In 2014 the nation was in crisis. Partisan politics were the rule of the day, stifling and sabotaging meaningful change in Washington. Americans were desperate for someone—anyone—to offer them hope, to show them there was indeed a light at the end of the tunnel.
That hope came in the form of Sharmin Smith, a contestant on the breakthrough reality show Who Wants to Be Presi

I was fascinated by the concept of this book, having recently watched and lived through an intriguing UK general election.
It took a while to grasp that the events in the opening are taking place towards the middle of this century. By the tenth chapter I was drawn in to the real world events which we are seeing unfolding in the lead up to the next US election 2016, I believe.

REVIEW: TAMING THE TIDA by Eslynne Smith
When former President Sharmin Smith, the nation's first female president (and mother of the current POTUS, her daughter) is struck by lightning and disappears, shortly after chatting with citizens at the White House gate, the U.S., and the world, are shocked, distraught, and grieving. Sharmin' s granddaughter in law, Amanda Thompson, a news reporter and very close to the former President, had recently completed an interview series with her, which revealed ...more

If gutter trash could take on a human form it would be Sharmin Smith or Turner or whoever Eslynne is. This book is equally garbage because of the typos and grammatical errors. Who publishes a book without hiring a professional editor?
I can say first hand that she is certifiably insane, mentally unstable, and emotionally deviant. I've known and I'm still seeing that she ruins the lives of any and everyone who crosses her path. And I mean, everyone. The damage she causes to their bodies and minds. ...more

I've known Sharmin for a while about 10 years back. A friend sent a screenshot of this page to me so I decided to lend a voice. This book was hard to read because I know the truth behind the author. She is a blatant racist but she pretends that she isn't. I have witnessed some of her "views" and they are very ignorant and small-minded. She claims she's a democrat but she married a republican and surrounds herself with republicans. She believes in the melting pot theory which is that race issues

Both the writers of the most recent reviews, I am a reporter that works with one of the biggest publications in the country. During the current political climate, I've been working on a story and came across this book. I read it and found it to be very idealistic and not inclusive. But as a woman author, I enjoyed that angle. The story I'm currently working on is about the passing or rebirth of the "Me Too" movement and it's strengths and flaws. One is that when the movement started over 2 years

The book itself was an interesting read. It identified several things that could be done to improve our political system. It's a bit of an idealistic perspective but hit home just the same.
So why the OK review? I'm a part of several professional forums and groups that can either push your book forward or bring it back. My concern is about the Author. On several of these forums, there are questions about her mental health and instability. It talks about losing her children and other stuff that I ...more

I'm so thankful for the last review. I was unsure if I should post but now I feel compelled to post. I know the author's ex. It really messes with me that this woman is a narcissist. It's true she has embellished the truth and has made false claims of rape and child sexual abuse. What angers me is that my wife has been a victim of both and it's not something to take lightly or make up for book sales or credibility. It's disgusting that she has done this. Her family is working hard to get her hel
