I'm beefing with every single one of you for not screaming at the top of your lungs about this book. Because what do you mean that I just read one of the top books for me this year and all I hear are crickets. So since no one else is screaming about this book and forcing everyone to read this one, then that looks like that will have to be my job. Just know this... ya'll are sleeping on this book! The vibes are immaculate. The plot was perfection. I low key want to be our FMC when I grow up. The plot twist had my jaw on the floor. The spice with the consistent push for who was in charge was hot AF. And dare I say, like I said above, this will be a top read for me this year. So be prepared to be sick of me recommending this one. Because I won’t be satisfied til every single one of you read this one!
This book originally caught my attention because of the cover, because hello that cover is GORGINA! Right away, I was like that cover is a vibe. And listen, I am easily influenced by a cover. A cover can make or break whether or not I want to read your book and this one grabbed ahold of my attention and wouldn't let me go until I read it. Now does the cover live up to the vibes? Yes, yes it did! The vibes with an adult circus themed nightclub had me in a chokehold. It really brings a different element to the nightclub aspect in a book. And it makes for a pretty cool vibe with our FMC being the morally grey ringleader. I also found the plot to be unique. I was pulled in from page one and didn't want to put this one down.
This book is a romantic suspense with a plot twist that I should have seen coming so I don't want to give too much away but just know D.E. Ren did an excellent job at distracting you with other things that the plot twist will make you was hold up, wait a minute how did I not see that coming. Ugh it was so good. Honestly, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this one. I was living for the circus themed vibes, our boss babe FMC who not only wears the pants in the streets but also the sheets if you catch my drift, our down bad MMC was such a golden retriever and perfect for our FMC, the plot held my attention and the push and pull for power control while in the bedroom was giving me life.
Oh and did I mention this was a debut novel? Yeah it did not read like a debut at all. I am so impressed. I can NOT wait to see what D.E. Ren gives us next because I am already foaming at the mouth for it!

This book originally caught my attention because of the cover, because hello that cover is GORGINA! Right away, I was like that cover is a vibe. And listen, I am easily influenced by a cover. I beta read for this book and all I have to say is KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR IT! It was so amazing, so fresh, so unique. Everything about the book tickled my brain! Harper and Colton are both beautifully written, when I finished I wanted more. I cannot wait to see what else this beautiful author writes, I’m patiently waiting for the remaining stories. I’m jealous of everyone who gets to read this for the first time, it will be a reread for me for sure!

Harper is an icon and I absolutely adore her!!! I love an FMC that stands on business and doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. Colton calling her Sunshine is the icing on the cake, and I love how persistent he was because he wanted to see what she would be like with her guard down. He pretty much wanted her from the moment he saw her, and Harper loved that he didn’t back down from a challenge. They were on the same level 🤭👏🏽.

Colton & his cotton candy 🩷💓💞💖. OH HE IS SO DOWN BAD FOR HARPER 😭. The way this man would talk her ear off, not even knowing one hundred percent if she was listening, but hoping she was 🥹. They are TOO SWEET. What I loved most about him is that he never wanted Harper to be anyone other than herself. He wasn’t trying to change her or make her softer. If anything, he loved that she challenged him and pushed back. Harper wasn’t intimidated by him, and Colton absolutely loved that about her. He pretty much fell first and harder. Every interaction felt like he was trying to get closer to her, learn more about her, and figure out what was underneath all those walls. Meanwhile, Harper was giving it right back to him 🤭. They matched each other’s energy perfectly, and that made every scene between them so much fun.
AND HE WILL! (very Colton coded) to grovel. I wish he would have trusted her at some point instead of blindsiding her with the fact that he was an AGENT 😭. But the shock I experienced was absolutely worth it. Never in my mind did I consider that as an option because I genuinely believed he was just applying to be a bartender and happened to get an upgrade. I bought into it completely and never questioned it once 🫠. From the start, he was enamored with her, and that is why the reveal worked so well. It never seemed like he was getting closer to her simply for information. It never felt calculated. He just loved being around her and wanted her to let her guard down because he CARES 😭🩷. He would sit there sharing details about his life without even really knowing if she cared or not. SHE DID 🥹.
That is what made it so sweet. Harper slowly let her guard down around him and became someone who believed she was lovable, but she never lost herself in the process. She still maintained everything that made her Harper. She was still confident, stubborn, and willing to stand on business whenever necessary. She never became a different person just because she fell in love. He was just happy whenever she let him see pieces of herself that nobody else got to see.

