For anyone looking to pick this book up: Be aware that it does not cover many of the exam topics. The books even tells you in the opening pages which ones it doesn't cover (it's a lot).

Also, it annoys me that the errata is so large. When you pick up a book like this, you don't want to be wondering if the information you are reading is accurate.

This book is helpful but it is missing easily 40% of the exam topics. Probably more like 50%. Read it, yes, but find the exam blueprint online and study up on all of the other stuff like Netflow and IP SLA and VPN technologies (GRE and DMVPN) and SNMP and the logging levels and CEF to name a few.

Great book for routing, despite it is old

eBook had links to videos which I could never get to work. None of these are great -- they can never be like a great novel. Certainly, my opinion will be based on when I pass, but, I have a lot of experience, and these books never include everything you want. It was good. Worth the investment, I think.

Be advised!! USE THE EXAM TOPICS ON CISCOS WEB PAGE as a guide to what you need to study. This book is good but doesnt cover as much as it should. It's not a stand alone test reference.
