Giving a Chance

Rate this book
A choice between two guys should be every girls dream, but it’s not as easy as you would think.
Bonnie has never struggled to get male attention, in fact quite the opposite. But following a nasty break up she has commitment issues and doesn’t want to tie herself down to one guy.
Happily living the single life, she has been sleeping with Matt and Joseph. Both guys have their good qualities and Bonnie doesn’t see the need to make a choice, that is until Matt demands she chooses one of them. Matt’s idea is clear, she dates each boy for a week then makes her mind up. What sounds like a simple idea soon turns out more complicated than Bonnie could ever have thought. So with both boys pulling out all the stops and playing their ace cards, it’s a fun filled fortnight for Bonnie.
Is it possible to have such strong feelings for two guys? Bonnie has got it bad for both. And at the end of the two weeks will she be able to make a decision?

Kacey Hamford has done it again, writing a book I couldn’t put down. I read this in one sitting, which extended well past my bedtime to find out how it ended. Kacey didn’t disappoint.

Bonnie is torn between two men who unfortunately happen to be flatmates. They push her to pick one. Her solution is date one each week without being around or talking with the other and then make her decision between them. Sounds easy, right? Add in a crazy ex, jealous men, doubt, lies, pain, an unexpected woman entering the picture and kidnapping and you’ve got what she goes through to pick the man she loves. But she does get to meet Flix from Kacey’s Rocking series. It was good to see them.

This is a great read that will have you laughing, cursing, reaching for the tissue box and fanning yourself at the steamy sex scenes. And there are plenty of them for you. The continued development of the characters in this series have them virtually walking off the pages to everyday life. Bonnie and her love’s journey (I won’t give away who she chooses) shows us how fragile our love and lives can be. I highly recommend the entire series!

This is a second book in the series and is written as a stand-alone. You do not need to read the first one to understand this book.

***GIVING A CHANCE is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. Aimed at a mature audience 18 + due to mature content***

I absolutely love a good juicy love triangle in a story, and when it's written right it blows my mind!! GIVING A CHANCE by Kacey Hamford did just that.

This story in the CHANCE SERIES follows the love triangle between Joseph, Matt and Bonnie.
Bonnie has some serious choices to make, as being in love with two guys at once isn't the fairytale that it's been cracked up to be. Add in Bonnie's commitment issues, and you have a whole cauldron full of problems in the mix.

Bonnie was a character that I warmed to immediately in book one of the series. Yes, she's a bit of a female player who's never without male attention, but she's strong. She's feisty, and she's got her own story to tell. You learn pretty quickly that Bonnie's behaviour is just a coat of armour which she hides behind. An armour intended to hide her weakened heart, and make her appear stronger than she actually is. She's been hurt before and doesn't intend to make the same mistake again. So, what starts out as a bit of fun sleeping with two guys, who just so happen to be friends, soon becomes a whole complicated mess when it becomes clear that they want her to make a choice.

Bonnie is given an ultimatum...

You have to spend one week separately with each guy, then it's decision time!

But it's just not that simple when you love both guys for different reasons. Que. two weeks filled with laughs, drama, suspense, and an ex who is determined to have Bonnie back at any cost.

All of the characters are strong in this story, and I loved how Rose and Jacob still played an integral part of this instalment of the series. We also have the added bonus of another character in GIVING A CHANCE, Jamie-Lee, but you will just have to read it to find out all about her ;)

Overall GIVING A CHANCE is a well written, must read which sucks you in and leaves wanting more. Well done Kacey.

I love Kacey as a writer, as she makes sure that you are kept captive with her stories. This was no different. I loved all the characters, as this is the second in the Chances series. It's a story about finding the person you have that unshakeable, unbreakable love with. At first, I was really confused with what was happening as you got no real warning of the story and the storyline but the more I read, the more I got carried into the story.
I adored Joseph, as he is a fighter with a huge heart and a soft personality when he's not in the ring. Bonnie is a strong lady who is finding herself stuck between two men. Her journey was lovely to read about, as you can't help but love her. Rose and Jacob are just amazing, just like they were in the first book.
Overall, I loved the story but I would have liked to see a bit more history with Jamie-Lee and what Damien was up to before he showed up. I think having a little more background into the characters would have made this book even more amazing.
This is a must read, as its such a light romance book, that has the hot guys, drama and its of love!

I loved this book!! I received it from the author for an honest review and that's w loved hat I'm going to do - This book was about a girl who cared about two men and she was going to chose one of them. I instantly fell in love with Joseph - Bonnie got to see a side of him that he didn't show everyone else. He got her and they were perfect for each other in my eyes anyways lol. Then there was Matt - he was hot, possessive and was also super amazing too. I won't spoil who she chose - you have to read the book for that! this story has alot of ups and downs for these relationships and even an ex of bonnies makes an appearance. you will love this book - it was heart wrenching and I couldn't put it down! these characters were great and of course rose and Jacob were in this book too. which was a plus! if you have read kacey's books in the past you will see a surprise of guests in this book from her prior books. No spoiler!! I just couldn't get enough of this book and I look forward to reading more from her :)

Kacey Hamford has done it again. In Taking A Chance, we have met all the character you will find in her newest book, Giving A Chance ; which, I might add, made me quite happy. The author's style of writing is crisp, quick and sharp as a sword. Her readers don't get lost in the over usage of flowery description which makes this book an easy and pleasurable read Easy read indeed! Easy except for the angst of Bonnie's indecision of who she wanted, Joseph or Matt; both hunks. My frustration came into play when I saw her refuse to listen to her heart instead of her past experience. I must admit, by taking her time and surviving her trials, she chose the one just for her; allowing Giving A Chance to have a great ending. If you haven't read Taking a Chance and Giving A Chance; grab them both and settle down for an afternoon of a sexy adventure.