AGAIN…The plot twist had me GAGGED. I did NOT see that coming. Not even a little bit. Now I need to reread the entire book because I am convinced there had to be clues that completely went over my head. I want to go back and see if I missed something obvious because honestly, I predicted absolutely NOTHING. And you know what? That made it even more fun. Sometimes I can spot twists from a mile away, but this one completely blindsided me. It made me question everything I thought I knew and immediately want to go back and reread it with the new information in mind. Between Harper being iconic, Colton being hopelessly obsessed with his cotton candy 🩷💓, and that ending completely throwing me off, I had such a good time with this one 😭👏🏽.

"Dance for Me" by D.E. Ren was such a good read! It is a wild journey from start to finish. I never knew where it was going to go next, and I had a blast reading this one! It's so h0rny and playful and brooding and silly at times. I loved the back and forth, the push and pull between the main characters, Harper and Colton. This is a dark-ish, suspenseful workplace romance where Harper is the closed-off, semi-ruthless, headstrong owner of a circus-themed nightclub, and Colton has just been hired as her assistant after a mix-up. The chemistry between them is as smooth and perfect as peanut butter and jelly from their very first interaction. My goodness, the sparks, the sizzle, the jolts of ar0usal between them!! Their dynamic is sultry, $lutty, tension-filled, and addicting! In fact, that can sort of describe the entire book! I loved each of these characters together, and I liked them individually as well. Harper has always guarded her heart, but Colton is testing that resolve. Colton is attracted to her, but his feelings only get deeper the longer the book goes on. There are several twists and turns to keep you guessing. My jaw dropped a couple of times while reading this one! Lots of tension, lots of secrets, lots of guessing. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series!!

I loved the book so much from beginning to end. This book was so emotional under all the tension. The second that I finished I wanted and needed more. There is trauma, desire, secrets and my persona favorite YEARNING!!!
Harper owns a circus themed night club and is essentially the ringleader (pun intended). Colton shows up for a job interview but there's a bit of a mix up during the interview. Harper thinks that he is there to interview for open dancer position so the only logical thing for her to do is ask him to dance for her and does he dance for her. Harper and Colton scratch an itch that I did not know I even had. The push and pull between them is so good. I enjoyed Harper;s character so much and seeing her growth throughout the book is just perfection. She's closed off to the world and doesn't trust easily but Colton is determined to break through her walls. The twists had me reading until 2 am because I needed to know what was going to happen. I was ready to throw the book with everything that was going on at one point but don't worry the book stayed secure in my hands.
One thing that I always love is a good side character and in enters my baby Wade! I love him so much and cannot wait to see what he gets up throughout the series.

What an enjoyable and entertaining read! I loved the concept of a cirque nightclub, it was seriously so creative, and the first time I’ve heard of it mentioned in a story.
The FMC Harper is badass. It’s refreshing to see such a strong female lead, who I must mention is unhinged. Dominant girl boss with a whole lot of f*ck around and find out attitude. This woman is fierce and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Truly a stellar character.
The MMC Colton is actually cute af in the sexiest way, and he deserves applauses. In the situations he had to go through, he passed with flying colours. I loved when he begged! Also his obsession with sweets to try and distract himself from devouring the FMC had me kicking my feet. Overall he’s just thoughtful, kind but also not to be messed with.
D.E. Ren lit a torch under my feet with that killer banter and exceptional spice embedded in such a great storyline. Thank you for the opportunity to dive into this book. I can’t wait to continue the series.

I seriously cannot believe this is a DEBUT NOVEL?!! This definitely reads like it’s from a seasoned author with many books under their belt. D.E. Ren gives us a wild ride between Harper and Colton. So buckle up and grab your cotton candy and get ready for this unhinged adventure!

Colton shows up for a job interview thinking he’s going to become the next bartender. When he walks into meet with Harper she thinks he’s there to dance! After the misunderstanding was figured out, he ends up becoming her assistant.

I saw the cover art for this and knew I needed to apply for the ARC of this book!
I love the concept of this being a circus themed adult nightclub. Harper is our FMC and the ringleader as it were.

What a phenomenal debut novel !
It was an addictive page turner, with mystery, tension, drama and humour. I had a lot of fun reading it and between Colton and Dean Dilaurentis blonde men are making a come back 🔥
I absolutely loved the writing and characters and I’m so happy to have a physical copy on my shelf !

