight! My heart was pounding; I was so invested in that fight. I really like it when a book draws me in like that.
I found the dialogue to be a little bit cheesy sometimes. There were also a few inconsistencies, and some sentences came across as a little choppy but nothing I couldn’t get past.
I will be reading more of Jon Wilde's books.

This was really good! I was looking for something a little different from my usual MM read.
This is what I liked:
- interesting premise set in the MMA world ( which I know nothing about), but it pulled me in!
- MC's with humour
- low angst
- I actually enjoyed their bad dates before they met. It made it sweeter when they FINALLY met.

What I didn't like:
- MC's didn't meet until 50% of story
- when they finally met, I wanted more...more relationship development, more steam, more story (I felt cheated when the story skipped three months!).

Overall, an enjoyable quick read. I will definitely be reading more of this author.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Okay so let me start off by saying that I normally read MC,Russian mob, Cartel, Paranormal romance, Alpha male, EX-Military turned bad boy biker, Special forces turned security firms and oh yeah MFM books. So as you all can tell I like to read a lot and also love to have a variety in my collection. This book His Undeniable Desire by Jon Wilde, would be my second MM romance read and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It’s about the struggles life throws at us. And no matter what we all endure in life, there is always a light that’ll shine in on us in the most difficult time (meaning never give up).It also shows that good things come at a perfect time when we know how to cherish it most. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, I also loved the steamy scenes. The only thing that I wish was a little different with this book is that I wish their paths crossed sooner. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a real romance book with real life struggles. So that being said, I look forward to reading more of this authors work. So “thank you” Jon Wilde for giving me a chance to read your work.

This is a story about two people who have managed to find that one person who makes them feel like they are on the top of the world, despite their bad previous experiences in relationships.

The beginning of the book was a little confusing and descriptive in certain places, and there were small editing problems, but it was easy to overlook them.

I really liked that the author took the time to create a character who is different, a fighter who is funny and sometimes sweet, not just another tough alpha male like the most fighters in books, because it made the story and Colin more real and interesting to me. It was interesting and sometimes funny to read about Colin and Jake's dating attempts, both with other people and with each other. It also retminded me that even famous people are just people, and that even they can have problems in life and relationships.

2.5

The story itself was nice, I enjoyed the setting of MMA as it isn't something I've read before. The main characters were both sweet and I understood where they were both coming from. I had a near physical response when Trent (not an MC, so no worries there) was caught cheating and that impressed me because I could see it coming from a mile away and I am usually not invested quite so quickly in a story. I think this might have rated another star but I had a really hard time getting past the dialog which made me cringe more than occasionally (and another pass through editing wouldn't have hurt either) and also, I would have liked to see the MCs be together for more than a tiny snippet of the book. If you don't mind the backstory and the journey taking over the romance, then it isn't a big deal.

On a side note, as much as I didn't want to see the MCs with other people, I have to give the author credit for capturing some of the inexplicable stress and humor that comes with dating. It made me grin and shake my head more than once.

A copy very kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

A nice little story told from the points of view of the different characters. The story centres around the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) and the relationships of two couples, one half of each being an MMA fighter. We watch these couples fall apart and a new couple be formed leading to an HEA and no annoying cliff hanger. I enjoyed this but crikey, how many drama queens can you fit into one book?! Quite a lot apparently. Those men needed a good slap and told to get a grip.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I found this book to be a fast read with an interesting variety of characters. It shows how people change with fame and money, how easily 'the good guys' can be hurt, whether a regular Joe or a famous personality. Also, when you are famous people pretend to like you for only your money.

However, I found the story to be pretty predictable. Then when they did get together the story skips three months. I missed the development of their love.

I found it to be a nice little story.

This book was awful. In addition to there being almost no plot, what story there was was overshadowed by the fact that the premise is just unbelievable! Really? Everyone (almost) in these guy's lives is gay? As there is no out male MMA fighter yet, there could have been an opportunity to add a "coming out in a macho environment" aspect to the story, but the author decided to oversimplify things instead by assuming that every male character in the book is gay. There are free Jon Wilde books available on Amazon right now but even as an avid reader, I'll pass.

