A child is snatched from her home, the one place she should feel safe. Will the KCPD find her before something more sinister happens?

Detective DeMarcus Gage of the KCPD Missing Persons Unit knows that most child abductions are perpetrated by family members or persons known to the child. True ‘stranger’ abductions are rare—and taken very seriously by the police. When eight

I was kind of hoping for a little more relationship between Marc and Jack. (view spoiler)

Can't wait to move on in this series.

I have not read any others in the series (this is fine as a stand-alone) but I confess, I kind of bought it to see if it really would come across as I thought the blurb made it sound, missing kid but hey... hormones. I was kind of hoping it would prove me wrong but... nope.

Okay, cops see missing kids all the time, I could see them being side-tracked by hormones, but the uncle of the missing girl? Who has to go to the morgue and identify a possible body, and all they can think of is "come to my

This is book 5 in the Kansas City Heat series but can be read as a stand alone.

DeMarcus Gage is a Detective on the Kansis City Missing Person's Unit.

Jack Braden is the uncle of a little girl abducted from her street.

When Gage answers the call of a missing 8 year old, and meets the sexy uncle Jack, the attraction is immediate. However the priority is finding the missing little girl.

This might have been a short story but you don't feel like you are

This was anothe good quick read in the Kansas City Heat series. Being book five I am glad that Jenna is keeping with the thyme of the last books and bringing in yet another mystery. This time around is a kidnapping of an 8 year old girl.

Gage is the one on the case to find this little girl and as everyone knows time is of the essence when it comes to an kidnapping.

Jack is the little girls uncle and the family liaison for the family with the police. There is a definite attraction between both men

Reviewed for Prism Book Alliance

I don't remember Gage from the original series. Actually, I don't remember much from the first four books. I also didn't re-read those books. As such I can confidently say that this book can be read stand alone.

Hot

This series is great! Hot cops, lots of sex with well written characters and full bodied storylines. In this one, a little girl is kidnapped and the detective on the case meets the uncle of the missing child and sparks fly. Only problem? Said uncle is in the closet and our detective won't be in a relationship in secret. A little angst, and a lot of making up go a long way!

fetish porn... and really, someone has to go back to the office t initiate an Amber Alert? In the age of smartphones, there is not a way to send a pic to the appropriate person or talk to your boss?

Jenna Byrnes could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible t
