Absolute perfection.
This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, as I knew it would be. The way it starts out so hot and slowly morphs into characters being happy (and scared) about this thing that you can only share the happiness about but at the same time, it’s like standing on a cliff waiting to be pushed off, because you know what’s coming, you know it’s going to hurt so bad and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
The author wrote Ellie’s story so incredibly delicate, with so much care, in-depth (and informative), and just beautifully painful. I just want to give her a hug, because she has gone through so much, some of it completely alone, and having your body betray you like that, is such a helpless feeling. Her story and her pain was so raw and it hurt to read, it was so well written that even though it might never be possible to fully comprehend and feel the pain, anxiety, fear, and self doubt that she felt (unless you’ve been through something similar), it was impossible to not feel a whole lot of it deep in your bones. I think these kinds of topics are often not talked about (enough), because some people might find that it shouldn’t be talked about (which I wholeheartedly disagree with) and for a lot of people it is just incredibly painful to talk about, but it is so important. It is so important that everybody going through it, knows they are not alone, that it is not their fault, that they didn’t fail, that they aren’t selfish for making certain choices, and that they get the support they need. It is important that topics surrounding women’s health and reproduction aren’t ignored, swept under the rug, or minimalised, so thank you to Amelie Rhys for sharing this story with us, because it is so important.
Ellie is so incredibly strong, even if/when her mind tries to convince her otherwise - and other negative, completely false thoughts about who she is and what she deserves - and I just want to give her a hug. She is brave and she is strong and she deserves to have confidence in her body. And nobody can fault her for the choices she made because she thought she was doing the right thing even though it is not what would make her the happiest (or Sully for that matter). My heart broke for them both so much, both in the flashbacks and obviously in the present… the way the things played out, the things that were said, the assumptions that were made.
And let’s not forget that this was traumatising for Sully too and - just like everything else, because this book is an absolute masterpiece - that too was written so incredibly well. The helplessness of not being able to do anything whilst having to see the person you love most in the world hurting so badly (in both timelines). I think it was beautiful how Sully clearly grew, learned, and was a lot more mature in the present. Like, yes he tried to be there as much as possible and researched etc 7 years ago, but he was also barely an adult and it makes sense that he wasn’t able to know and be everything he wanted to be and what Ellie needed (especially because he didn’t know everything). The fact that he recognised that himself and learned from that shows how much he’s grown and how much he cares about Ellie. I swear, this man is just the biggest green flag ever (you’ll see what I’m saying, like green flag capital G).
There is so much heartbreak and pain in this story but the way Ellie and Sully come together during this tragedy is so incredibly beautiful. They supported each other and - with a little Annie nudge - put back together what was broken and needed a new start. They are each other’s sunshine (yellow people, yellow) and I just can’t… I just love them so much. The flashbacks were one of my favourite things about this book - as they always are in Amelie’s books. Sellie is so incredibly cute together, like they are SOULMATES. The way Sullie saw Ellie and immediately knew that no one else mattered (I’ll say it once again, Amelie Rhys is the QUEEN of ‘it’s always been you’). He met her first!!! Also the way that she has always seen him and let him be exactly who he is. And the present too, they are so perfect together and the little ways they kept telling each other ‘I (still) love you’ without actually saying it…gaahhhhhh OBSESSED!! I just cannot stop saying how much I love them, how cute they are together, how PERFECT they are together, like they’re basically the same person and it works so well for them. There are so many moments that you’re gonna absolutely swoon about and ugh I’m just so excited for everyone to read about them.
Omg and I have a new fave microtrope —> SHE CUTS HIS HAIR!!! It gives the same vibes as an mmc washing the fmcs hair and I’m totally here for it!!
Oh and I have to mention the relationship between Ellie and the other Londons, because I’m so obsessed with it. The way they took her in and she found what she desperately needed with them… ugh I’m gonna tear up thinking about it. Theo being the best big brother, the same goes for Blake, for both Ellie and Sullie btw. And her friendship with Natalie is one that everybody deserves at least one of in their lives. I love the way they just know each other and the way Natalie responded to Ellie when she shared her pain with her. Like, obviously Sellie is the epitome of being in love with your best friend, but her and Nat have such a special connection too and I love that for Ellie. And Delaney, well you’ll find out but I love her so much!!! I also loved how her and her mom ended up btw, she deserved that so much.
Also, if you’ve made it this far in my ramble: hey hello glad to have you. Now, I need to tell you about the couch scene. That scene is arguably the hottest scene I’ve ever read in any book. Like hello hot damn. These two are obviously electric together, they have amazing chemistry and they know each other - and each other’s bodies - so well, they know exactly what makes the other person tick. Also, Sully has a filthy mouth hehehehehe I love it. All the spice scenes were hot and incredible but the couch scene takes the cake!
So just in short: incredible writing that will completely immerse you and make you feel all the joy and pain the characters are feeling. Incredible characters that I love so much, they are everything to me and I am so happy they’re happy, because they deserve the world. Incredible storytelling, I just did not want this book to end…
I can’t wait for Theo’s book (literally foaming at the mouth, I’m not even kidding), I go feral for a professor mmc and I need it right now please. I love how we see the other characters in every one of Amelie’s books because I love all of these characters so much. I just want to read endless of books about all of them being happy and domestic and one big happy family.

