Busy Baby: Trucks

In Trucks, Busy Baby can race in a fire truck, use a cement mixer, and collect recycling. Whatever Busy Baby does, the most important thing is to make some new friends along the way. Both books will keep the very youngest readers busy reading, playing, and learning.

L (2 1/2) really loved the way the baby's head spins around in this board book. She brought this one into her bed often at nap time ("to read to my Dip Dip" [stuffed dog], she would tell me) and I'd catch her twirling it around. She was only moderately interested in the actual text of the book, but as a sort of game/activity she found it entertaining.

The kids mostly just played with the spinny head, making this a toy and not a book.

cute, but I wish they would have used the names of the trucks in the text
Fun pictures will engage Little readers of every stripe. It is great for vehicle lovers, problem solvers, and wiggly toddlers. Turning head holds the attention of the little ones. My 2-year-old son loved the trucks and the animals in the picture. There were a lot of other things in the pictures that I could ask him to point to and engage him further.

This interactive board book encourages little ones to go along for the ride as Baby drives a fire engine, helps a cement truck fix a sidewalk crack, pick up recyclable material, scoop ice cream, and tow a stalled car. The pictures are quite bright, and readers will enjoy looking at them while also flipping the baby's face in the center from concerned to confident. Great fun for the younger set!

This is for very tiny babies... but still good.

This book has an interactive piece (the baby's head) that babies love to spin.
