Everyone who touches you transforms you, if only a little. But if you enter their minds, think what they have thought, in effect do what they have done, how complete will that transformation be?

If he had been born an ordinary man, his family would be safe--safe as anyone can be in a land torn apart by war. It is his singular gift, however, that causes his wife

Thought Gazer by Raymond Bolton is an epic adventure tale that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. In a war-torn world, Peniff the Thought Gazer finds himself facing a moral dilemma—go along with the warlords as they kill and destroy or betray them at risk to his wife and two children. Peniff has the gift of mind-reading, and not only does he have the gift in ways much stronger than other Thought Gazers, he also finds unique

Raymond Bolton’s Thought Gazer is well crafted sword, quest and rescue story that harkens back to Edgar Rice Burroughs adventures with a good science fiction basis. Why do I say science fiction if they are battling in castles with medieval weapons? We are on a planet with two suns, so not Earth or some magical realm. It’s a place you could travel to if you had the means. Bolton adds elements such as the intelligent and telepathic endaths used as steeds and full partners in battle, again not eart ...more

I've read a lot of Indie books and many are good. Thought Gazer is Great. It hooked me from the very beginning and kept me reading. There are an array of interesting characters, but not too many to keep up with. The action and tension builds as you read but there is still good character development. I liked and empathized with the key characters and rooted against the bad guys.

Editing is superb. I have to admit I make notes where I find errors when I read books Kindle makes that so e

This was my second book by the author and I actually enjoyed it more than the first. In part I think there was a little more complexity to the plot whilst the series benefited from further development in terms of characters and the world building elements which Raymond Bolton does really well. I still think this is a very original series and am looking forward to seeing how the series develops.

I won this book from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review.

This book was fantastic! I read the first couple of pages and didn't expect to like it because of all the almost-unpronounceable proper names, but I was hooked right from the beginning. I haven't read the first one but after how great this one was, I'll definitely be getting my hands on a copy!

Raymond Bolton lives near Portland, Oregon with his wife, Toni, and their cats, Max and Arthur. Reviewers have been generous with praise, offering such comments as, “Eschewing the more commonly overt manifestations of alien technology and the well toted elements of fanciful magic, Bolton breathes originality into the genre with his singular focus on telepathy.”