What a beautiful, but also heartbreaking, second-chance romance.
This story was definitely an up and down. Sully is the definition of down bad, the yearning is absolutely unreal! You can’t help but root for Sully and Ellie. They are each other’s first and only everything and throughout all the heartbreak, grief, love, yearning and longing, they always only have eyes for each other.
Amelie perfectly captured how deeply these two missed each other. Their breakup wasn’t caused by a lack of love, but rather by miscommunication and the belief that letting go was the right thing to do. It becomes clear that neither of them can truly live without the other and even while they are apart, they quietly keep watching over one another from a distance.
Through both the present timeline and the flashbacks, you get to see how much they grow individually, but also how they grow together once they reconnect. They would both sacrifice everything for each other and the unconditional love they share is just beautiful. Watching them heal together was one of my favorite parts of the story.
I also really loved the found family aspect and the unconditional support from their friends and family. It was so nice to see familiar faces again. The people around them recognize what they’re going through, but instead of interfering, they allow Sully and Ellie to work through it themselves while quietly offering support whenever it’s needed.
As Amelie states, this is not a pregnancy story, it’s a story that includes an on page pregnancy loss. Please check the trigger warnings before reading.
I don’t mind longer books, but my only criticism is that I think the book could have been a little shorter and despite its length, the ending felt a bit abrupt. I just felt like something was missing in those final chapters.
Overall, this was a beautiful and emotional story.

i discovered amelie rhys when she used to write on wattpad and ever since i’ve been obsessed with her. She writes emotions like no other does and she delivered again with this book.
The story of Ellie and Sully was a heartbreaking one and definitely had its share of ups and downs but thats what made it even more beautiful. Seeing them be there for each other when things got rough and then better just had be bawling!!
The writing was EXCEPTIONALLY amazing (just as i knew it would be) and it was really amazing to see the found family and how much love ellie and sully were surrounded by.
I loved the characters so much and Sully just had my heart. There’s something about MMC who yearns that i can never get over and that man, deserves the best!!
Ellie has been through so much and i just want to protect her. Her story was filled with pain and tragedy so I cant be any more happy that she got her happy ending.
Again at home was an amazing read and a story which is gonna be in my heart for quite some time. I loved the snippets we got of ther fouples and im anticipating the next amelie book already!

The family. The emotional roller coaster. The YEARNING.
I can’t say enough good things about this series / this book. It was super sweet to get the flashbacks to their younger selves and see what was going through their heads at the time.
I lovedddd the open dialogue they had with each other and the patience that Sully showed…… utter perfection and I’m in awe of the way Amelie was able to write it so perfectly. The loss in this book was handled with great care and I couldn’t have thought of a better way to have it be discussed so openly.
Unfortunately for me I am already looking forward to the final book in the series and I simply will have to reread the whole series again to keep myself going.

