I think that every pet owner needs to have this book on standby forever. I grew up with cats, but Oscar’s story completely resonates with me and I think it would with every person who has ever lost a pet for any reason. The first cat I was responsible for as an adult was named Memphis. He lived to be about 10 years old and we had to make the agonizing decision to put him down because he was sick with cancer. I wish that I had had this book then to maybe help ease my troubled mind. This story ends with Hope and Joy instead of focusing on the grief and sadness that comes with losing a pet. It’s brilliant if you have a pet you need this book!!!

I found this book to be incredibly relatable, especially with how the story unfolds through the eyes of a pet, it made the experience feel even more special and unique. The writing is beautiful and heartfelt, and it truly felt like an emotional read that brought me a sense of comfort and peace. What stood out to me most was how perfectly it captures the unconditional love between humans and their pets. It’s such a touching story that really stays with you.