Everything about this book just worked.
The writing, the suspense, the romance, the spice, the characters. Nothing felt forced or out of place. Every piece fit together so well that I genuinely didn't want to put it down. It felt fresh, unique, and different from anything else I've been reading lately.
Harper was easily one of my favorite parts of this book. She's strong, ambitious, morally gray, and completely unapologetic about it. She built an empire despite everything life threw at her, and while her past made it hard for her to trust people, it never stopped her from going after what she wanted. I loved watching her slowly learn that accepting love can be just as difficult as fighting for everything else.
Then there's Colton, who completely surprised me. Harper may be the dark one in this relationship, but Colton balances her perfectly with his mischievous personality and golden retriever energy. Their chemistry is immediate, but what I loved most was that their relationship felt earned. Colton had to work to break through Harper's walls, and when those walls went back up, he had to prove himself all over again.
The suspense kept me hooked from beginning to end. There was one particular reveal that had me literally saying "oh sh*t" out loud. Looking back, the clues were there, but I never put them together until the exact moment the author wanted me to.
And can we talk about the circus themed nightclub for a second? Because it wasn't just a backdrop. It became part of the story. The performances, the atmosphere, the different acts. Everything was so vividly described that it felt immersive and brought the entire world to life. It gave this book a personality that made it stand out from every other dark romance on my shelf.
There were several moments throughout this story that are going to be living rent free in my head for a very long time.
More than anything, this book reminded me why I love reading. It pulled me in, kept me guessing, made me lose track of time, and left me wishing I had more.

Dance for Me absolutely consumed me. this book felt like walking into a velvet drenched fever dream where everyone is dangerous, emotionally constipated, gorgeous, and one bad decision away from ruining each other in the best possible way.
Harper and Colton?????? i am UNWELL. the tension between them was so sharp it honestly felt illegal. every interaction had this push and pull that made me feral. she’s cold, controlled, powerful, carrying the weight of this entire dark glittering empire on her shoulders, and Colton just crashes through all her carefully locked doors like a man who forgot self preservation exists. the chemistry was filthy, addictive, and so emotionally charged i could barely breathe through some scenes.
and the setting??? Harper Cirque deserves its own fan club. the atmosphere in this book was EVERYTHING. dark stages, secrets behind curtains, performers, masks slipping, obsession simmering under every conversation. it felt decadent and dangerous at the same time, like champagne served in a glass with a crack running through it 🖤🎭
what i loved most though was how emotional it all was underneath the tension and suspense. Harper isn’t just some untouchable ice queen. she’s exhausted and lonely and trying so hard to keep everything from collapsing around her. watching Colton slowly become her safe place while also absolutely wrecking her composure had me melting into a puddle. and Colton??? protective, patient but still teasing enough to make me scream into my pillow. book boyfriend behaviour was OFF THE CHARTS.
also the suspense plot actually had me hooked. i was so invested in finding out who was targeting Harper and trying to destroy everything she built. it added this constant undercurrent of danger that made the romance hit even harder.
i finished this book with my heart racing and my brain permanently living inside Harper Cirque. De Ren really said “here’s obsession, trauma, desire, secrets, and yearning” and i said THANK YOU i’ll take seventeen more immediately 😭

Let’s just say we open this read with her grinding a heel into a man’s neck (he definitely deserved it). From that moment I was in awe of her. Our man Colton is DOWN BAD for Harper almost immediately and I'm here for it. I mean how can you not be, her very air of control is seductive.

Dance for Me completely consumed me from the very first page. D.E. Ren created a dark, seductive, and emotionally charged world that I never wanted to leave. The atmosphere of Cirque was absolutely intoxicating. Every scene felt vivid, dangerous, and dripping with tension. I could practically feel the music, the heat, and the secrets lurking behind every curtain.
Harper was such a strong and fascinating FMC. Beneath her cold and controlled exterior was a woman carrying so much pressure, responsibility, and pain. I loved watching those walls slowly crack as Colton worked his way into her life. Their chemistry was unreal. Every interaction between them had this electric push and pull that kept me completely hooked. The tension, the banter, the possessiveness, and the vulnerability hidden underneath it all made this relationship feel so addictive.
Colton absolutely stole my heart. What started as a job quickly became so much more, and I loved seeing him go from keeping his distance to becoming fiercely protective of Harper. The way he challenged her while still understanding the darkness she carried made their connection feel authentic and powerful.
What really stood out to me was how perfectly D.E. Ren balanced the romance, suspense, and darker themes. The mystery surrounding the threats against Harper kept me fully invested, and the twists had me turning pages nonstop. At the same time, the emotional depth between the characters gave this story so much heart underneath all the chaos and temptation.

