2.5 - "Please don’t be a dream." Stars.

All I need Is You is the first book I have read by Wendy S. Marcus, and the second book in the Loving You series. It was a quick, easy read, and grabbed me at the start with the letters between Neve and Rory being the introduction to the story, but it wasn’t without its issues, and for me they detracted a bit from my overall enjoyment.

I liked Rory, back from a year serving in Afghanistan, he has returned with more than a few bad memories, and I liked the wa

Neve starts writing letters to Rory, a soldier stationed in Afghanistan. Her letters are a little naughty and a little getting-to-know-you. Neve's letters help get Rory through his tour in Afghanistan and when he comes home for a ten day leave, Neve shows up to help him fulfill one of his fantasies he mentioned in his letter. After a misunderstanding that has Neve running away, Rory knows one night wasn't enough with her and wants to spend more time with his pen pal.

Neve James and Rory Mc Roy meet under unusual circumstances. You see Neve decided that since it was soon to be winter and in New York that’s cold and she had no boyfriend or dates on the horizon that she would write to a serviceman. She made it perfectly clear during the first letter she was unattached and wanted to know if he was because if he chose to get sexually explicit letters for a thrill and to keep boredom away she wanted to know if he was attached. She told him because if she had a bo ...more

You don't need to read the first book to understand this one. The main characters from the first book are included, but they play a small supporting role to Neve and Rory.

Neve had bad luck with men. She liked to be a rebel and go along with the bad boys. When she decided to improve her life, she signed up for a military pen pal.

Rory was the lucky soldier in Afghanistan that got chosen for Neve. At first the letters were fun and sexy. Later the communication became more intimate and mea

This is the follow up to Loving You is Easy. It features Neve, a friend of Brooke, and another penpal soldier, Rory.

The book starts not long after the first one finished. We know that something has gone wrong with Neve and Rory's penpal romance. Rory came home to visit four months ago and things went belly up but he had to go back on duty before it could be sorted.

Now he's back and determined to fix things with Neve and explain what happened at his family's pub. Only Neve isn't having any. She h

I’m a sucker for military romances simply because I grew up in a military household. I saw the love that held couples together through constant change, forced separations and ever present worry of losing your loved one to war. The circumstances could create a steel bond between the couple or tear them apart. In “All I Need is You” by Wendy S. Marcus she shows phenomenal insight into the military mindset. I loved this book and manag

All I Need is You is book two of Wendy S. Marcus' Loving You series unfortunately I have not read the first book I must remedy that asap. Another unfortunate accident I had the worst earworm because of the series name; Loving You sung by Minnie Riperton is not my favorite song and it is very easy to get stuck in your head, so curse you for that Wendy S. Marcus! (and also Burger King for having that song back in the late 90's in one of their ad campaigns). Okay on to the book, I love t

All I Need Is You is a very unique read.

First of all, we have a feisty heroine—Neve—whose trying to redeem herself from a promo squints past... and okay, don't you just hate autocorrect? Here I am, trying to be serious about a book... and instead of 'promiscuous past' it makes me right '

In All I Need Is You, Wendy S. Marcus has once again written an emotional story with likeable characters, who fight for the chance to become the people they want to be and for the love they ultimately want.

Ever since I read the first book in the Loving You Series, Loving You Is Easy, I’ve been patiently waiting on the story of Rory and Neve. I knew going in something was really up between these two. I just had no idea how their story would play ou

All I Need Is You is the kind of book that simply makes you feel warm all over. A joy to read and a pleasure from start to finish.

This touching love story between Neve and Rory had so much more than just romance. Getting to know each other through letters while Rory was serving in Afghanistan, each became the other's sounding board. Neve as a dancer was finally realizing her dream: a tryout with Cirque du Soleil. She craved a new start and was hopeful that she would traveling the world with the
Couldn’t put this one down from start to finish! From page one Ms. Marcus kept me intrigued in this beautiful romance that was just fitting for two strong and independent characters. My favorite, though, just had to be Rory McRoy. He was just such a sweetheart of a guy! There’s nothing that he wouldn’t do to protect and support his woman. And, Neve James has all that and more when it comes to her relationship with Rory. Yes, there were some pretty heavy misunderstandings between the two, but as ...more

This is the second book by Wendy S. Marcus that I’ve read. The first one, Loving You Is Easy, was a great book (I named it as my runner-up choice for my Best Reads of 2014), and this one was almost as good! I’ve never had much of a feeling one way or the other about military romances. I’d read some decent ones, but I wouldn’t say that I LOVED military romances. Now, though … Well, I might have to say that I’m an actual bona fide fan of them! Read on to find out exactly what I mean...

