Sarah Morgan delivers again!

As expected, Some Kind of Wonderful packs an emotional punch that Sarah Morgan is known for. Her two main characters are both flawed and had some growing to do and as the reader, I was swept away by their individual journey and as a couple.

Some of Kind of Wonderful is a story about two people in love but are too immature to sustain that love. There was no doubt that Zachary and Brittany are made for each other but the first time they got together wasn't right. They we

Ok, I loved it.

Of course I loved it.

It's Sarah Morgan and I'm yet to read a book of hers that I don't absolutely adore. And every time I finish one of her books I pre-order the next one.

Some Kind of Wonderful is a perfect summer read that has all of the right ingredients mixed together to create this amazing series. I want to go to Puffin Island so bad. I think I want to go there more than Snow Crystal. Because these whole communities that

description It’s important to let good people into your life.”

I admit I was a little wary going into this as Sarah Morgan used a similar second chance scenario in Holiday in the Hamptons which came a couple of years after this series and sadly was a huge fail for me. And if I’d read this beforehand it would have been even more so as she worked all her magic on Brittany and Zach and I loved them together. Couple of things felt unfinished but all in all another winner. Can’t stop, Sky and Alec are calling

Song for summary: What If I Never Get Over You by Lady Antebellum

A captivating read! The characters are altruistic, contributive, reticent, and valiant while the plot is a nostalgic return to the beautiful seaside of Puffin Island. Full of compassion, friendship, heartache, picturesque backdrops, troubled pasts, and the whirlwind that comes from one's first love, Sarah Morgan delivers another enchanting story that shows just how chaotic life can get when the one that got away returns.

5 - "What happened in the past wasn't your fault. What happens in the future is your decision." Stars!

Sarah Morgan’s Puffin Island series just goes from strength to strength with its latest instalment. Second chance love is one of my absolute favourites and this has to be one of the best telling’s of that tale I have read in quite some time. I think it is due to the depth and breadth of backstory and personality that Sarah manages to give her characters without clogging up the flow of the overal

I have put this off long enough.

I did not love this book the way I wanted to, and I am so bummed out about that. I just couldn't connect to the characters (or even the writing and that was the most wtf thing in the world, but it just felt so weirdly repetitious?) and their relationship, and ugh, I am just so sad about this.

I'm still sort of hopeful about the next one because I like that dynamic a lot, but yeah. I'm sad.

A decade ago, good girl and Puffin Islander Brittany Forrest thought that bad boy Zach Flynn was the answer to her adventure dream. He was her first and being in love as well, Brittany asked Zach to get married. Only ten days later, that dream shattered when Zach walked out on her. Now, Brittany is back to Puffin Island after an accident broke her wrist. Unfortunately, Zach is too. Now no matter how Brittany says that it's all over between her and Zach, the intense emotions between them is not s ...more

Some Kind of Wonderful is one of the books that I took on holiday to Devon and it was perfect summer reading.

It's Book Two in the Puffin Island trilogy (I haven't read Book One yet*) but can be read as a stand alone.

The characters, the setting, the community and Sarah Morgan's writing style made this a romance that really worked for me.

Zach is your typical wounded and brooding male lead. Beginning as it does with his childhood background, the reader empat

I'm really looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks about this book because I can't tell if the problem is me or the book. I did put it down for several weeks, which didn't do the book any favors, but I just didn't totally feel it. I thought Zach's transformation at the end happened too quickly. I didn't really buy it. (I did like the bone of his story, though. I can relate a lot to feeling like you don't care, even though the evidence says otherwise. Maybe that relation is why the b ...more

Well, dayumn! If I thought that the first book in the Puffin Island trilogy was absolutely fantastic, then the second book was just perfect in every sense of the word. I'll be honest, there are a ton of Sarah Morgan's book that I still need to read but so far, the Puffin Island trilogy has won me over completely and we're only onto the second book. One thing I've come to recognise though, is that Sarah Morgan never,

Really enjoying the Puffin Island series. This book felt like it had a bit more depth to the characters than book #1. Zach had a lot of baggage to overcome, and while it took some time for him to get to the point where he could admit to himself and Brit just what it was he felt for her, the process didn't seem tedious or like overkill as some other authors tend to do because they drag a storyline out.

I only discovered Sarah Morgan's books about a year ago and have liked each one I've read since

I was gripped by Zach's story right from the first chapter, where we see a very small insight into his childhood, and what he has been through, and how it has turned him into the man he is today. I think during that first chapter I fell just a little bit in love with Zach, despite remembering a small bit about him from the first book in this trilogy.