Secondly as we go into this can we take a few seconds to appreciate and process that this is D.E Rens debut novel……WHAAATTTTTT!. Dance for me definitely doesn’t read as a debut novel and the fact it started with “Men ruin everything” was literally EVERYTHING!
The story feels both unique and thoroughly immersive, with its dark circus vibe theme and characters that were so well written they basically feel like they’re a part of my real world.
Harper our FMC (obsessed with her) is strong, guards her heart and is outright ruthless but wouldn’t you be if you were doing all you could to protect everything you’d ever built? Watching her melt slowly when Colton our MMC chips away at her scratched an itch I didn’t know I had. He was the perfect golden retriever to our black cat and their chemistry was electric – who doesn’t love a bit of bodyguard to lover romance right?
Dance for Me isn’t your typical romance novel, it’s dark, slightly messy from an emotional point of view and the suspense keeps you reading ‘just one more chapter’ when you know you should really go to bed, but ignore that inside voice and just keep reading, you won’t regret it!
I could not recommend this book more, now I’ve just got to manage my big girl feelings and not have a tantrum about having to wait for book 2! Please don’t keep us waiting too long

I cannot believe that this is a debut!!! Like who gave this person the right to come out of the bullpen 🔥 BLAZING 🔥?!? Well they came out and blew the top off of the big top!! This was something that I wish I could go back and read for the first time!
I hope that you have something ro drink and some snacks to hold you over while you read this unhinged journey!! Might I recommened some 🍬 cotton candy and roasted peanuts 🥜? Pretty on brand for the big top to reveal everything that happens underneath and behind the scenes.
Harper and Colton are two very different people but when Harper comes out and Colton can't keep his eyes off of her, you know the drill. He is DOWN BAD for your girl!! Instead of the job he came for he got an immediate upgrade to the boss's assistant. But what he thought he was getting was no where close to what fell in his lap.
I love me a down bad MMC and when the FMC is unhinged? IMMEDIATELY SOLD. There is this amazing web of suspense woven throughout the story and you will definitely keep guessing who is the villain in the end! I never expected the twists and turns that came at me, but this is one book that I would love to go back and re-read!
I am still reeling that this was a debut novel. There are seasoned authors who cannot achieve this kind of amazingness! I am so excited to see what they have in store for us next!

I cannot believe that this is a debut!!! Like who gave this person the right to come out of the bullpen 🔥 BLAZING 🔥?!? Well they came out and blew the top off of the big top!! This was something that I wish I could go back and read for the first time!
I hope that you have something ro drink and some snacks to hold you over while you read this unhinged journey!! Might I recommened some 🍬 cotton candy and roasted peanuts 🥜? Pretty on brand for the big top to reveal everything that happens underneath and behind the scenes.
Harper and Colton are two very different people but when Harper comes out and Colton can't keep his eyes off of her, you know the drill. He is DOWN BAD for your girl!! Instead of the job he came for he got an immediate upgrade to the boss's assistant. But what he thought he was getting was no where close to what fell in his lap.
I love me a down bad MMC and when the FMC is unhinged? IMMEDIATELY SOLD. There is this amazing web of suspense woven throughout the story and you will definitely keep guessing who is the villain in the end! I never expected the twists and turns that came at me, but this is one book that I would love to go back and re-read!
I am still reeling that this was a debut novel. There are seasoned authors who cannot achieve this kind of amazingness! I am so excited to see what they have in store for us next!

