Once a playboy, Alexander Drako is now the happy father of three and eager to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special party held on Friday night to accommodate his nocturnal vampire friends. Everything is ready except for a small detail. Alexander has forgotten to buy the roses and orchids for his beloved Ravenna. Unable to disappoint her, and accompanied by his loyal friends, Marcus and Samuel, he sets out for Wolf’s Haven, a rehab center for paranormals, hoping to find some flowers left for sale in their greenhouse.
After a honeymoon around the world that lasted half a year, Peter and Ophelia have just landed back in Rome. While he would like to relax in their apartment, Ophelia is eager to see her friends. Most of all, she can’t wait to hug Quintilius, her adoptive father.

Ophelia’s call reaches Quintilius at Wolf’s Haven, where he’s volunteering, and he rejoices at finally seeing her again. However, he isn’t thrilled to see Peter, the man who stole the heart of his little princess. A sudden crisis at the rehab center forces Quintilius to focus his thoughts and energies on looking for Luisa, a girl who’s run away with a dangerous gang member.

By fate’s design, all the friends have reunited at Wolf’s Haven and agreed to help Quintilius in his quest. Will they be able to save the girl and return to their loved ones in time to celebrate Valentine’s Day?

Amazing....beautiful.....

As always I love this series and monica doesn't disappoint with this installment. I loved seeing everyone with their life mates and a glimpse into their lives. It was also great to meet Raphael and Louisa. I look forward to the next craziness of the next book. The author had me crying at the end for Samuel and Martina.

Alexander Drako may have been a playboy once, but now he is a doting father of three. There is a=to be a nighttime special party for Valentine's Day but he forgot the flowers that Ravenna wants to decorate. So he joins with friends Marcus and Samuel to go to paranormal rehab centre Wolf's Haven to get flowers from their greenhouse that have not been sold. Peter and Ophelia are back from their year-long honeymoon and she is eager to see adoptive father Quintilius who is volunteering at Wolf's Haven so they rush over there. Quintilius is not happy to see Peter as he stole his princess from him. However, they all focus on a crisis at the centre trying to find missing teenager Luisa, a girl who’s run away with a dangerous gang member. Will they be able to find the missing girl and make it back for the party?

I enjoyed this story which had lots of danger, drama and excitement all mixed into a soup of emotions and feelings experienced by the characters. I loved seeing Quintilius and Peter work together and find a way to resolve their differences. It was interesting to see how these strong men had turned to putty as soon as they found love with their women and subsequent offspring. Very enjoyable.

A lovely romantic tale with some action to keep it interesting

I do love reading Ms. la Porta's Immortal world stories, the background being set in Rome, a place on my bucket list to visit. And the immortals bringing the past into the present with their moral codes of old, warriors of an ancient Europe. Plus shifters, vamps and Angels and demons it's got everything I love to read about in one fabulous package.

Ms La Porta has a good writing style, descriptive and emotional, bringing the characters alive and their friendships between their collective group has a lovely familial feel to it. If you haven't tried this series, I would highly recommend it.

An enjoyable tale of Valentine's Day in Rome but with a twist. I enjoyed the action side of what was essentially a romantic novel. Plenty of banter between our Immortal friends, with intrigue and adventure along the way.

This is the 5th book in the Immortals Series by Monica La Porta. And I got to hand it to her - each of her books get so much better than the last one. You wouldn't think that could be possible,it is. This book is so magnificent there is so much action going on that before you know it you are at the end of the book. And left wanting more of the immortals.
As our story starts out we find Quintilius at the Reserve helping out with getting the flowers ready for valentine' days. This is a rehab center that is model after the humans - they have everything they need and more. They work, eat and sleep. they take in teens who are coming off of vampire blood ( its a drug to the were's) Now Quintilius daughter, Ophelia has fallen in love with a demon, Peter- he doesn't like it but he finally accepts it. Now Ravenna and Alexander are planning a Valentine's Day party. She reminds her husband that they need flower arrangements. And he has waited to the last minute to get them. Marcus decides to help him go to the reserve to pick up the flowers but before they go he has to make sure that his life make Diana and son Daniel are safe. So he make sure that all the widows are locks are the alarms are on the walks around the house, When Alexander picks up Marcus they go next to pick up Samuel. Forgetting about the flowers for the party until the last minute sends Alexander into a frenzy, causing him to enlist Samuel and Marcus to help him. Off they head to the Reserve, a rehab center, to meet Quintilius and pick up barrels of flowers. I love the banter between these guys; there are many LOL moments throughout this book. This story also highlights the changes in these men, and just how much their wives and families mean to them. Meanwhile, just returned, Peter and Ophelia meet them there. While they're there, information comes in that one of the young girls, Louisa, is missing from rehab, so Peter, despite Quintilius' disapproval, goes with guys to track her down while Ophelia heads off to help with the party. Turns out this is not an easy task. Louisa has run away to her gang member boyfriend, Raphael. Laden with adventure along the way, this exceptionally well-written short story packs it all in, following only the guys in their attempt to quickly solve this and get back in time for the party and to their women. I melted at the glimpses into what was happening with the families now, and how family life got the men thinking differently about Louisa and Raphael's story. Monica La Porta's writing has brought these Immortals to life and, with each book, I fall a little deeper in love. With Caelum's help, the men try to trace the couple's steps. Yum, Caelum...something is up there...and I can't wait to find out what! All I can say is thank you, Monica, this was the perfect Valentine's Day story. Hands down, loved it!

