Interesting but terribly dated in parts, particularly where he comments that homosexuality is a perversion and a result of the child being too close to the parent of the opposite sex (or some stupid shit along those lines). It was somewhat jarring; I was really enjoying the book and then suddenly there's all this ignorant shit being spewed forth. If you can look past that aspect of it, it's a good read.

It was almost unfair to have to rate this book. It was Polished in 1968 so it's a fun read if you're going to compare and look how far we have come and what we have learned. I bet this would have been a phenomenal book in 1968 because the author keeps it real and it's funny to see that people were just people back then too!