D.E. Ren absolutely delivered with Dance For Me. From the very beginning, I was hooked by the relationship between Harper and Colton. Their dynamic gave me reverse grumpy/sunshine vibes, and the chemistry between them was undeniable. The tension simmered for so long that when things finally heated up, it was well worth the wait.
Harper quickly became one of my favorite heroines. Her inner thoughts had me laughing throughout the book, and I loved getting inside her head. Both her and Colton’s perspectives added so much depth to the story. And Colton? Definitely top-tier book boyfriend material.
What I especially loved was how well Harper and Colton balanced each other. Harper is powerful, confident, and in control in her everyday life, but behind closed doors, Colton takes the lead, creating a dynamic that felt both natural and exciting. Their connection was intense, emotional, and incredibly satisfying to watch unfold.
And the plot twists? Completely unexpected. I did not see them coming at all. Every reveal added another layer to the story and kept me fully invested.
Beyond the romance, the side characters were fantastic. Sadie, Wade, Stella, the Cirque crew…they all added depth. Harper is an absolute badass, and Sadie was just as strong and memorable. Between the suspense, the twists, the chemistry, and the character development, this book gave me everything I wanted.
If you love slow-burn romance with explosive chemistry, strong characters, and suspenseful twists, Dance For Me is definitely worth the read. Can’t wait to read Wade and Stella’s story and I’m hoping we also get to see Sadie get an HEA!

A Debut That Brings the Tension, the Spice, and One Wild Twist
It is always such a nice surprise when I finish a book, really enjoy it, and then find out it’s a debut. This was so well written.
The storyline kept me engaged the entire time, and what happens around that 80% mark had my mouth hanging open. I can usually tell where a story is headed, so the fact that this completely caught me off guard says a lot.
The way Colton gets his job in the beginning had me giggling, and the tension between him and Harper early on had me fully kicking my feet. Their dynamic pulls you in right away, and I loved how their relationship progressed in a way that actually felt natural. The spice was so freaking hot. It felt realistic, fit their relationship, and made the story progression that much more intense.
I loved Harper. As a black cat myself, the way she was written was very well thought out and I could see myself in her. I am always here for a strong FMC, and she held her own without it ever feeling overdone. Colton was the perfect golden retriever MMC, he had me smirking and rolling my eyes on multiple occasions.
Having a great FMC/MMC is nice but D.E. took it a step further by also having side characters who were extremely likable and added to the story without taking anything away from it.
I was getting nervous as I was getting closer to the end of the book, wondering how it would wrap up seamlessly. Once again D.E. was able to deliver and the ending tied up perfectly.
I am already excited knowing we are getting more from this world and can’t wait to see where this series is going to take Stella and Wade!

This story had me fully spiraling. Dark circus vibes, suspense, chaos, romance, emotional damage every time I thought I knew where things were going, this book looked me dead in the eyes and said “absolutely not.” The twists?? I did NOT see them coming. AT ALL.
And Harper??
OBSESSED with her.
This woman is ruthless, unhinged, protective, and honestly a complete badass. She guards her heart so fiercely because of everything she’s been through, and watching Colton slowly break through those walls?? UGH.

♠️ Straps knives to herself like it’s casual

Their chemistry was insane. Golden retriever x black cat perfection with bodyguard romance tension woven into all the madness.
This book also hit emotionally harder than I expected especially with the family dynamics, abandonment issues, and the way both characters carry their pain.
This was one of those “just one more chapter” books that suddenly has you awake at 3AM questioning your life choices because you physically cannot stop reading.
Now excuse me while I throw a tantrum waiting for book two because I NEED IT IMMEDIATELY. 👀📚

When I read the blurb for this arc it quickly became one of my most anticipated reads of the entire year, and it did not disappoint!! First of all I just want to say a huge thank you to D.E. Ren for letting me read this book early as well as sending her all my reactions lol. As well as a thank you to Luna Literary Management for sending me the arc as well. Now to take a moment for our Queen, MOTHER F-ING HARPER!!!!!!! I think I might be in love with Harper. Scratch that, I am in love with Harper. She is not only a total bad-ass, but she is loyal to the bone and gives a type of love that is so pure, deep, and beautiful. Now onto my boy Colton. He is witty, flirty, and so kind hearted. The little actions he does to get closer to Harper and slowly break down her walls had me absolutely swooning. Colt and Harp are the definition of a power couple!! The banter between the two of them is drool worthy, as well as their sexual chemistry teehee
Another aspect that I loved about this book was how accurately I felt the dancers/dancing was portrayed with glimpses of rehearsals and how Harper provides resources for her dancers to not only be good at their job, but also healthy and provide longevity to their careers. As a dancer myself, I’m wishing I could join Harper’s staff lol.
Dance For Me is the perfect blend of character and plot driven for me where there was always something going on in the background that kept me hooked like a fish on a line, but also I felt I got to know the characters on a deeper level so I cared what happened to them. And the fact this is D.E. Ren’s debut novel is absolutely insane to think about on top of the incredible aspects of this book.

