There was an attack, a gun, a deserted Russian road, and phone call.
The Salerno Organization was attacked. Carterina was taken, and despite their best efforts, she was not saved.
Taken … Carter was taken, and she could possibly be carrying his child.
Seven days, and still no Carterina … Seven days later, and Nathan still had no idea where his wife was.

To what lengths would a man go to get back the love of his life? Well if you’re Nathan Salerno, you’ll shake up the entire criminal underworld…

The love of his life has been taken, and imprisoned by none other than the man that killed his beloved mother, and after days of searching for his wife with no results, Nathan Salerno has finally reached his breaking point. Strategy, and patience have been abandoned and Nathan has chosen to embraced insanity. No one is safe from the hell that he has bestowed upon the underworld, and he has no plans of stopping until Carterina is returned to him safely.

But when an unexpected twist takes Nathan by surprise and brings the war to an abrupt stop, Nathan is faced with new challenges, a sudden change of direction, and the shock of a lifetime …

Carterina Salerno is stunned. Frozen in time, and unable to move. All she remembers was being brought to the castle, being locked in a room for four days, and then she was here … completely immobile, and staring into a pair of hazel-green eyes identical to her own. Even as the sound of her biological father’s yelling drew closer, she stood still… Who is he? Where did he come from? And, why the hell does he look so much … like me?

The action-packed love story of a Mafia boss’s son and a hit-man’s daughter has finally reached the point where things come full circle. Lingering Question are finally answered, hidden secrets are revealed, new journeys are embarked upon, and new romances are on the horizon. The size of TWO full length novels, Dangerous Beauty Part Three: This is War is packed with action, romance, humor, and jaw-dropping drama that will surely keep you on the edge of your seat.

Nathan and Carter’s saga comes to an epic, and beautiful end in book three of the Dangerous Beauty Series. Nathan’s ascension to power hits a new height while Carter’s own rise to power just begins. With all of their new responsibility both at work and at home, Nathan and Carter work together to try and find a balance, while simultaneously fighting an unpredictable war with the relentless and clinically insane, Silas Steele.

Epic Finale!

Fans of the Dangerous Beauty series, you will not be disappointed! This is a sprawling conclusion to the badass, knife-wielding mafia princess known as Carterina Stone Salerno. Clear your schedule, find a cozy spot, grab a mug of something warm or a glass (or two) of your favorite grape, and get ready to immerse yourself into the world of the Salernos, Stones, and Steeles.

I could very easily summarize this book for you which I will not do because you must read and experience for yourself. Questions that were left lingering or unanswered in the first two volumes, will finally be revealed in this sprawling series that literally spans the globe. New characters will be introduced and old ones pop up to incite more drama. Michelle Hardin encompasses everything that we know and love about a good mafia saga:

· Daring escapes
· Dashing rescues
· Plot twists
· Murder
· Revenge
· Turf wars
· Alliances
· Concessions
· Romance and passion
· Family
· Loyalty
· Babies!

This is not a stand alone read. I strongly suggest you begin with Dangerous Beauty 1, then read Book 2, and finally dive into this one. Your feels will definitely be challenged in this one because there is truly something for everyone!

OMG! Warning: This book will cause you to have a book hangover of epic proportion! Michelle Hardin has a way with words that just sucks me into the Salerno/Stone/Steele world and makes me never want to leave! I was devastated when I finished the book, because that meant I'd have to leave their world till she comes out with another one. I love reading and this book was so good it just might have ruined me for all other books for a while. Warn your family that you will be MIA, call in at work, because once you start it you will not want to put it down. If you're a fan of the series, I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Ms. Michelle Hardin did her thang with this one!

4.5 Stars. So let me just point out that I started this book Saturday and finished the same day. It felt like I waited for this book forever!

Likes: I liked how Spook turned out to be alive. That was an OMG YAASSS moment for me. I love how Carter involved more females once she became the Mob Boss of the Unione Corse. Maksim and Alex were ADORABLE. Gabriel was on point with his jokes - hilarious! Of course the romance between Carter and Nathan...oh my god. The fight scenes had me so giddy and when Carter gave that speech to Shadow I was like "Holy crap, this girl is not playing!" Nathan putting the Bonaduccis in their place was also a highlight for me. Throughout the book I kept asking myself why they were still alive.