Another fantastic Kacey Hamford book which I couldn’t put down.
Bonnie has a big decision to make, who to choose….Matt or Joseph?? The only problem being that she has been seeing them both and Matt and Joseph are friends. However is the person she picks really the right one for her? Then there’s the additional drama of a mystery women who is pregnant, an ex boyfriend who decides he wants Bonnie back and some other things which I won’t mention so I don’t spoil the story for you. There are tears, laughter, love and drama in this book which will keep you turning the pages until the very end. It was a lovely surprise that Flix make an appearance in this story as well. Another 5 stars for Kacey!

Giving A Chance by Kacey Hamford is the second in a sweet NA series. In Taking A Chance, we met Bonnie, Rose's best friend, and knew that she had had her heart broken badly by her ex. Now she finds that two men she started out having a little fun with have fallen in love with her and she's having feelings for both of them. But how will she decide between Matt, the good guy, and Joseph, the bad guy with a heart of gold? How does she open her heart again and take a chance on love?
Kacey Hamford is an excellent author. She makes you feel part of the story and part of the characters lives. With the dual POVs, she helps you understand what each character is feeling and thinking. And she can write one heck of a hot love scene!

Where can I get me a Joseph?!

This book focuses on Joseph, Matt and Bonnie with mentions of previous characters. Like his brother in their previous book Joseph is also the strong alpha type. Matt is another alpha male. Add Bonnie into the mix and you have a fantastic story which Kacey has created here.

From the first chapter to the last I was left with my heart in my mouth, tears in my eyes and a smile on my face. Yet another roller coaster ride of emotions and excitement.

I for one can not wait for future installments from these books. I am definitely hooked and look will wait with baited breath for the next book.

Wow this was another excellent book in the series about Bonnie, we started off with a love triangle between Bonnie,Joseph and Matt, and that was really making me shout at my kindle, got so into the book, im glad once she was with who she was always suppost to be with from the beginning in my opinion,it just kept getting better with a few surprises along the way, love hearing more from Jacob and rose, and also some other new characters which appear in this book.I was really happy with the ending couldn't ask for anything better.

So Kacey does it again with another awesome book, keep up the great work.

I loved this book! Like Bonnie, I had a hard time choosing between Joseph and Matt. Joseph captured my heart from the beginning but Matt's passion stoked my fires. Who to choose? I didn't envy Bonnie's dilemma. Besides the love triangle, this story goes through many ups and downs. Jealousy, crazy exes and lies surround the characters but eventually Bonnie gets her HEA. Just like with Taking A Chance, I couldn't put this one down. I blame Kacey Hamford's wonderful writing for my lack of sleep! I'm not complaining though. I look forward to more sleepless nights with her books. I highly recommend you read Giving A Chance. If you haven't read Taking A Chance, grab that one too!

Bonnie has a big decision to make, which man is she going to chose? Matt or Joseph? For months, she has been seeing and sleeping with both but knowing it's not healthy she gives them a week each to spend with her. who will she chose? Will they live happily ever after?

I love this series, I love the characters and the storyline is always strong. I think I squealed quite a lot close to the end, and had a fat smile across my face at the end. absolutely brilliant!

Aimed at audience of 18+ with some sexual content.

Bonnie has such a big decision to which man she is going to choose to hold her heart Joseph or Matt?
She had been seeing and sleeping with both of them knowing it wasn't right to play with both of their hearts.
she decided to give them both a week of their attention and to get to know them?
Will she have the happiness she deserves? ?
wow kacey loving the series so far you couldn't help but smile and giggle and small tear near the end so magical.
Fabulous read

I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book was just as amazing as the first one even though this one was about Bonnie,Joesph and Matt. Poor Boonie had some tough descions to make but in the end I think she chose very wisley. Very well written and of course this is full of drama and angst just like the first book. Loved the epilogue and was happy to see all the characters lives in the future. Looking forward to reading more from this wonderful author.

Unbelievable read

I was blown away by this book. It is a fabulous read. I love the storyline of Bonnie dating Matt for a week and then dating Joseph for a week to decide which one she wants to stay with. I highly recommend reading Taking a Chance first to get all the details leading up to book 2.

Lovely coming of age story by this intense British author. I love how she infuses the culture into every aspect of the story and brings the characters to such vivid life. I really enjoyed the balance of action and love triangles in this particular storyline.
