The second book in the YA Norse Paranormal Romance series, 'Desirable Creatures,' is brimming with action, romance, suspense, and heartache, and will have you at the edge of your seat from the very first page until the shocking ending.

When Anthony is murdered in cold blood, Sonia has two choices: to stay in mortality and move on with her life, or to travel to Helheim, the realm of the dead, to claim him back. However, the only way Sonia can enter Helheim is by pledging her fifth Huldra gift to her archenemy Maureen.

Little does Sonia know, that her gift is crucial in stopping the age-old war between the Huldras, Darkálfars and Lightálfars, and that if she gives it to Maureen, the very gates of Helheim could be opened, allowing the dead to roam the Earth for seven years.

REVIEW :

For love , Sonia brakes the rules and codes , When Anthony ( Her Love) dies , she trade her most dangerous , super-talented gift to bring him back to life . But when she finds out that he's not who she remembers and better at the same time , she's so confused . She sacrificed a lot while HE shows , he doesn't want her anymore and moved on in his afterlife, and with the war between the supernaturals , she gets lost , not knowing who to trust or who not to .

I'm in love with Sonia's world ! This book was very twisted and interesting ! well written , who wouldn't get crazy about it ?? it throw you right into action and missing heart-beat's plot .I had high expectation for it cause the first book in the series was the best ! I wasn't disappointed , I got more then I wanted . It didn't get me bored at all , all the while I'm reading I got hit by many twists and action-packed love and adventure . Generated by lovely well lighted characters . As I was hungry for more , the double it gave . I honestly think book 2 was much superior then book 1 , but then again they both are astonishing !

I wish this series never Ends ! I can't contain my excitement ! I recommend this book to everyone .It's a must !

Evelyn J. Squires is a very good writer . I truly think all her books are beyond perfect so don't miss this awesome enjoyable books ! Just give the first page of each book a try and you'll stick to them like glue afterwards .

A brilliant continuation of the amazing story in Wraithsong, the author has done justice to the story completely, i totally agree with Anthony's Dilemma in this book and im sure anybody in his situation would have done the same. So it is with Sonia's disability to figure out Anthony, the book keeps you hooked so much so that i read it over three times and still is so interesting as if im reading for the first time, cant wait for the next book to come out in this series. Again one of the most refreshing books i have read most recently.... My wishes to the author to keep continuing writing success for sure is her's.

After reading "Wraithsong" book one in the Desirable Creatures series I said it was my favorite series beating out "Twilight" and "City of Bones". The next book in this series did not disappoint. It was amazing with nonstop action. I couldn't put it down. I love the idea of another world going on around us without us even knowing. These books are based on Norse Mythology which is very intriguing.

Spoiler Alert below if you haven't read book one:

Sonia is crushed, she has lost Anthony. His own mother Maureen shot and killed him. She escaped with Olaf and the other Darkalfars. Sonia's mom and the other Huldra's have taken back Wraithsong Island. The Lightalfars plan to help go after Maureen and Olaf. Sonia is determined to save Anthony. She can take the Portal of Blufire to Helheim, a world where the nine realms are and where the dead of the supernatural go. Layla who is a Darkalfar is helping Sonia or so it seems. When Olaf appears and gives Sonia a way to make it to Helheim she makes “a deal with the devil”. She will give her Huldra special power to Maureen to save Anthony. When Sonia arrives in Helheim she’s quickly captured and taken to be judged and sentenced for disobeying the laws of entering Helheim as a human. When Anthony turns up as one of the judges she can't believe she found him but he wants nothing to do with her and refuses to come back with her. Sonia is crushed once again. All hell breaks loose and the Darkalfars are going to war against the Huldra’s and Lightalfars of Helheim. Sonia figures out a way to help and even if she can’t have Anthony she can at least save her people. With death and war all around there’s plenty of heartache. Most of book two takes place in Helheim where the stories of Thor and Loki come from. It’s all very fascinating and the story ends with still a lot more to come. I’m amazed by E.J. Squires and her amazing talent to write such profound and out of the ordinary stories.

Hard to put down...wanting to know what happens next.

"The second book in the YA Norse Paranormal Romance series, 'Desirable Creatures,' is brimming with action, romance, suspense, and heartache, and will have you at the edge of your seat from the very first page until the shocking ending."

I enjoy the bouncing around with anticipation of what's to come.
The only drawbacks tend to be repetitiveness and lack of grace from the reaction of a character when activities intensify or flutter.

Still...I rather enjoy E.J. Squires writing and I am able to read it as though I am dreaming it.

Waiting for #3 in this series.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series but this one fell short of my expectations. However I will still be reading the next book in the series to find out what happens to the wonderful characters in the story.
