I have read most of the works by LB Dunbar and with each book the creativity and story development keeps getting better. Touch Screen is no exception. Since I first read Taste Test, I have been pulled into the Scott family and their close knit community. Gavin Scott had been made reference to in previous stories, but in this book he is home in all his glory. I love that Ms. Dunbar keeps the reader abreast of the happenings in the lives of all her beloved characters from the previous books in the ...more

Holy Wow! Gavin Scott is somkin”!
Gavin and Brittion were high school summer lovers in Elk Rapids where Gavin lived and Brittion visited her uncle each summer of high school. After 7 years of being in California Gavin returns to his home town for a film festival and sees Brittion with her son Gee. What Gavin doesn’t expect is to have the same feelings for her that he had then, especially since he has a girlfriend at home. A

*****Warning this book will make you emotional***
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I loved this book. It was beautifully written as well as an awesome story. I found myself feeling the emotions of the Characters. So get your tissues ready. I also felt happiness, so it is not all sad.

Gavin returns to his hometown after seven years of being away, trying to escape a disapproving father. While back at home for his best friend's wedding and film festival, Britton and him rekindle t

What can I say? LB Dunbar writes beautifully. I love the gentle pace of the story unfolding. The descriptions of the lake, farm and town are beautifully painted. Many of the background characters we have met in previous stories, but Gavin, having been away from Elk Rapids for an extended period of time, we don't know too much about at the start., having returned for the film festival and Jess and Emily's wedding. We are also introduced to Britton. We get to know more about Gavin and Britton both ...more

Gavin Scott left for California to follow his dream of making movies and to escape his small town home. He returned home after 7 years for the premiere of his first indie movie at the film festival in a nearby town. Gavin is also reunited with the woman who was his teenage summertime sweetheart, Britton McKay. Gavin remains in town to attend a friend's wedding and has his world is turned upside down when a secret is finally revealed.
This is an amazing story. The characters are wonderful and are

Holy cow! I am ashamed to say that this is the first book of LB’s that I have read and I am currently asking myself, why? Gavin and Britton’s story was phenomenal. This book evoked so many emotions that I was floored at how skillfully written these characters were. I was not sure if I wanted to punch Gavin or take him out for a beer. While I cannot say that I completely agree with Britton’s decision regarding their son, I can say that I do understand why she handled things the way that she did. ...more

I loved everything about this book except George Carpenter. He's such a slimy bastard.

But seriously, I have so deeply enjoyed following the Scott and Carter families through this series. The stories just get better and I'm so glad Gavin was given a HEA because he truly was not happy at the beginning of his story. Absolutely recommend this book (and all the others).

Another hit in the Sensations Collection by L.B. Dunbar. I know that I say it in all of my reviews of this series but I am so glad that randomly responded to a post on Facebook about reviewing the first book in this Series, Sound Advice, because I have loved each book since even more than the first. I hope there is more to come from this series as well as the others that L.B. is working on. I loved that I have gotten to read every book by this author an

Anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely adore LB and anything she writes but as with the movies when you hear that there is a 3rd, 4th and especially a 5th sequel you get worried that it will be repetitive and that you won't love it as much as the first 2 but that is not the case here. The way LB weaves her tales is magical. She pulls you in right from the very first chapter, giving the right amount of detail about everything and everyone without going into too much detail as some authors t ...more

The epic story of the Carters and Scotts continues. Now is Gavin's turn.

If you have read the Synopsis, you know Gavin is the prodigal son. After seven years, he is returning home to the Film Festival that features his first feature film and to stay on for his best friend's wedding. He is rather lost once he starts revisiting the old hangouts. Heck! He even feels like a stranger at his parents' home where he was born.

Seven years have passed and a lot has changed. Even little detail

Another 5 Star read from LB Dunbar. Touch Screen is the forth book in the Sensations Collection but it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend all of the books in the Sensation Collection. You will not be disappointed.

In Touch Screen we meet Gavin Scott. He left Elk Rapids behind when he left for college. California is his home as he pursues his dream of making movies. He returns to Michigan as his first movie was a featured film of the Traverse City Film Festival. When he returns he see

Ok, if I can wrap my mind around this and stop crying. Yes you will cry and for many reasons. So tissues ladies and lots of them.

