Hunting for a Mate 1 is book one in the Hunting for a Mate series by Becca Fanning.

Clarissa didn’t know her Great Aunt Liselle very well so she was stunned when she was named in the will. She was given a train ticket to tour Europe. She’d never done anything like this before so she was nervous but this was a once in a lifetime chance.



In Norway she can’t help but notice two very tall, very good looking men. They were obviously shifters and their golden eyes were on her!



Helmet and Sven had been away from their pack for six months, searching for a mate. Helmet was the alpha and Sven his second. They had to find the perfect one or they would disgrace their pack. They had about given up when they saw Clarissa. They board the train with Clarissa and this train ride turns out to be one none of them will forget.



This was a fun, hot story and is a very short, about twenty-two pages. I got it as a free download from Amazon.

The beginning of the book drew me in, and I thought "yes, I found something good here". Unfortunately that was not the case.

Would have loved to get to know the characters a little more before they got intimate with each other. It simply didn't do it for me.

Can't make up my mind?

I really liked how the story began, I was caught immediately and I did like the story.....but..... I would have liked to get a better feel of the characters before they started the "bumping & grinding" don't get me wrong, I love to read erotica but I also want there to be a story with love them or hate them characters. I will be reading the next one just to see if anything develops.

A very quick read. They meet, hop on a train, meet up again and the rest of the book is sex. No getting to know the characters first. The sex is very funny because it is very over the top.

Ok story

This story was on the free list. Good beginning for a story. Wish there had been more explanation from the deceased great aunt. You can assume the story ends in a hea, and read no further which I really like.I liked the story enough to look up the next book.

I will not be continuing the series, $2.99 for 34 pages is a little to much in my book. Especially since the series will not finish with it.

From the very beginning, Hunting for a Mate was captivating. I rated this book with five stars because it’s well written and you’ll appreciate Becca Fanning’s unique style of writing, I fell in love with it. Without giving any spoilers I'll tell you this; her characters: Clarissa, Helmut and Sven are well formed with intense feelings and a red hot passion that can’t be denied. I can’t wait to read other works by Becca Fanning.

Good but not great

This was an okay story. You have two shifters looking for the mate to complete their trinity. Then you have Clarissa being gifted an inheritance of traveling in Norway. The three meet, the sex beginnings soon after, end of story. I do want to find out what happens next, but I am not expecting much.

A very hot, short read that has me begging for more! Clarissa is a young woman that was sent on a trip of a lifetime to spread her wings and find adventure. She found more than that when two super hot shifters find her. They have an immediate connection and I'm looking forward to the next step in their journey!

There was very little story, what was there was not at all believable, so all this book contains is 2 guys on 1 woman sex.

It was ok. As I began reading this authors publications, from her very first through her newest, I could definitely see her story telling improve. Becca Fanning Books keep getting better with each one I read. I read the majority of her publications on Kindle Unlimited.

DNF: Got almost a third into it. Wasn't a bad start, but the writing wasn't the best. Fast paced, but little meat to it to keep me interested long. Maybe I'll try something longer from the author to see if she can flesh things out more passed basic surface stuff.