Firstly, thanks to Love Notes PR and Amelie Rhys for the e-ARC of Again At Home, book 5 of The Wildflower Series in exchange of an honest review. I think is important for me to say that this is my second time reading the book as I was part of the sensitivity reading process.
A very QUICK, and short (REALLY SHORT) synopsis of the book: Again at Home, follows Ellie Summers and Sully London, two exes that never really have moved on from their relationship, having a one night stands that well...leads to a surprise pregnancy.
Review:
Look, I will go right into it, I loved this book. Not only have I come to adore the London family and the universe that Amelie has created with The Wildflower Series, but I've also loved to see how much Amelie has grown as an author throughout it. IMO, her writing keeps getting better every book and I am NOT ready to see this series come to an end next year (although I am excited to see whatever comes next).
While Again at Home is a romance that guarantees a happy ending, it takes a bit to get there. We obviously have a second chance romance with Ellie and Sully and by that alone we expect (and see) some tension and yearning from both of our characters, (THIS IS NOT A SPOILER, Amalie has been VERY open and clear about the contents of the book) but we also have pregnancy loss and health anxiety. Topics that are heavy and heartbreaking. However, they were handled with SO MUCH CARE, so much love, so much respect and honesty. Amelie's love for these characters really shines in the way she wrote their story and how beautifully she presents such hard topics. I am sure that it can make people that have gone through similar situations feel seen.
Everything from Ellie's history with PE, and her miscarriage was handled with so much care. While I have not experienced neither of those things, I've worked with both, and other illnesses that not only take a toll physically on patients, but also mentally and emotionally. Miscarriges are not talked about enough, and the reality of the situation is that while in most cases pregnancy loss is not preventable, the burden that falls upon the pregnant person is an extremely complicated type of grief. I remember a patient telling me "how can i grief something I didn't have, someone I didn't know?", and while I still have no anwser for that, the only thing I could say was "take the pain day by day, and remember that she didn't need to deal with any of it alone. Because no one has to". I am glad Ellie had people around her that supported her, I am so glad she gave herself time to heal. I am also glad we could see how Sully dealt with everything, how supportive he was, how he also learned from his mistakes and once again proved to Ellie how big and faithful his love for her is.
When it comes to the romance, I think the balance between past and present was PERFECT. The resolution of their break up was beautiful. I hope people understand and feel through their story how their love and chemistry was never an issue, rather the fact that they were young, they had things they needed to accomplish and face before coming back together stronger. Ellie's struggles with health anxiety are VERY real, and while yes, they could've talked about it more before breaking up, they were both young, scared and still finding themselves. Their brake up was necessary. Both of them were naïve, young love that thinks life can't get in the way. They needed the time to grow individually for it to actually work in the future, and it did!

Everything from Ellie's history with PE, and her miscarriage was handled with so much care. While I have not experienced neither of those things, I've worked with both, and other illnesses that not only take a toll physically on patients, but also mentally and emotionally. Miscarriges are not talked about enough, and the reality of the situation is that while in most cases pregnancy loss is not preventable, the burden that falls upon the pregnant person is an extremely complicated type of grief. I remember a patient telling me "how can i grief something I didn't have, someone I didn't know?", and while I still have no anwser for that, the only thing I could say was "take the pain day by day, and remember that she didn't need to deal with any of it alone. Because no one has to". I am glad Ellie had people around her that supported her, I am so glad she gave herself time to heal. I am also glad we could see how Sully dealt with everything, how supportive he was, how he also learned from his mistakes and once again proved to Ellie how big and faithful his love for her is.
When it comes to the romance, I think the balance between past and present was PERFECT. The resolution of their break up was beautiful. I hope people understand and feel through their story how their love and chemistry was never an issue, rather the fact that they were young, they had things they needed to accomplish and face before coming back together stronger. Ellie's struggles with health anxiety are VERY real, and while yes, they could've talked about it more before breaking up, they were both young, scared and still finding themselves. Their brake up was necessary. Both of them were naïve, young love that thinks life can't get in the way. They needed the time to grow individually for it to actually work in the future, and it did!

