A sweet western romance that was a bit predictable but enjoyable to read.

Misty M Beller has given readers another great Christian historical romance to enjoy. I laughed my way through a good portion of it thanks to her witty and charming hero. You won't regret buying this book. :)

This is the second book in Misty Beller's Mountain Dream series. We have Miriam's story here, who is injured when a mountain lion attacks her. She is taken to town and must remaint here for several weeks as she heals. The town doctor provides the romantic element here.

I won't go into more of the synopsis for fear of including spoilers.
Misty Beller has written a very nice and godly book, one that will appeal to any reader of Christian fiction. The book is set out west, which is a time and place

I enjoyed reading another sweet historical romance in this series set in a mining town of the Montana Territory. You don't have to have read the previous book to jump right in with this one. The medical treatments seemed well researched, and the characters are easy to love.

I liked all of the characters. Yes, even the bad guy. I liked both the primary and secondary story lines.
I longed for an epilogue to finalize the stories.

I appreciated the second book in this series, Miriam's love story. This isolated teenager in bloom by near tragedy finds herself in the hands of a rare hearted young doctor Alex, when she is rushed to the nearest town. The doctor and his doctor brother are filling a newly established and much needed practice in this small Montana mining town. Come take a look back into the old, wild west at its best, black coal lung disease and all. I look forward to finishing the remaining books in this series, ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked all of the characters in this book. There were a lot of twists and turns. Not only did I like the main characters Alex O'Nelly and Miriam Bryant but the others as well. Alex's brother Bryan, Miriam's brother Gideon, and his wife and Miriam's Sister-in-Law and best friend, Leah, as well as the assorted patients that came in for care. It was a moving book. Although Leah seem to have her share of bad luck. Back in the day these things were common. I ...more

A clean, sweet, Christian love story set in an silver and coal mining town in the 1800's.

She is a rancher from the high mountains, harvesting a buck deer that a cougar also wants. When she wakes after the attack, she finds herself gravely wounded, her brother has found her and rushed her down to the town below for help from the doctors there. Two doctors, educated, handsome, and single. Can they save her life? A good solid story, but needs some polishing with the many typos, misused or incorrect

If you love short-stories or novella, a good clean, inspirational story then you will love The Lady and the Mountain Doctor. I personally prefer a novel (the thicker the better) but I enjoyed this book and highly recommend this book to anyone that truly loves a good novella. The characters are interesting, there are some twist and turns that you will enjoy. I do believe if you enjoy novellas you would probably give this a rating of 5. I'v read other books by Misty M. Miriam

Miriam Bryant has just killed a deer when she is attacked by cougar. Her brother Gideon takes her down the mountain from his ranch to Butte where Alex Donahue and his brother Bryan have a medical practice. Miriam's recovery is slow, and over time she begins to be attracted to Alex.

Excellent plotting and charactorization, although plotting is not quite as good as other books in this series.

I believe I am hooked now.

I purchased the first book, with my mama in mind. Then got hooked and purchased this with my self on mind. And ain will be purchasing the next ones with my daughter in mind. The values that Misty displays in both novels has truly touched my heart. And I can't wait to let my daughter read it.

Doctor in Butte MT

Sweet love story with excitement thrown in. Having spent some time living in MT and having visited Butte made this story that much more real. Probably will read others in the series as time allows.

Wonderful read

This book is so easy to read and the characters are so lovable that it's sad when it's over. I love how the writer uses the word of God and prayers in the plot of the story it helps it relate to our own lives
