Dying Brand is the third book in Allison Campbell series by the ever talented Wendy Tyson. As always the writing is tight, the plot and storyline gripping and keeps the readers guessing till the very end what the mystery is all about. The story starts with the murder of Allison's former lover at the time she was estranged from her husband. This coincides with her getting sexually explicit photos of her with said dead guy. She never told her ex-husband now boyfriend Jason about what happened and ...more

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour for a fair and honest review and rated it 5 out of 5 stars.

A cozy mystery with colorful characters and plenty of suspense, Dying Brand by Wendy Tyson, the third instalment in her Allison Campbell Mystery series, is as tautly written as a thriller and full of deception, betrayal and emotional angst. More focused on main character Allison than the two previous installments, we get a real look at who Allison was and who she is no

Dollycas’s Thoughts

Wendy Tyson just keeps getting better and better! Dying Brand, the 3rd book is this series is the most compelling read of the 3 and the others were excellent.

Alison Campbell is an image consultant working side by side with her friend Vaughn. When a former boyfriend is found dead in one of the most dangerous places in Philadelphia Allison just knows there is more to the story. Especially when some racy photos from her past start arriving at her home and office and to her curren

Dying Brand by Wendy Tyson was a book I wasn’t sure I was going to like but I ended up reading it in one afternoon and loving everything about it. I have read one other book by this author but to be honest I don’t really remember that book. This is the third book in the series but you don’t have to read the other books to understand this one but some of the smaller plot lines might be easier understood if you had read the other two books before this one but you don’t have to read them first. This is a good, taut crime thriller packaged as a cozy mystery. There's nothing wrong with cozy mysteries; I enjoy them as much as anyone. But "Dying Brand" has at its core a sex/crime combo that rivals any offered in conventional thrillers. The writing is first-rate and the pace is fast. I was fascinated by the story and frankly didn't want to tear myself away from the book. The characters are engaging and their lives compelling. Their stories add to the plot rather than compete with it. There

I have read all the books in the Allison Campbell series, and I love them all! Tyson has a way of bringing you into the world and right in the center of the mystery. Dying Brand was no exception. I loved the short and snappy sections of the book, and it made the story seem to fly by. I couldn’t put the book down, especially as I neared the end. There were so many possible suspects in the death of Allison’s ex-boyfriend, and I had trouble deciding who I thought was the rea

This was a great story. So many suspects and not a single reason for the murder of one of Allison's ex client/ex boyfriend. This had suspects and reasons coming out of the woodwork every turn. And, of course, a little romance.
The Allison Campbell series is a good one and one I highly recommend.

Thanks Henery Press and Net Galley for providing me with this free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

Dying Brand Wendy Tyson 4 stars

An unexplained murder; compromising photographs – that’s just the beginning
This is the second in Wendy Tyson’s Allison Campbell series, and although I hadn’t read the first, this works well as a stand-alone novel.
Allison Campbell is Philadelphia’s premier image consultant and part time sleuth. Life is going well for her, she is dating Jason, her ex-husband again, and celebrating an award ceremony for her latest client.

My rating is really 4 1/2 stars but I can't do that here on Goodreads.

I'm really enjoying these mysteries from Wendy Tyson. They are not quite cozy so they aren't overly sweet like some series have become but they aren't hard-boiled. Somewhere in between. I like the tone and style. This series is becoming a comfort read for me.

Allison Campbell is really just recovering from her last outing (I do like the continuity in the series) when she gets a call from the wife of an ex-boyfriend. He's been

“Dying Brand” is the third book in the Allison Campbell Mystery series by Wendy Tyson. The first book in the series “Killer Image” made my list of top Best mystery books for book clubs 2014. I also named Wendy Tyson to my list of Authors who deserve a greater readership – Part 1.

Dying Brand is the third book in the Allison Campbell mystery series. It is a well written and professionally edited full length novel.

Allison Campbell, an image consultant, is surprised to hear that her ex boyfriend has been murdered during an apparent drug deal gone wrong. She is horrified when photos of their love making, that she was not aware of, are mailed to her friends and relatives. With her professional and family relationships endangered, she is determined to investigate the murder.

Claire - The Coffeeholic Bookworm
Just when Allison Campbell thought everything's going fine in her relationship, a terrible news jolted her senses and awoken her long kept secret. Scott Fairweather was dead. Scott, her one-time fling while she and her husband Jason were having marital issues. Years had passed before she heard from him again. And now, Leah, Scott's widow, accused her of having to do with his murder. Could Allison prove her innocence when everything point back to her?

Dying Brand by Wendy Tyson is a great murder
Wendy Tyson's version of suspense gets tighter and more anxiety inducing with each book. In DYING BRAND, we get a clearer picture of who Allison Campbell was when we first met her in KILLER IMAGE. While in the previous novels the mystery/murder is something that Allison stumbles upon in one capacity or another, in DYING BRAND she is personally part of the mystery and that made me even more vested in the outcome. I won't give any spoilers, but Tyson quite literally had me leaning forward to get c ...more

Dying Brand is the third installment in the Alison Campbell mystery series. Wendy Tyson does a great job with character development and allowing the reader to get to know the regulars a bit more in-depth with each book. You also get a bit more insight into Alison's history and family dynamics. This is an intellegently written mystery with clever twists and turns. Just when you think you may have it figured out, there's another unexpected turn. You will not be disappointed!

Although Dying Brand is the third novel in the Allison Campbell Mystery series and is probably best read in order, it can certainly be read as a stand alone novel. If you’re not familiar with the series, let me have the honor of introducing you to these amazingly captivating murder mysteries. Wendy Tyson writes excellent mysteries. That much I know, from reading two of her previous books – Deadly Assets and The Seduction of Miriam Cross. When I picked up Dying Brand, I was not disappointed by the mystery that unravelled within the pages.

From the get go, it’s clear that something isn’t quite adding up in the death of Scott Fairweather. Allison Campbell, Image Consultant (and sometimes sleuth), is pulled into the fray when someone starts sending her photos of her in the midst of a heat

For a moment, think about a mistake from your past. Not just a little error, but a big misstep that you would give just about anything to erase. For Allison Campbell, a past relationship is that mistake and in Dying Brand, the third in Wendy Tyson's smart and suspenseful series, that mistake from her past is coming back to haunt Allison's present . . . and derail her future.

Dying Brand begins with what should have been a night of celebration for Allison and a young friend. But a phone call from

I haven't read the first two books of the series. That made a little difference. Several events of the past are referenced in this book, and though they have no direct bearing to the events this go around, a familiarity with the previous books would have been good for a smooth reading experience.

That being said, the mystery of this book was quite good. I did guess a part, but not the entire piece. I also didn't know the why of it. The characters have a complex personal life, and it's sometimes

This third book of Allison Campbell is all about relationships. We get to see more of Allison's past,
with her sisters, Jason and even a lover. We see Vaughn's relationship with Mia and Jamie. Lots of connections.

Allison gets a phone call telling her Scott a old flame was murdered. Then she gets naked pictures of her and Scott in the mail. In Scott calendar he had Allison down for a meeting the day he died.

Dying Brand by author Wendy Tyson is the third book in the Allison Campbell Mystery series. Wendy is a new-to-me author and this is obviously the first book I've read in the series.