Again at Home is stunning. I’m not surprised. Amelie Rhys has an incredible way of putting so much heart into her books and giving you, as her reader, a safe space to feel every emotion under the sun. Again at Home is not for the feint of heart; it is tragic and raw and gut-wrenching, but it is also beautiful. Please check your trigger warnings going into this book, and pay close attention to Amelie’s author’s note.
I knew I loved Sully from the moment Gemma met him, so getting to follow his own journey now was so satisfying, yet in such a bittersweet way. Without exaggeration, I can safely say that every single thing that he said during the first 20% of this book brought a knot to my throat and a tear to my eye. There are down bad men and then there is Sully, a man so obviously in love and yet in so much pain. He has such a beautiful and gentle soul, and he deserves happiness for all eternity.
Ellie, oh Ellie. It’s hard to find the words. She has been through so much in such a short life, and my heart ached for her constantly throughout this book. Again at Home is dedicated to anyone who feels betrayed by their own body, so I knew this book would tear me open and scratch at my own scars but I was not ready for Ellie. I don’t want to give away her story, but I will say that Amelie Rhys wrote it with such grace and respect but, more than anything, with truth. Ellie’s story is so real in such a heartbreaking way, and I felt everything she felt so strongly. It was beautiful and tragic and I just want to hold her and rock her and tell her everything will be okay!
Ellie and Sully’s love story is a little different to many other childhood lovers stories. We don’t get the ins and outs of every first. We don’t get awkward stages and confusion and miscommunication. We get snippets of their past, absolutely, but the memories are always so sure of themselves. They reflect so clearly the fact that Ellie and Sully’s love is inevitable. They are soulmates, destined to meet, and nothing will stand in their way. As much as I like reading all the firsts in other books, I’m glad we skipped them here because it just solidified the fact that Ellie and Sully were always Ellie and Sully. There were no “if”s, no “maybe”s. It was always them.
Again at Home was a delight as much as it was a tragedy. The London family is one we all want to be apart of, and I loved spending time with Theo especially. What an angel. I can’t wait for his happy ending. Amongst the heartbreak, there was banter, between friends and between family. There was flirtation, between Ellie and Sully, of course. There was sexual tension through the roof, even when they were sworn off of each other. This book really has it all.
Amelie Rhys continues to get better and better with every book. I don’t know who she continually outdoes herself, yet here we are. Again at Home hurt but I loved every page and I’m so glad I was able to read it.

If I had to write a review of this book (which I’m doing right now), I’d say I read it in three phases: pain, anger, and then happiness. And why? Because, honestly, this book makes you express absolutely all of those emotions (you experience them intensely) and when you realize it, it’s actually liberating. I’ll be honest: this is my FIRST book by this author and, therefore, the first in the series. I don’t know much about the previous ones, but reading this one hurt so much. It felt like a stake through my heart, and feeling that pain was totally worth it. The story is simple and complex at the same time: two childhood sweethearts reunite under unexpected circumstances, and from that night a small consequence takes on a life of its own and after that… what comes next? Happiness? A reunion? Sadness? It’s all of those things.
Phase 1: The Pain. We see Eleanor and Sullivan meet again after so many years since their relationship ended; their anxiety and pain are palpable, along with that unwavering longing. She feels everything he has always wanted in life, and he is exactly what she had hoped for in a future with him: a family, being part of something bigger. Ellie is very intelligent, but at the same time, that intelligence comes at a very high cost: her decisions. She’s someone who has been through a great deal, and much of it she’s faced alone, it’s been raw and tough. On the other hand, we have Sully; he’s just right he’s the one who’s always there, supportive, quiet, attentive but he also suffers in his own way, hiding behind his work or by being there for his brothers.
Stage 2: Anger. The hardest stage, because with anger we can do a lot, and most of the time it ends in destruction except that in this case, the anger was completely absorbed by something more beautiful: a support network and a safe space. Ellie and Sully understand that they are exactly what they need one for the other and even though circumstances ended in the worst possible way, they have each other, whether it’s to build with Legos or to sit on the front porch. The anger is still there, but they decide to do something about it and transform it.
Phase 3: Happiness. This is the phase every romance reader always longs for it’s basically when we finally see light at the end of that dark tunnel, after they’ve rebuilt and continued to piece together more and more of what they thought had been destroyed.
Honestly, the author handled everything surrounding Ellie’s medical story with such care, affection, and dedication that I say from the bottom of my heart: thank you for giving them the story and ending they deserved. Thank you so much for the ARC of Loves Notes, and to the author.

GAHHHHHH. THIS BOOK. Way to just shatter my heart into a million little pieces and then put it back together, Amelie. This book is a freaking masterpiece in literally every emotion…grief, heartbreak, longing, yearning, love, hate, frustration, helplessness. This story made me FEEL EVERYTHING. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to smash them together and say JUST MAKE UP AND LOVE EACH OTHER ALREADY. It's the mark of an amazing book to make you feel so much all at once and make you not want to leave the story.
Sully and Ellie were each other's everything- friends, firsts, lovers and exes. They broke up 5 years ago and are suddenly thrown together for Noah's engagement party. Cue one night stand! This starts off as a one night stand turned into accidental pregnancy but that's not where this story ends.
This book is a freaking masterclass in grief, trauma, comfort and healing. It makes you feel SO MUCH for these characters and so fully invested in their journeys, both individually and as a couple. Amelie took so much care in writing Ellie's health issues and navigating both the physical and emotional toll related to loss. And the flashback chapters give you even more of her inner thoughts and the background for how she was feeling and even how it related to their breakup years before.
Sully grows so much throughout this book, not just from their breakup, but even throughout the story. You can tell just how much he still loves and cares for Ellie and he's doing everything he can to show her he's there for her. The character growth arc for him was really well thought out and well deserved.
This is a beautiful book full of grief, loss, healing and love. It was such an emotional story with the absolute most well deserved conclusion. I loved seeing the whole London family and just how much they thought of Ellie as one of them. I especially loved the connection that Ellie and Theo had, and it makes me want his story that much more!
Definitely pick this one up, but check your trigger warnings first. This is an accidental pregnancy book but there is on page pregnancy loss, so take care of yourself first and foremost. But be sure to read the whole Wildflower series! Every book is top notch and will give you all the warm and fuzzy feelings.