Some Kind of Wonderful is about the complicated relationship between Zach and Brittany. They had a very short lived marriage when they we

I was eagerly awaiting the publication of 'Some Kind of Wonderful', the second installment of the Puffin Island series from Sarah Morgan, having loved the first story. And, phew, this book was certainly worth the anticipation and I devoured it in one sitting.

After breaking her wrist on an archaeological dig, Brittany returns to Puffin Island to recuperate, but is faced with the surprise return of her ex-husband, Zach to the island. Married for just a matter of weeks over 10 years ago, Brittany w

Sarah Morgan’s second in her Puffin Island series, Some Kind of Wonderful is a breath-stealing second chance romance. Reintroducing fans to her unpredictable, funny, intense and heartbreaking too young heroine and too damaged hero to appreciate the extraordinarily powerful love they accidentally discovered 10 years before. And now brings them kicking and screaming back together, wringing every emotion out of them while kindly inviting her readers along for the ride. Her tight-knit, idyllic/meddl ...more

Some Kind of Wonderful continues the tale of the three friends - Emily, Brittany and Skylar - and their love interests on Puffin Island. This book is the turn of Brittany and Zach and their tumultuous relationship. Ten years previously they married but Zach disappeared a few days later. He has had a very abusive childhood and can't get past that in order to trust people. Brittany, on the other hand, grew up on Puffin Island, secure in her grandmother's love and that of her friends, so she trusts ...more

What a great return to Puffin Island. Brittany returns after breaking her wrist on an archaeological dig. Unfortunately she finds that the pilot flying her home is her ex husband who walked out on her after 10 days. She tries to give him the impression that she's moved on and he has no effect on her- but the more time they spend together, the more the early spark they shared tries to reignite itself.

He has trouble letting his feelings go because he had a very troubled childhood and Brittany wond

So the hero and heroine were married for a hot minute but the hero walked away. They both were young and didn't know each other so well. Fast forward a decade later and the hero and heroine land up in her hometown the same time. Now, I thought this book would be a true angst fest but sadly it was meh!The heroine just decided to jump the hero, then she loves him, I just couldn't swallow what the book was selling and normally I love SM and her books. This may just be a case of not for me.

I wanted to continue with the Puffin Island series immediately after reading "First time in forever" and now its another year gone and I am asking myself why I waited so long.

I definitely enjoyed "Some kind of wonderful" but I had some difficulties with the couple. They were nice characters and both interesting in their own way but they didn't really work as a couple for me. They did have a great chemistry but they were also a bit annoying with their constant denial of their feelings. Still it w

Brittany Forrest has broken her wrist while on an archaeological dig so has returned home to Puffin bay to recuperate.
But she doesn't know her ex husband is also now living there too!
Sparks and passions fly but behind the lust there is a deeper reason why she and Zach got divorced but can they make it work second time around?
A lovely, whimsical summer romance with a huge feel good factor.

This is the second book in Morgan's Puffin Series and finally we get the low down on what happened with Brittany and Zachary.

These two dated and rushed into marriage. 10 days after being married Zach leaves Brittany with a note and they haven't spoken in 10 years. Now Zach is back and while they do have some unfinished business to sort out love is still in the air.

Another excellent read by Sarah Morgan. I enjoyed learning the back story of Brittany and Zach's relationship and how their past experiences shape who they are today. How Zach is with children and animals was lovely to read and he's such a more than you can first see character. I like how he found something he loved doing in flying. The funniest parts in the book were when the island took pity on Brit then Zach giving them a Casserole neither liked the pity it showed how well suited they are. I ...more

The Puffin Island follows the stories of 3 friends; Emily, Brittany and Skylar and are set on Puffin Island in Maine, focusing on the women's stories and the community there. This book follows immediately on from Book 1 and is Brittany's story.

Brittany returns from her archaeological dig in Greece and the first person she runs into is her ex-husband Zach. Zach ran out on their 10 day old marriage when they were both 18. 10 years have now passed since then. Zach first came to Puffin Island to at

I liked this one better than Emily’s book. This is more of a 3.5, nothing is really outstanding but I guess I’m just a sucker for second chance stories.

I won’t summarise the book since other reviewers have already done so. What I liked about this one was that the Hero Zach, really was caring towards Brittany. It showed in all his actions, even if he couldn’t say the words and if he couldn’t make a commitment.

Brittany herself was a very loving and open person, the only one who could melt the her

I've been reading numerous Morgan books over the last few months and this is easily my favorite from her. This is the perfect mixture of sexual chemistry and emotion. I adored Brittany and her willingness to love so completely. Zach is complicated, but I devoured the torture of this slow burn romance. I want to go back and read the spin-off series just to catch a glimpse of Zach/Britt.