Probably one of my favorite books of 2026 so far. Ren's writing flows so easily and her descriptions are so vivid, that it surprised me to see this is her debut.
Dance for Me hooked from the very beginning, when Colton shows up to interview for a bartender position, but wires get crossed, and Harper, the owner of Cirque - a circus themed club - asks him to dance for her as an audition. Colton is smitten, and let me tell you, the YEARNING this book delivers is nothing short of amazing. Colton is relentless, and the less Harper gives him the time of the day, the more our boy wants her. Harper was my favorite character: ruthless, sexy, closed off to the world, but kind, and you can tell she's someone who loves fiercely. Their tension, their banter, their push and pull, their jealousy... they're absolutely everything. So well crafted, and so well executed.
The side characters also were amazing. I can't wait to read about them in their respective books. And Cirque itself was a living, breathing character, in the way it was described, and in the way Harper cares for it.

What an absolute banger of a first book from D.E Ren! The golden retriever that is Colton will have you gripped from chapter one,when a misunderstanding sees him and his soon to be boss much more up close and personal than first expected! Harper Mathers completely intrigues Colton from that very first meeting- he’s swept away by her eyes and intrigued by her aloof demeanour and he falls head over heels for her.. Meanwhile Harper objectively can see that Colton is attractive but she and her sister have been through a lot and she doesn’t let anyone in easily. She runs her exclusive club like a diligently and doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Colton manages to bag himself a job and becomes Harpers assistant where he goes desperately out of his way to see her every day and get to know her. Watching Harpers walls lower bit by bit was fantastic and Colton just doesn’t give up… he sticks with it and shows Harper she’s worth the trouble with every single of act of service he shows her. He’s also develops a cotton candy obsession to substitute for other things he hoping to do…. With Harper..🤣🤣
The sub plot will keep you on your toes the whole way through- the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat right up until 90%… and let’s just say one chapter towards the end of the book left my flabbers gasted! Circus themed nightclub with an unhinged boss FMC I was hooked from the beginning. The connection and banter between Harper and Colt was absolute perfection as well as the jealousy they swore they didn’t have. I will warn you the plot will twist so hard that if you are laying down reading this on a kindle or iPad like I was sit up because I did hit myself in the face with my iPad from jumping up at that twist and made sure I was up the rest of the book to save my nose from further bruising. I cannot recommend this enough and I absolutely cannot wait for Wade’s book he is already so down bad.

May 28, 2026Dance For Me was such a fun read! I was hooked from the first 10 pages. The FMC, Harper, is a tough badass with a soft heart. I think that her tough exterior is a shield and necessity for her business.
The characters are nicely layered without revealing too much about their stories or what truly makes them tick. There’s an air of mystery to each and every character introduced that left me wanting to get to know them more.
The book is explicit in the sex scenes. I know it was going to be spicy and I did clutch my pearls reading some of it lol Learning the characters and the nature of the story, the spicy scenes make sense and there’s built up tension that makes those moment make sense. I just doesn’t come out of nowhere. I would say that this is 4 out 5 chill peppers on a spice scale.

Wow! If you're questioning whether to continue with this book because the beginning feels a little slow, stick with it. You will not regret it. The last thirty percent of the book picks up and takes you on quite a ride.
Dance For Me is the first book in the Sinners Playground series by D.E. Ren and follows Harper and Colton. As I mentioned, the beginning was not very exciting for me, and at times I was confused about whether Harper and Colton were actually together. I honestly considered DNFing this book because of that confusion, but I am so glad I kept reading. In the end, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars largely because of how strong the ending was.
Beyond the ending, I really enjoyed the side characters. Sadie, Harper's sister, is a tech genius, and I hope she eventually gets her own story. Wade was another standout character, and it has already been announced that he will be getting the second book in the series. He is the bodyguard Harper never wanted but eventually comes to rely on. He gave off protective big brother vibes and definitely seemed like the type who would make someone pay if they hurt her.
While this is a romance, it also has a strong suspense element. I wasn't sure how I would feel about that combination, but I ended up loving the twists. There are some dark themes and heavy topics, so be sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in.
I highly recommend adding this book to your TBR.

Dance For Me is the first book in the Sinners Playground series by D.E. Ren and follows Harper and Colton.