I knew this book was going to destroy me. I knew from the authors instagram that this book would break my heart, it is so beautiful and it puts your heart back together.
Something that I always love and rave about with Amelie’s books is how real these characters feel. Often when I’m reading a book the characters feel like just that, characters, like what they’re going through doesn’t feel real. Amelie’s writing and her characters have always felt so real to me, like everything is happening to me, and it makes me get so lost in her stories.
Sully and Eleanor have been a long time coming with her books. I remember the first mention of them back in Awake At Dawn and knew that there was so much between those two that Sully was not or had not told his family.
One of my favorite parts of the Wildflower series are the flashbacks in the books, but these broke me. Specifically seeing Eleanor’s health issue that derived from hormonal birth control. Last year I had my own health scare that developed from hormonal birth control, I completely understand the fear that she faces - though mine was no where near as severe or life threatening as hers was. The health issues and negative side effects to people who take hormonal birth control is swept too far under the rug by society and I love and respect that Amelie was not afraid to discuss this, especially since she has opened up and said that this story is similar to something that happened to her.
On a lighter note, the way that Sully and Eleanor take care of each other is so beautiful. Though they were apart for five years, they still know each other, what the other needs, how to calm each other down, and it’s so beautiful to see them navigate how they are together grown up.

Now she is back in her small town pregnant and with no plan of how to navigate this new life.
Sullivan has only loved the girl who lived right next door,and now she is back with a surprise not in his wildest dreams would expect.
Unfortunately this is one of the times that the book did not stuck well for me.However,there is something that I really appreciated.
This is none other than her writing.If you take out the context and just look the way that it is written you will find a beautiful style that I think if we had an other kind of story it would be a really nice book for me,so yes I will probably try other stories of Rhys soon. Also,I cannot not talk about how cute this cover is.
Now,the reason behind my 2 star rating is one that eventually leads to many.
This romance was not labeled as pregnancy one for a very specific reason (that you will find yourselves if you choose to read),which I totally get.But,we spend a big chunk of the book being in that situation and when something twists in our story,we spend an other chunk discussing about pregnancies,kids etc. which became a big aspect of what at the same time connects and separated our two main characters.So if you go blind,which a lot of readers like to do,or read the summary who is not clearly saying that there is so much pregnancy scenes inside you will probably find yourself disliking the book just like myself unfortunately did.
If you ask me,what was most likely wrong in this case was not the book,the story or the writing, it was just the labeling.
So if you love those kinds of books this one would be literally PERFECT for you,if not please check other works of Rhys,like myself will do,because I honestly believe they will be so worth it!

Before you start this book, you absolutely need to read the content warnings. Most of the plot surrounds an accidental pregnancy, miscarriage, and reproductive medical issues. This is emotionally the heaviest book that I've read in the series, and I think it's the longest, too. If you're not comfortable with those topics, don't pick up the book because they can't be avoided. I'm not usually one for accidental pregnancies, but the way this happened truly was an accident, and I can get behind that much more than a zero protection heat of the moment type of accident. I cried a lot for both of the MCs throughout this book. The original breakup broke my heart for both of them, and I typically don't enjoy second chances, but this one really made sense, and I'm glad they went back to each other. There are some really great conversations in this book about reproductive health and prevention options for both men and women, the pluses and minuses on all sides, and how they plan to tackle it going forward. I highly recommend reading the extended epilogue to get some closure on their final decision. I also thank the author for not putting us through a third act breakup after everything they already went through.
This is book 5 in the series, and it's written in a way that can definitely be read as a standalone, but I will warn that there are a ton of characters from all of the previous books throughout the story that pop up and are part of the plot, so you might be overwhelmed if you haven't read any of the other books yet. If you have read the other books, you'll get an update on pretty much everyone and a little sneak peak on who the next couple is going to be.
If you're here just looking for some spice, I feel like this isn't the book for that. There are definitely spicy scenes, and they're good, but it's more sparse than her previous books and you're going to have to really work for it after the initial one night stand.

