I read the earlier edition when I began my research in 1979. There were three titles, Irish Families, More Irish Families, and Supplement to Irish Families. I am not sure if all three volumes are included in this newer 1998 edition. It is a wonderful resource for locating Irish clans and families in Ireland, with information going back to the dawn of Irish memory. Some of the families trace their lineage to back before the time of Christ. Only notable figures from each family are listed however, ...more
