OMG this is soooo Jessa Kane – but I had a hilarious problem with this one.
Billie Prosper (18, virgin) learns her family is in debt and might lose their farm to the grumpy rancher on the hill. The only thing she has of value is her virginity, so she starts up the mountain to make a trade.
Knox Morgan (35, millionaire rancher) likes living alone simply because he hates people. Despite her sexiness, he doesn’t have any interest in taking her up on what she’s offering.
A tempting taste, a ridiculous rescue, a jackass, an apology, and then an HEA.
There’s a good Daddy kink, plus a breeding kink. I was here for all of it.
Oh, I also liked Billie because she did the exact same things I would have done.
ISSUE: Now y’all know I love JK, and I’m very lenient in all of her fics, but COME ON!!!! Even though this doesn’t really affect the story, I’ll still put it under spoiler.

Jessa Kane shorts are always good for me though this one felt a little sweeter and less dirty than some of the really dirty ones I love. (Don't worry, it still has some good dirty heat tho! lol) I liked the heroine's attitude in this one, and how she wouldn't give up on the cranky hero. Very mild Daddy talk... I think... so mild I don't even really remember if it existed or not. But age gap, virgin h, insta, yadda yadda.

I don't know how to feel about this one. It's not my favorite.
I waited a few days to start it and it was interesting but the conflict that they had towards the end didn't sit well with me. Also, he was the type of mean that would turn everyone off. Billie was likeable but very naive. Knox was misunderstood in a way that drew Billie on more and more. Their relationship was fine I guess.

Holy hotness! Will definitely be reading again. In my top 5 Jessa Kane novellas! Jessa never disappoints, but this one felt like so much more than 90 pages in a good way!
Billie is a naive 18, almost 19 year old that lives on a ranch with her Parents. Billie isn’t well versed in the opposite sex, but judging by the way the ranch hands look at her she thinks she’s at least a little attractive (5’2”, bright blue eyes, long brown hair).
Billie overhears her Parents one night worried about losing their ranch. They owe their new landlord about $30,000. Billie thinks about how she hears crude comments about herself from the ranch hands and thinks maybe she can buy her family some time/pay off their debt by offering her virginity to the landlord.
Billie rides up the mountain one day to proposition Knox Morgan. She shows up in skin tight jeans, a white tank top with no bra, and cowboy boots.
Knox is freaking out because he likes to be alone, but he has been watching Billie from his house with binoculars. Now seeing her up close he is embarrassed and hoes she���s at least 18. Knox likes to be alone because he was abandoned or sold out by everyone important in his life. His made family let him take the fall for trying to collect a debt and he did prison time. Knox made his fortune by gambling on a riverboat casino. He’s 35 years old, tall, dark, and rugged.
Knox actually greeted Billie with a gun (unloaded)
Billie doesn’t bat an eye and goes into Knox’s house uninvited and takes her shirt off. Knox is practically drooling, but she mistakes his control as disinterest.
Billie and Knox end up kissing and he freaks out because she makes him feel. He declines her offer, but watches over her. He sees a ranch hands following Billie and at first he thinks maybe it’s a secret rendezvous, but sees that this man has bad intentions and kills him.
Knox said he will take Billie’s offer, but he wants her for a week and he wants to be called Daddy.
She gets too close, he hurts her and she never wants to see him again. He shows up to her 19th birthday dinner that he was previously invited to with the deed to her farm and a mare she had been wanting.
She moves in with him that night and she is already pregnant.

I’ve only read one book from this author and was not a fan. That’s not a fair judgement of an author’s work so I picked up another one and boy and I glad I did. This novella was on the same tier as my favorite B. Sobjakken and QB Tyler novellas. We got a tiny bit of plot, tons of character growth and the spice was off the charts. The FMC was sassy and sure of herself and the MMC is rough around the edges but one that’s only soft for her.

This was a spicy quick read. I got sent a notification of this release in JK newsletter, saying that this was her favorite title she has come up with, and I have to say it is perfectly fitting for this story. The Dd/lg aspect worked really well for them. Their love story was obviously unconventional, but I felt like the writing really sold it. I had some issues with typos and errors, which is why I could not give this 5 stars.

Another absolutely OTT story by JK and I love it! Knox is grumpy, crude and plain mean. Our FMC is sweet, innocent and a spitfire. I loved how they came together and achieved their HEA. This is definitely one of my favorites. Well done JK for another love story and lots of spice.

I always know it's going to be a gpodnday when I see a new release by Jessa Kane. ThIs book is sweet and sexy. 4 stars for the spice. Daddy Knox was all big and tough until his sweet little girl brings him to his knees. Loved every second of it.

Jessa just has the secret sauce and knows how to put it into every novella she writes. This just shows what the love of a good woman can do. I couldn't help but love Knox, and he so gloriously got knocked on his behind in the best way possible. Just the cutest with a perfect epilogue.

She always knows how to put so much sexiness and chemistry into short story! I eat it up every time.
Just wish lowkey it was longer. Some things were brushed over. We don’t hear much about the MC’s life and some things are left unanswered. I also would’ve loved to see the interaction with their kid before they did the deed at the end lol

Spicy, classic Jessa
I’m a huge fan of Jessa Kane. Her books get right to the spice and everything not so nice. The entire time you are rooting for the characters. Easy to read, lots of spice that makes you squirm in your seat. I look forward to the next book!

I don’t think I’ve ever read a cruel MMC in a Jessa Kane book before. I did not like it. Knox is a jerk to the FMC Billie for almost the entire book. Two stars because the dirty talk was still top notch and the HEA was good. But the rest of the book was underwhelming and mean.

One must suspend belief for JK stories, but the complete absence of cleaning up a crime scene and getting away with public murder really takes the cake. I still read it all, which says something, but I didn’t have the same level of enjoyment I usually do with this one.