I really love this universe. I love how yearny the men are and how strong the women are, how much found family there is among these beautiful, sweet characters, and how every time I read one of these books I find myself smiling.
I feel like since the moment we met Sully, I've been so charmed by him! He's such a sweet guy -- fun and fun-loving -- and in this book we really get to see him from a different perspective, deeper and more serious at times. The multifacetedness of his character just makes him more lovable, though.
Second chance romances usually stress me out, and, honestly, this was no exception. I feel like I was waiting on pin and needles to figure out what went wrong between Ellie and Sully the first time, and I was frustrated (as I was supposed to be) when I figured it out. It's just sad that miscommunications and misunderstanding and fear can cause so much pain. It was the kind of breakup that was completely realistic but no less sad because of that.
I think I liked the first half of this book a little more than the second half just because it had more tension and push/pull between the two, although the healing and angst in the second half offered a different kind of relief when we finally see them on the same page again.
It was so lovely, also, seeing all the old characters again. Blake STAYS my favorite, I think, mostly because even though this wasn't even his book his love for his family and friends really bleeds into everything he does. Also, Chloe. Love her down.
That being said... I must say that all I can think about, upon reading this book, is Theo. Sweet nerdy soft Theo who cooks and won't admit how much he likes a girl and who's solid and steady and present for his family. I want him to get his happily ever after SO BAD. Julian be kind to him please he just loves your sister 🙏

I feel like since the moment we met Sully, I've been so charmed by him! He's such a sweet guy -- fun and fun-loving -- and in this book we really get to see him from a different perspective, deeper and more serious at times. The multifacetedness of his character just makes him more lovable, though.
Second chance romances usually stress me out, and, honestly, this was no exception. I feel like I was waiting on pin and needles to figure out what went wrong between Ellie and Sully the first time, and I was frustrated (as I was supposed to be) when I figured it out. It's just sad that miscommunications and misunderstanding and fear can cause so much pain. It was the kind of breakup that was completely realistic but no less sad because of that.
I think I liked the first half of this book a little more than the second half just because it had more tension and push/pull between the two, although the healing and angst in the second half offered a different kind of relief when we finally see them on the same page again.
It was so lovely, also, seeing all the old characters again. Blake STAYS my favorite, I think, mostly because even though this wasn't even his book his love for his family and friends really bleeds into everything he does. Also, Chloe. Love her down.
That being said... I must say that all I can think about, upon reading this book, is Theo. Sweet nerdy soft Theo who cooks and won't admit how much he likes a girl and who's solid and steady and present for his family. I want him to get his happily ever after SO BAD. Julian be kind to him please he just loves your sister 🙏

Ever since the fifth book in the Wildflower Series was announced, I immediately added it to my future TBR. I had already read the first four in the series, one of which was also an ARC. Getting to see the development and different relationships of the London family has been so enjoyable. I just love them more and more with each book.
Before getting into the review, I have to say I had to force myself to put this book down because I knew that if I kept reading, I wasn't going to get any sleep that night. 🤭
When it comes to Sully and Ellie's relationship, from the start they are down bad for each other. The moment they saw each other through the window, they just knew. There are diabolical levels of yearning within the first two chapters.
Sully is such a sweetheart who never lost his love for his childhood love. From the memory box under his bed to the rose bushes he upkept for 5 years, that man loves with his whole heart.
When it comes to Ellie, she is a woman after my own heart because I also love love love The Princess Diaries. Other than that, everything that Ellie has been through to get to where she is tore me apart. Her story reflects that of many women around the world who also deserve to have their story told. I hope those women are able to find themselves and healing through Ellie.
In the past I have always struggled with enjoying books that utilize jumping between the past and the present. With the pacing and writing style, it didn't bother me at all.
These characters were written with such a natural progression shown through their emotional and personal growth. And I know I'll probably say this about the next book, but I'll say it anyway. This has to be Amelie's best writing, with each book it just keeps getting better and better. There is something about the characters and story that balances realism while still providing a sense of escapism.

This book also tackles how much people go through medically, physically, and mentally when it comes to birth control. We see Ellie go through medical trauma caused by her birth control and how that broadly impacted her future. I appreciate how the topic was approached in a realistic and empathetic manner.

