While this was a really good book, the subject matter was a little difficult. The author did a great job of portraying the worst of what can happen while not going into every gory detail, which I greatly appreciated. The sensitive subject matter shows what a fallen world that we live in, while also reiterating what a redeeming God we serve. There were several twists throughout the story which kept you in suspense and held your attention while giving you a reprieve from the intense emotions that ...more

We need more books like this! While heartbreaking and sobering (and some of it hard to read because of the subject matter), this book tastefully shows the damaged done by human trafficking and how being rescued is just part of the story. There is so much more to healing than walking away from the place where the abuse occurred.

I was sad to see that Evie dropped off the scene a bit. I was impressed by the friendship throughout the horror, but then the friendship dropped off until the end. I coul

This story was very moving and reminds me of the horrors of sex trafficking. Although it is a hard topic to hear and/or read about, it does no good to have people hide their heads and pretend it doesn't exist. These people need us to be aware of their plight and we need to do something about it. The story was hard to read in the beginning--as the story moved on we are reminded of how hard the healing process can be. Overall, the story was good and worth reading. I was distracted at times with so ...more

There were things about this book I didn't like (First person, multiple POVs, and time switching), but that's a personal preference. However, the story is good and kept me turning the pages. My heart went out to the women and I love a good Christian story that isn't too graphic. Granted, there were parts that were hard to read, but the author left plenty to the imagination. I will definitely finish this series when the rest is written. Thumbs up! ...more

Beware! The author's spelling and grammar are so bad (and unedited) that the 4th book in this series is actually called "Rememberance!" Yikes! That said, the characters and the story line are attractive enough that I've read two books by this author, although each time I start one, I commit to make it my last. If you can get past the horrible syntax and figure out by context which character is actually speaking (because they are often mis-referenced), you will enjoy the plot. ...more

Wonderful book

The worst part about reading this book is the waiting impatiently for the next one!

I loved this book and the characters. It's told from Nova's and Davis's point of view, and really ignores Evie. Maybe the next book will have more with her?

Great read, but might make you cry

This book is a page turner that keeps the reader engaged and interested in the story line. The author does an excellent job of approaching hard subject material and presenting it in a factual way and yet gives great hope through the encouragement to her characters. Worth your time!

Good, quick read, decent plot

I liked the 1st part of the book with the girls in Australia ...he exciting part almost went too quickly. The love story part is sweet but seemed a little too unreal. All in all, a decent book. I'll probably read the rest to find out what happens.

Redemption

Human Trafficking is a killer to the soul and what Evie and Nova go through no one should have to experience. But there is healing if you are will to surrender; God can make you whole. Redemption is a story of tragedy, pain, hope, love and healing.