Dislikes: I kind of don't understand how Carter, Ana and Gabriel could just forgive Silas. It seemed like it was just a way to wrap up the story. The whole thing with Aniyah (at the end) was random too. I was left wondering what happened to some of the characters (Carter's friends: Tamara, Melanie, Matthew etc.) It would've been nice to also hear what happened to Jenna too.

Overall, the book was very good end to an amazing series and although I knew that Carter, Nathan and her babies would make it out alive, this book kept me on my seat.

Awwww Dangerous Lovable

Absolutely love the book. I truly did. My only drawback was that it had a lot of unnecessary fillers!! I understand where she was going but I was like ok this is just to much dialogue. Nathan and Carter will always be one of my favorite couples. I was hoping that Lucca, Mickey, and Kyle found love. I'm happy for Ana. She finally found love. I think Silas is trying to redeem himself. He just don't know how to go about it the right way. And I'm glad Carter chewed his butt out.

Book 3 was epic for real. I got closure on all my unanswered questions regarding Carter and Nathan and their parents history, including all the originals. I really enjoyed the read.

I am looking forward to the standalone stories for the other 3 guys to find love. Looking forward to Isabella's story too.

I really enjoyed the conclusion to Carter and Nathan's story.

Fun conclusion

This installment is definitely long, but is very worth it. When I first read it I thought it could have used editing to shorten it (besides grammar), but now I’m glad that didn’t happen. Check out Kyle’s story and you’ll get why. Happy reading!

Let me start off by saying I ABSOLUTELY loved book 1 & 2 and I was stalking Michelle for book 3 - it was that good.

So when I started reading This is War,I seemed to lose my interest a bit as it starts off with Anastacia & Cesare's history, when Anastacia was 21. Then Chapter 1 starts off with what happened in book 1 with Robert and the attack, only chapter 2 starts off with where book 2 left off. I felt that this book should have started where book 2 left off. The prologue and Chapter 1 should have been incorporated elsewhere in the book appropriately - here a good editor would have been great. A little bit more attention to proof reading and grammar was needed during the editing of this book as well.

The writing style throughout the series is excellent and is full of details that you can "see" what Michelle wants you to, the dialogue is smart, funny and engaging, it was well paced but book three does tend to drag on in places.

I felt that Anastacia and Carter where way too mellow, in previous books they where these strong, tough, scary women, that no one took chances with them, they where feared as well as respected but in this book they came across as soft and sappy, I will even go so far as to say harmless. I kept waiting to see when they where going to revert back to their true form but sadly that was not to be. I understand that motherhood softens you a bit but they where like putty, way too sappy with all the " I love you's" going on in this book was a bit OTT and at times annoying.

All the secondary characters are as engaging as in previous books and their contribution to the story was well developed. I would have liked to see Dante and Gabriel's relationship develop a little bit more. We where only given bits and pieces which was a crime!!!. I hope Michelle plans on stand alone books of the other 4 brothers.

Michelle has not been afraid to show us the hardcore/brutal side of mafia life in previous books and I loved that as it was done very tastefully and it was well written. This book was lacking in action - except for the end. This book was too mellow with the action.

My overall opinion of this book - it was good not great as book 1 & 2 but still well worth the effort to read it.

Finished!!!

Here is the deal because I like to keep it real ( Okay Carter and her damn Dr. Seuss moment rubbed off)... Okay okay seriously... I honest think I enjoyed this book the most out of all three. These books are interesting because something happened that I honestly wasn't expecting when it comes to "Mafia type books".. I laughed, A LOT. I found Nathan and the five refreshing funny.. yet they all still knew how to kick ass and get all alpha male at the snap of a finger. Carter is a hoot also... I think it was easy to fall in love with her characters because she has... "issues" actually she provided something that everyone could relate too... be it simply because she is a mother, a wife, a nurturer,a friend, insane, crazy.. moments of blankness etc... she has at least one quality that will draw you into her character.

