I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Tons of history, introductions to new (old) singers as well as much I didn't know about singers I've listened to for decades. No hidden agenda - this book is about the love and joy of creative jazz singing, those who have shaped the genre, those who have expanded the genre, and discussions on how we might keep jazz singing alive now and for the future. A must read for musicians, singers, and fans of jazz singing and songs of the Great American Songbook.