This was such a beautifully written book with such a heartfelt storyline and amazing characters. I love this little world Amelie has built. I love the found family element. I love the sibling bonds. I love the intense moments and I love the silly, cute ones. Sully and Ellie were perfection. Their story was so emotional yet so fun and sweet.
Sully hasn't been the same since the end of his relationship with Ellie. She walked away and he didn't chase her. Regrets he's had and dealt with every single day since. Ellie knows what she did and why but that doesn't mean it hurt any less. Two young kids trying to navigate life and health issues. So when another London is having a celebration and Ellie decides to go, she runs into the man she's been avoiding for years. And naturally when the heated tension is unbearable, one thing leads to another, and their lives are changed forever...again.
I loved this story. The pregnancy trope is always a hit or miss in books. It was a complete hit here, regardless of the outcome. Because with this outcome came the topic of loss and grief and rebuilding. Amelie handled it with such care. You can tell a lot of research went into it.
My heart just absolutely broke for these two. I'm just so glad that they were able to come together and heal together. Which ultimately leads to them rebuilding what they had. I don't know how else to describe it other than beautiful.
The love these two had and have for each other is so intense. It honestly made me tear up a lot. All they wanted, throughout this whole book, was to make sure the other person was okay. They wanted to make sure the other person understood they were there for each other and no one was leaving this time. And if that isn't a dream, I don't know what is.

even though i love second chances i‘m NORMALLY not one to love the flashbacks, but those? they were perfectly placed in the book and just seeing them first meet and their love develop through the years was so unbelievably sweet and almost got me crying.
and i just have one thing to say, the roses. if you know you know.

I love this book world that Amelie Rhys has created. I’ve loved every book in this series, and this one was no exception. Again at Home is a beautiful second chance romance that, while dealing with some heavier topics, still manages to feel light, hopeful, and incredibly sweet.
This one follows Sully and Ellie, who are basically each other’s soulmates. But after a misunderstanding, they break up and spend years apart. From the very beginning it’s obvious that neither of them has ever truly gotten over the other. Throw in a one night reconnection, and suddenly Ellie is pregnant and back home with Sully.
I love the way Amelie Rhys layers her characters. Sully is everything. He’s a man who’s still deeply broken over losing Ellie, but he never lets that get in the way of showing up for her. He supports her, comforts her, and puts her first every step of the way. He really is the epitome of a man written by a woman. The selflessness, the patience, the unwavering support…it was all perfection.
I also loved Ellie’s journey. She’s just as heartbroken, but she knows coming home is where she needs to be. I really enjoyed watching her navigate her pregnancy while carrying the weight of her past health struggles and everything that came with that. I also thought Amelie Rhys handled their pregnancy loss with so much care. Watching them heal, not just from that loss but also from everything they’d been through together, was honestly beautiful.
While this book tackles some emotional topics, it’s ultimately a hopeful, healing love story. There are plenty of lighter moments and some great spice to balance the heavier emotions, and I really enjoyed the way it all came together. Another fantastic addition to a series I continue to love.

I have enjoyed this series very much. It's been so fun reading about all these siblings and how intertwined the London's and the Briggs are. I love the past and present chapters. How easily you can move from one to the other and it's not confusing. How it almost feels like the past and present run parallel but years apart. I think that's been my favorite. Every book has had it and it's so unique to the author.
Sully and Ellie. Their story is so beautiful. There's pain and so much waiting. Waiting for a second chance. Because when you fall in love at 13 years old and you know then that she's your future, and it's only ever been her, there's no moving on unless it's with her. And that's so beautiful. But also, there's devastation and grief and heartbreak. Losing something you became excited for. Coming even closer together after a devastating moment after having the opportunity to support each other and heal together. It's such a sweet story. I'm very happy they got a HEA.
There will be one more book. Those small snippets of the future couple sounds fantastic. I can't wait.

Even when they were trying to keep their distance, the tension and attraction between them was palpable and the spice was spicy!
The pregnancy loss plot was heartbreaking but done with so much care. I appreciated that Rhys showed the impact of miscarriage in both Ellie and Sully. Though raw and emotional, it really was the moment that cemented their devotion to each other.
I also feel Rhys’ portrayal of pregnancy loss (and the inclusion of a health condition that derived from a “rare” side-effect of taking the birth control pill) was public service. And this is the power romance novels because when done with care and research, they serve to inform and educate.
The sibling bond and found family was heartwarming. Ellie might have been the London's neighbour growing up and Sully's ex-girlfriend, but she was also part of the London family, even when she thought she had lost them.