3.5 stars - Anyone who has ever been in a dating rut will appreciate what Jake and Colin experience in this story, having had my own share of bad first dates I could sympathize with each Mr. Wrong they met before finding each other. All in all this was not a bad book, a little slow at the start but as it went on I got more caught up in the story. There are a few typos and some editing issues, but nothing really distracting, I enjoyed it. I received this free from the author.

I really enjoyed this book. The MCs were real and I liked their back story's. i really wasnt in the mood for major angst after the book I finished reading before this one, so was pleasantly surprised to find this was low on the drama. once I've processed everything I've just read in my head I'll be able to say more. but definitely recommended. will read more from the author.

I do love reading M/M. However this book fell short for me. The characters needed more fleshing out, the dialogue was clumsy and clumpy in places and the book could do with a decent editor running through it.

There’s no way to tame a bad boy – you’ll always get burned. But if you have a taste for bad boys, it’s best to find one that had his run and has already been reformed.

This book starts out with heartbreak. As a reader you see it coming as clearly as if you were watching a scary movie and the killer is hiding behind a closed door. I could feel myself wanting to shield my eyes and peer through the small slits between my fingers.

The parallel story telling about young twenty somethings trying to date brings the reader to a state of demoralization. This is a terrible place for a romance reader that loves a happily-ever-after, but it truly makes for an outstanding emotional rebound.

I like how the author points out how in MMA fighting, the key to winning is finding that one moment of opportunity and taking advantage. This theme is also true in both love and life, which is reflected in the love story.

Normally I go for books with the big bad alpha type in it, but when I started reading this book I just couldn't put it down. I wanted so badly to see if Jake and Colin find their HEA. The story in the beginning seems slow, but I like how it shows how hard it is for someone nowadays to find love in the world. Jake and Colin could not be more perfect for each other. When they finally met I was so excited. But when Colin almost let Jake slip through his fingers I almost threw my precious kindle I was so mad at him. (Thankfully I did not do that and instead read on to see if he redeemed himself.) Jon Wilde may be a new author but I will definitely be reading more of their books

I did like it. It was a interesting concept you have MMA fighters who you typically think to be macho dudes getting all the girls to be gay. The only major problem though was the miss pronunciation of the pronouns of the hims and hers that were mixed up in places that I feel like that should not have been and it kind of made me upset because that really took me out of the moment. And even having one of the main characters be referred to as a woman when he clearly is a man didn't make me like it too much more. So while I applaud Mr Wilde for his book writing I do think maybe a little more planning and editing would have made for a better book.

Jake and Colin are very likable and great together. The story was good. I liked seeing the dating disasters before they found each other but they didn't meet until 2/3 of the way into the book. Their story felt rushed. The character development for them both was good but there just wasn't enough of their story together or enough heat. Overall, it was a good book and I would read other books by Jon Wilde.

This was a really cute story. Colin, the MMA Fighter, was a very interesting character and my favorite in the book. You meet him and several other characters along with Jake. Since you meet a lot of different people in this book, I kind of felt like I was missing some background stories. I need to check and see if other books by this author can fill in some of the blanks. If you like a quick read with a sweet male/male love stories and some MMA fighting thrown in, then pick up this book.

This was a sweet angst free read. A couple of things that bothered me is that I would have liked for them to have met sooner and then the book skips ahead several months right after they met and you don't really get to see their romance grow. The fight scenes was really good. I love the dual points of view so that you get inside both heads & know what they are thinking. There also was a HEA.

I got a copy from the author. It was a cute, fast read. I don't have many criticisms, but the for first half or so of the book, it seemed like he used the characters' names in every sentence. It wasn't hard to follow who he was talking about, so I felt the use of names was a little unnecessary and distracting, but I got over it and finished it anyway.

Slow but hurried in the end

You went 50% through the book before Colin and Jake meet. The first half of the book is learning about their breakups and the several blind dates they are forced to endure.

The last half of the book went by with no real details or depth into these characters. It was too slow at the beginning and to rushed at the end for me.

I had a tough time with this one. Between the typos, cliches and outright trite writing, I was at s loss. There was a lot of tell and 'disneyfied' emotions going on with this story that it was barely palatable.