And the boys are back in the fifth instalment of The Immortals series, by Monica La Porta. All the beloved characters come together again to help two young renegades in trouble. My beloved Marcus shows us again his deep commitment to what he believes in. Darling Alexander's transformation from Playboy to family man is portrayed so brilliantly by the author. The exquisite Fallen angel that is Samuel makes my heart flutter when during all the turmoil, his thoughts are still filled with love for his Martina. Peter the sublime and misunderstood demon gives us food for thought by his actions. And marvellous Quintilius with all his strength and responsibility, harbours a sensitive and lonely soul. We also meet Raphael and Louisa, the new kids on the block. Totally and hopelessly in love, defying all the odds against them to survive, no matter what. I appreciated the fact that the women were allowed a back bench in this novella. The spotlight was all on the men and rightly so, since we can have a better perception of their depth of character. Ms. La Porta, you have outdone yourself. To all the avid readers out there, if you haven't started this series, I urge you to grab a copy of The Lost Centurion and meet Marcus and see where it all started. To Monica La Porta.... After reading till the very end..... a Thank you will never be enough.

An Immortal Valentine's Day combined all the heroes from the previous books in the Immortal Series into one fun adventure. Alexander, Samuel, Marcus, and Peter jump at the chance to help out Quintilius when one of his werewolves goes missing. They discover that her and her boyfriend are in some serious trouble. The group sets off to save them before it's too late. Will they be able to save them in time and return to their loved ones before Valentine's Day?

I really enjoyed seeing all the characters together. Who wouldn't want a chance to read about these sexy heroes again? Their banter was fun. The story really shows the comradeship that the characters have with each other and their sweet side. The story also gives a hint as to what the next book will bring.
I can't wait for more and I was glad for this novelette to show us where all the characters are and what's all happened so far.

I received this for a honest review. The author did a good job writing the book and the narrator was great as well.

This book has a little of everything from angles, shifters, vampires, warlocks, and demons. A group of friends will have to come together to find a missing girl and her boyfriend. They find that the young couple might be in some serious danger. Can they get to them in time?

Quintilius will have to except that his daughter is in love with a demon. He finds this very hard to deal with. Will he ever be able to except his daughter’s chose.

This is a book about Valentines day. So the men are having to make sure their women are happy. Those theses men are different as far as their abilities and what they are but the one thing they have in common is they love they have for their mates. They also love their kids.

This is the second book I have read in The Immortals series, and although this is book 5 of the series I did not feel like I absolutely had to go back and read all of the others to make sense of this story. I like reading books that are tied together by overlapping characters, but they are always more special when you do not have to read them in order to enjoy them. I will probably go back and pick up some of the other books in this series, but only because I have enjoyed the 2 that I have read and not because I need to get them to fill in gaps. I will be looking to enjoy more books from this author in the future!

JUST A PERFECT VALENTINES DAY READ...

Romance at its finest. What more could you want on that special day? You will have to guess because I won't tell you! Things like this could only happen in the paranormal world, or maybe not...

I am happy again to recommend this book along with the series. Author, Monica LaPorta does a great job balancing all the elements of her books. There are plots within plots that will keep you reading. I can't wait to get to the next book. So, off I go to read the next book of "The Immortals" series by Author, Monica LaPorta.

KUDOS Ms. LaPorta on another tale well told.

Another slam-dunk my Ms La Porta! I'll say upfront I'm a fan of this author's Immortal series and I was excited to read this little novella. It's a wonderful addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well written, good storyline, hot men - who could ask for more? I particularly liked the end with Samuel - priceless and heartwarming. Thank you, once again, Ms La Porta for giving me a story I loved!

I'm a massive fan of the author's previous series set in the dystopian world of Pax, but in her Immortal series, Miss La Porta skillfully blends demons, angels, vampires and other immortals with our own world, creating original romances that are a breath of fresh air. Vivid character descriptions kept me turning pages long into the night as this beautifully written novella took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Highly recommended, cannot wait for the next in series.

Happy Valentine's Day

This was one of the best books I've ever read on a Valentine day!
I had a little trouble with the different characters, I think that there was another book that told of them. But the story line was very good and I loved the way the friends got along. You could tell they were caring for each other and other beings. This was a very good read.

Of all the books in this series, this was one I had the most difficulty getting through. I don't know why as all the characters were in this book as well