Now.. the clusterfluck (Please note that fluck should be replaced with... you know) of drama is at times overwhelming and gave me a headache from time to time, yet wasn't bad enough for me to quit. I think this is the first time that I actually want to read a story about the other characters... I am particularly interested in Kyle, Miliko and Dante... I think I may have saw something related to kyle's story soon (Gotta double check that). I also want to know about Angelo.. I would like to see him fall in love... and keep it honestly.

SN: I laughed extremely hard after the who interaction with Matthew at that hotel and Nathan was like "Uh.. Matthew, um don't forget we will bring the snacks this time".. I literally bursted out laughing because I was not at all expecting that from that scene. It was perfect

I have so much more to say but that would make this review hella long.. and ain't nobody got time for that so.. these books were great and of course I will be telling my peeps all about them.

Signing off.. Loved it!

Oh and if I had to pick a character for carter it would be Logan Browning in my head and Nathan would be Heath Hutchins

I loved visiting with Nathan and Carterina. In book three everything seems to come full circle. When we meet up with The Salerno's in This is War, Carter has been kidnapped and Nathan is going crazy trying to find her. While being held captive, family secrets are revealed, that changes Carter's life forever. Nathan and Carter will find themselves in the fight of their life to protect the ones they love and preserve the family they've built together.
Carter finally gets answers to questions about her background which leads to the drama we love. Nathan is always by her side being her protector, defender, and biggest supporter. Nathan has his own issues with coming to terms about things he finds out about his mom, and of course Carter is there to soothe him when he feels troubled. I just love the chemistry between these two. If you look up the definition of soul mates, Nathan and Carter's picture will be right there. I just love the way one minute they are hardcore killers, and the next they are your normal couple in love who can't get enough of each other. Some parts of the story may have been a little drawn out, but I still enjoyed it very much. Thank you Ms. Hardin for another Dangerous Beauty book. I really hope this isn't the end of this series. Please give me more Nathan and Carter, maybe stories about the other characters too.

I was basically bullied into reading this book by one of my reading buddies, lol. I must admit that, although I didn't love it as much as she (and a lot of reviewers) did, I'm glad I read it. It was good.

The premise of the series was a really good one, but the execution fell a little flat, IMO. There were just way too many drawn out scenes and other storylines that bogged down the book, and didn't really add anything to Carter and Nathan's story. And don't get me started on all the errors. There were just way too many missing and incorrectly used words, etc., to count. The author has great storytelling skills. I'd love to see her work with a great editor who will streamline her work and take care of the errors.

It may not sound like it, but I enjoyed the series. While there was a lot of intrigue, violence, and insanity, there was also lots of love, great characters, and redemption. And the cutest kids you've ever seen! I don't know about you, but I was completely and totally shocked by who the bad guy was. Great job at building the suspense.

I will say that this is a great job for this to be the author's first offering. I really hope that Ms. Hardin gets a good editor to help take things to the next level. Having said that, guess who's eagerly awaiting Kyle's story? Yep, this girl right here!

A Long, long story
Nathan and Carter's relationship was good, funny, and exciting. They're a great couple to read about and after reading book 3 of this series (which had a lot of grammatical errors) you can kind of understand why Carter is crazy after reading about her parents because they're both nuts. It was hard to know who Ana was with, Cesare or Angelo (which I couldn't understand why either one of them would want her after they both had her) or why Robert would, (Spook was such a derogatory name for him, I can say kudos to Ana for not calling him that) it was very confusing with all that back and forth. The French Mafia, no reason for that and all of Carter's girlfriends or whatever didn't need to be there either. It was a lot going on in this book, a lot of back and forth which dragged the story out making it way too long. The war I had trouble believing that Nathan & Carter can fight a war with only a few of their people and Silas's "family" which seemed to be an army, were all defeated and not one of Nathan's people were hurt...really? Even in the best of wars both sides suffer casualties...that was pure fantasy...Carter with all this skill to manipulate people or hold them enthralled.. that was entertaining. I think if you're going to incorporate a story around the Mafia you should at least include some facts where that lifestyle is concerned and I have my doubts that Carter would have just walked into a family of that magnitude and been so wonderfully received. Wish that we lived in that kind of world.