An emotional, sexy read between two pen pals. Neve, a dancer starts writing letters to Rory, while he is stationed in Afghanistan. The letters are sexy but also a get to know you. Loved it!! On leave to the states Neve shows up to fulfill one of his fantasies, they end up with a misunderstanding and Neve leaves. Rory realizes that Neve is for him and he will do anything to prove his love.

This is a well written book of two flawed characters of finding love. Neve has a lot to go through with her

I had a hard time with this one. I didn't really like Neve when I probably should have. There was just something about her often self-destructive ways that rubbed me the wrong way. Even in her letters to Rory, I had to wonder what she said (that we didn't) see that drew him to her, other than she was hot and guys want her. ...more

I had been looking forward to reading this one, wanted to know what happened between Neve and Rory. However reading it wasn't that great. I didn't care for Neve, part of it was how free she was with sex. Normally I like women like that, but it came of slutty, not Neve taking what she wanted and having fun. Part of that could be because Neve felt guilty about her past with men and part of it could be because the men came back for more and only wanted sex. Rory wasn't much better, there was some t ...more

All I Need Is You, is the second book in the Loving You series by Wendy S. Marcus. It can most certainly be read as a standalone book and (thankfully) had no cliffhanger. For the most part, I really liked this book but there were a few things that set me off about it. (Skip toward the bottom for those, mind you they are also slightly spoilers.) Now these things weren't enough to make me set the book down, but they did bring me out of my reading euphoria and make me mentally twitch.

All I Need Is You was another great book by Wendy Marcus! I read the first book in the series and fell in love with the story and the characters, and I felt the same way about this one too! It followed the same premise as the first book, a pen pal program between a soldier and a girl. However, that’s where the similarities ended…the characters are completely different. The book begins with a letter Neve has written Rory. They start off a little innocent and tame, then they become spicy and naugh ...more
I'm not even going to get into doing the whole Book Summary for this book, instead, I'm just going to dive right in, and though it may be shark week on TV, I have a feeling, that this review could be just as brutal and so to Wendy S. Marcus and to one of my FAVE publishers, I apologise.

The blurb of this book sounds so amazing, it sounded like the perfect way to spend a cold, rainy, winters day/night, curled up on the lounge or in bed with this book and a hot caramel macchiato. In fact, that's ex

This is one of those stories that will pull you in from the first page and keep you up very late reading, it is a story that will make you laugh out loud and shed tears as our hero Rory and heroine Neve journey and to a HEA that has a lot of ups and downs on the pathway.

Rory is a solder fighting in Afghanistan and he has been through and seen a lot of things that you would not wish on anybody he comes from a good family that own and run a pub in Boston he has no serious girls in his life so when

The story began with a letter, which pulled me in from the start. Neve and Rory write back and forth for months, forming a friendship, while he is in Afghanistan. Their banter ranges from comical to sometimes steamy. When Rory finally returns home on leave, they meet for a few fiery moments. Until, there is a huge misunderstanding. Before Rory can clear things up, he must return to duty. After Rory’s tour ends, he goes to find Neve before he heads home. Neve has already decided she wants nothing ...more

My what I expected at all. I didn't read the first book in this series so I have no idea if Neve and Rory's story started there or in this book but I was a little lost.

I thought it would be more pen pals for a while then meeting but what we got was some letters and they had sex, then didn't talk for months and now Rory's back in the states and he wants to explain what happened.

I like Rory better then I liked Neve. I am glad she wanted to change her life but she just kept putting herself in awk

Oh, Rory! What a phenomenal book, with great character development, and a wonderful romance. Are Neve and Rory traditional heroine/Heroes? No. But there is something magical about the way Marcus spins a tale of modern romance with two utterly normal human beings. There no catch, no additional unnecessary drama; it's just the life of two people who have to overcome trials and tribulations to be with one another. I loved every second of it.

All I Need is You is book two in the Loving You Series and is full of emotion, conflict, and misunderstandings. Two people who start out as pen pals but emerge as much more. Neve and Rory were complicated and not without their faults, but there is no denying their attraction to one another. Another enjoyable read from Wendy S. Marcus.