LB you always seem to blow me away. I love all your books but Sound Advice was very dear to me. Yet, you have managed to make it a tie. This book will speak to you in so many levels. I loved the pov. It's always so much more touching when you see a relationship through the guy's eyes. Gavin had it all. He made you love him, hate him, worry for him, but most of all hop

LB Dunbar has done it yet again with this book. This is the fourth book in The Sensations Collection and it/s by far my favorite one of all.

I want to say this book is about second chances but it’s not. This book is about loving someone for years and not realizing it until a chance meeting brings you back together. Gavin Scott who is Ethan's brother (Taste Test) returns home to Elk Rapids for his first film festival. There he runs into an old summer fling Britton McKay. Like I said before this bo

I have enjoyed this series as well as this book. The hero of the story was imperfect but gradually realized towards the end of the book what really mattered. Gavin and Britton were summer lovers while they were teenagers but grew apart once Gavin attended college in California. They reconnected when he went back to his childhood home in Michigan to attend a film festival. Through majority of the book, Gavin was a self-centered individual. He was willing to make sacrifices for his career as a dir ...more

Gavin's return home was such a great story. For him, even defining what exactly is home and where exactly is home becomes a challenge as he faces family he has barely seen for years and a summer love he never forgot when he sees Britton. I enjoyed this journey of Gavin finding his way, discovering what is really the most important and even reevaluating if his dreams and wants are the same or worth what he has given up to attain them.

This book can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend

4.5 STARS

I very much love Dunbar, her stories are original, that grab you and hold on to you. Her characters are everyday people, the repair man, the cook, the EMT, the book store clerk, a student, travel writer, and author, and an indie director. All these people have real issues, problems that we all know someone who went through these issues, of heard of these issues from people we know. Dunbar's characters are relatable, and sometimes after reading all the millionaire books getting into a bo

4.5 moonlit stars!

I really adore the Sensations Collection and this book is no exception. Once again I was easily drawn into the story and felt a connection to the characters. I don't think I ever rooted so hard for a couple as I did for Gavin and Britton while at the same time wanting to yell "wake up!" - but that is what is brilliant about this story. Sometimes we are so blinded by what we think we want that we can't see what is right in front of us. Life and dreams change. I loved watching Ga

DNF at 31%. I just couldn't get into nor comfortable with this book. I'm not a fan of books that go back and forth in time and this one does a lot. And then, it also darts in and out of scenes from a movie and then goes back to real time. It was very hard for me to read and retain. Also, one of the plotlines of the book is fairly obvious right from the start. But we dance around the subject and at a third of the way in I was very frustrated that the hero didn't realize something that was so obvi ...more

Gavin, Gavin, Gavin....i swear at some points i wanted to slap this man upside his head for not seeing what was in front of him! Another hit out of the park for LB Dunbar. She has created a wonderful story for Gavin and Britton, one that will stick with me for awhile. This is a touching story of summer love that falters, and makes all who read it wish they had that one special summer love to remember as well. If you love sweet romantic books....this is one for your shelf.

Another home run from LB

I can't even begin to express the mad love I have for these characters. They way they all mingle in this collection is amazing and they totally feel like family. I smiled, I laughed, I had a couple of meltdowns. This book is everything I've come to expect from LB and more. This journey has been amazing and nobody can tell a story like her.

Okay. Let's try to write a short review this time because with everything I'm feeling right now, I feel like I'm going to be saying a lot. A lot of good things. I truly, truly loved this book. Going in, I didn't expect much because I felt like the premise was too common. I was wrong, and I have never been more pleasantly surprised ever.

This book in the series touched me in unimaginable ways. The single mother, going thru troubles and pregnancy on her own holding on to her belief that if she shared her secret it would destroy another's wishes. the self-centered man Gavin who thought of no one but himself thereby missing what was in front of his face. I am enjoying this series surrounding the townspeople of Elk Rapids. Touch Screen is book 4, and while it could be read as a standalone, it will definitely be more enjoyed if read as part of the series. The couple in this story, Gavin and Britton, have their own story to tell, but we also get glimpses of the couples from the previous books.