Ready for Lucca, Dante and Mikilo's books please!!!

I cannot believe that I never reviewed this book after reading this series multiple times! Where were my antennas? Where do I begin? Miss Hardin has written a wonderfully crafted series, truly enjoyed Carter and Nathan's journey in love, life lessons, family, work, crime, punishment, laughter and joy. I love the intricacies of each relationship that is shared not only with the main characters, but the supporting characters as well. She writes each character to seamlessly blend with one another without it being just about Carter and Nathan. I hate that Aria always shows her insecurities when it comes to Kyle and Carter's relationship. Now she's lost her friend. I've read Kyle's and Reannas story and can't wait for Lucca, Mickey, Dante , Isabella, Davinia, Iman, Katya, Tamara and a few new characters that appears in Kyle's book to come along. But my boys Lucca, Mikilo, and Dante's book is most important. I would love to see how Dante's relationship with Bruno developed and who will my Lucca have as a wife or my poor Mikilo. Let's get it these next books!

Love This Author AND This Series

I got hooked on this author after reading her book LOVING KYLA (6 or 7 or 10 times LOL). It's such a beautiful love story, that I read it at least once a year. (You should check it out.) After reading it again last week, I decided to check for more in the series. But, it's still only KYLA. I saw this series by the author, but was hesitant to buy it since it was so different from KYLA. But, I had a talk with myself and myself convinced me to at least give the first book in the DANGEROUS BEAUTY series a try. So I did and OMG! I have been binge ready this series. I even gave up a weekend of shopping with my husband because I didn't want to stop reading. This series has EVERYTHING a reader wants: romance, scandal, intrigue, action, sex, hot alpha males and even hotter alpha females. So happy I listened to myself and bought this series.

Book three is really good. Like the other books there is a lot going on. It is very clear that carter and Nathan love each other very much.

The whole Henry/cole thing was unnecessary to me

Anastacia had only ever fallen in love with four men in her life, and two of them still had her heart... mmkay

I’m pissed Robbie used to allow Silas to visit Carterina, that he didn’t kill him and that he still visits.

Carter was being unreasonable when she said Silas should’ve given the outcast whatever they asked for. Like she or Nathan would have obliged.

So much happened in book 3. It’s my favorite.

I finally finished.

This story from all 3 books has enough cheese and extra dramatics of a Telenovela. For real, you could imagine the facial expressions of Carter when she thought something was wrong lol

Not that the story didn't flow well but I just had a hard time with this book. The length was too long. There was so much unnecessary fluff in between, I almost didn't finish.

Carter comes off as extremely baby-ish. Even though she is told she is all of these amazing things, I had a hard time believing that.

Since there are soooo many characters and each of these characters seem to have a very deep background story. The author has more than enough material to give these charters their own books.

I was waiting for war through out the book, with a battle in dramatic fashion but I'm not sure what I ended up with. I will continue the read books by this author.

Best Mafia love story Ever!

Omg this book was amazing! I usually am my interested in books this long, but this book keep my interest to the very end. Carter and Natan will drag you through there very dangerous life style and make you fall in love many times over. However, you will find yourself having many favorite characters throughout this book! Even the villain, Silas will pull at your heart string!

Another good read... I'm still not understanding why Silas has followers or whatever they are family or not seems like they would move on without him. What's the deal with his other kids? If the author didn't paint him as such a bad guy I would understand him falling into the story now. I'm really ready for the other guys to find someone as well. Hopefully, since she has her own team we'll be seeing some other relationships.

This book is like 2 or 3 books in one. It’s over 700 pages of crazy action filled moments with the same psychopathic yet lovable characters. The story had some downtime highlighting beautiful, tearjerker moments between family and friends which made the plot believable. Definitely a recommended read.