This might be my favorite book in the Wildflower series!! Amelie Rhys has such a gift for writing emotionally layered romances, and Sully and Ellie's story completely stole my heart. The dual timeline was woven together so thoughtfully, revealing pieces of their past exactly when they mattered most. Every chapter made their history, heartbreak, and lingering feelings feel even more real, and the yearning between them was almost tangible. I genuinely didn't want this book to end!
Sully and Ellie are beautifully written, deeply human characters. They both carry so much hurt, love, and hope, and watching them grow not only as a couple but as individuals was incredibly rewarding. Their chemistry never wavered, even through the hardest moments, and I found myself rooting for them from beginning to end. Every character felt distinct and fully realized, adding even more heart to an already emotional story.
Overall, “Again at Home” is a beautiful, heartfelt story about love, forgiveness, healing, and finding your way back to the people who have always felt like home.

OMG, what a roller coaster, and OMG how I have enjoyed it. I loved every second of this book, and I think it has become my favourite in the whole series, followed by Blake and Delaney's story.
The heartbreak of not only their relationship when they were younger but also the pregnancy, the grief of losing a part of you, the happiness of having your partner alive and well, and the chance to rekindle and obtain the happiness they felt when they were 16 was engraved in those pages so well that I felt like I was one more of that family watching their grief and happiness intertwined.
I was a bit skeptical at first because I knew this book would break me and build me up again, and I and heartbreak in books have a love-hate relationship. Second chance stories are also not my favorite, BUT THANK THE GODS THAT I GAVE THIS BOOK THE CHANCE IT DESERVED. I knew that if all the other books in the series didn't disappoint me, this one wouldn’t either. But when I saw that it was 539 pages 😟, let me tell you I WAS SCARED OUT OF MY MIND. But dude...
Fears are made to be overcome, and thank God I did.
I honestly don’t have a lot more to say; tbh, I’m completely in love with this story, the family, the series… EVERYTHING

I knew this book was going to hurt, but I wasn't prepared for just how deeply it would affect me. It took my heart through grief, anger, hope, and healing, and by the end I felt emotionally exhausted in the best possible way.
Sully and Ellie are the definition of "it's always been you." Even after years apart, the love between them never faded, and that longing was present in every page. Their story isn't just about finding their way back to each other it's about healing, forgiveness, and learning how to survive the things that change you forever.
What impacted me the most was how carefully and honestly the author handled pregnancy loss and the emotional weight surrounding it. Ellie’s pain felt incredibly real, and my heart ached for everything she carried, especially the parts she tried to face alone. I also appreciated that the story acknowledged Sully’s grief and helplessness too. Watching them support each other, grow, and slowly rebuild what they lost was both heartbreaking and beautiful.
The flashbacks made me fall even harder for them because you could truly see why they were each other’s person from the very beginning. Add in the found family, the unwavering friendships, and all the quiet moments of love, and this story felt so much bigger than just a romance.
This book shattered me, healed me, and reminded me that love can still exist even after unimaginable heartbreak. It was painful, beautiful, and unforgettable.

I LOVED this book!! Honestly I feel like all of Amelie’s books always hit the spot with me but this one was definitely different. I related so much to how these characters thought and how their brain works and I think she did an excellent job of giving you a glimpse of how people’s brains can over think and over process different situations, everything from walking into a crowded stadium to dealing with medical problems.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book. Am I surprised that I loved this? Absolutely not!
This was an amazing read. One that made me not only laugh and smile from ear to ear but also cry because life is hard and not fair and it certainly wasn’t fair for Ellie and Sully.
I will never pass up a book written by Ameile. She knows how to write about real world situations that could come up with any couple and she writes how they worked through the challenge together instead of breaking up because it’s too hard. She makes these characters seem real.
I especially love the dynamic Ellie and Sully have together. I love that she knew how to calm his anxiety and he knew how to make her happy when her whole world was crashing down. I loved that they both took care of each other and when she had the miscarriage Sully made sure she was okay. But Ellie also took care of him after the miscarriage because she knew that he was grieving the loss of his child too.
I also love the little snippets we get of all the other couples too. It makes me so happy getting to see their story progress even if it’s just a small update.
And I can not wait to get to read Theo’s story with *****!!
I tend to say this with every one of Amelie’s books but Ellie and Sully have officially become my favorite couple of the series. I just loved them so so much and I already can’t wait to re-read
