This book is based on love, secrets and lies. Intense. Emotional. Raw. Unhinged. Stone lives up to his namesake until he begins to crack and his world starts splitting all around him.

Stone- Devoted, loyal, powerful, and in love with his half sister. He’s treated like filth and his father thinks him a bastard.

Sienna- Protective, caring and understanding. For Stone there is nothing that she wouldn’t do. She loves him and knows it’s wrong but she does not care.

When the family starts noticing that Stone and Sienna are getting closer, they put a plan in motion that keeps them apart.

This was my first B.J. Alpha story and I am so glad I signed up for the ALC. Stone and Sienna have this love that is unbreakable even though it is forbidden. A deeply buried secret looms within the Carrera family and it directly affects Stone and Sienna.

My heart completely broke for this poor man so many times. Thankfully he has his Sienna, his light in all the darkness. She is always there to offer any type of comfort he will take from her. He suffers at the hand of his father as his bastard child. He has no memory of his past and yet refuses to fully believe Sienna is his sister.

Sienna knows her sole purpose in her family is to be married off and while she accepts it she cannot help the fact that she loves Stone and he is the one she wants. Her feelings for him never waiver even when her arranged marriage finally happens.

I loved the connection between these two. Stone deserves all the love Sienna wants to give him. His life has been anything but easy as far back as he can remember. Remembering is the problem for him since there is a big chunk of his life he doesn't remember. There came a certain point in the audio when all the secrets were being revealed left and right that the real world ceased to exist for me. I needed all the answers and to say I was shocked a few times is not exaggeration. The love that Sienna and Stone have for each other is beautiful.

Narrated by Desiree Ketchum and James Cassidy I knew I was going to enjoy every single second of this audio. They did not disappoint. Desiree has that perfect voice for someone like Sienna and James....his Stone voice and that of side characters later on in the audio were my favorites. Both put so much emotion into their roles that it made the words are that more impactful.

If you love tortured antiheroes, forbidden obsession, and mafia angst dialed to eleven, Stone delivers in spades - especially in audio.

James Cassidy absolutely devours this role. His portrayal of Stone is raw, volatile, and heartbreakingly human beneath all that brutality. You can feel the conflict in every line — the man who was shaped into a weapon but still clings to a fragile sense of honor when it comes to Sienna. I found myself aching for him even though he’d probably hate the pity. He’s dangerous, damaged, and somehow still deeply decent… which makes everything hurt more.

Desiree Ketchum brings the perfect contrast. Her voice captures Sienna’s softness and privilege while still conveying the steel beneath the mafia-princess exterior. She walks that fine line between vulnerable and calculating beautifully -because let’s be honest, girl knew exactly what she was doing. Do I blame her? Not really. But poor Stone never stood a chance.

The duet narration elevates the tension to another level. Their performances make every taboo moment feel intimate, every confrontation sharper, and every emotional beat land harder. James, in particular, shines in Stone’s darker, unhinged edges -deliciously dangerous while still grounding the character in genuine pain.

Story-wise, this is pure forbidden obsession. Stone’s identity is built on lies, his past stolen, his humanity weaponized by the very people he believes are family. When Sienna is married off to strengthen alliances, it snaps the last thread holding him together. His determination to take back the one thing he’s ever cared about is equal parts terrifying and swoon-worthy. Ugggh I love him!

By the end, I was completely hooked - emotionally wrecked, morally conflicted, and already desperate for the next installment.

I’m still sitting here trying to process what I just listened to.

First — please check your trigger warnings. This story goes deep into dark themes, trauma, abuse, emotional devastation… and it does not hold back.

Stone absolutely broke me. A man raised on lies, questioning who he even is, clinging to the only thing that has ever felt real — Sienna. His obsession isn’t surface-level possessiveness. It’s desperate. It’s consuming. It’s the kind of devotion that feels like survival. Watching him unravel while still choosing her, every single time, had tears rolling down my face.

And Sienna? She’s not fragile. She’s loyal, loving, and strong in a quiet but powerful way. She sees through Stone’s cold exterior and loves the man beneath it. The bond between them is intense, complicated, and emotionally raw. Together they are magnetic.

Yes, there’s spice — and it’s very much alpha energy — but it’s woven into the story in a way that adds to the emotional arc. It’s not there for shock value. It heightens the connection, the desperation, the intensity.

BJ Alpha doesn’t shy away from the darkest corners of human cruelty, and this book makes you feel every ounce of what Stone endured.

Stone is a survivor in every sense of the word. The things he was subjected to weren’t just torture. They included violations of the deepest kind, the sort of invasive, dehumanizing cruelty meant to break a person from the inside out. Stone endured physical, emotional, and intimate violations that no human being should ever face.

I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to cry just hearing what had been done to him. It’s a painful reminder that evil people like the ones who held him really do walk this earth and often face no consequences. Through all of that, Stone still fights for the life and woman he wants, Sienna. The one person who’s ever made him feel anything is suddenly ripped out of his reach, forcing him to confront the lies he was built on and the truth he’s terrified to face.

The narration by Desiree Ketchum and James Cassidy is exceptional. They bring a level of emotional precision that makes the story feel lived-in rather than performed. Their voices carry the weight of Stone’s trauma, the flickers of resilience, and the fragile moments of connection with such care that it elevates the entire experience.

As for Azrael… I don’t like that man at all, but I’m absolutely looking forward to his story. If anyone needs a redemption arc, it’s him, and I need to see whether he can earn it.

Stone is heavy, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful. It’s a story about surviving the unimaginable and fighting for the light on the other side.

Mother of all twists!!! WOW!!

It’s time to meet the cruel Carrera family and Stone is the first member to be introduced. He is raised as a second class citizen due to him being a “bastard” child in the Carrera family. He is punished, tortured and abuser by his “father” while his only happy memories are on the hands of Sienna.

Sienna takes the job of caregiver avoiding raising suspicion her dad as to how close of a bond she shares with Stone. Their journey to each other is painful, full of secrets and deception but totally worth the scares left on them.

I devoured Stone’s story, but it was so hard to read everything he endured🥺 BJ did a phenomenal job showing all the hardships Stone had to endure that carved him to be the man that never breaks.

The narration was performed by Desiree Ketchum and James Cassidy.
They did a fantastic job acting all the emotions Sienna and Stone experienced. They kept the story alive and made it easier to connect with the characters. The audiobook was produced as a duet so it couldn’t be anymore perfect!

If you are after your next audiobook I recommend you pick up Stone, it is a standalone, but book 1 in the Carrera Family Series. Although I despised the rest of the family we saw glimpses of some of their acting towards Stone so I look forward to finishing the series.

Having read Azrael first, I knew going into this that it wasn't going to be sunshine and rainbows. And I was right. Stone broke my heart so many times.

Desiree Ketchum and James Cassidy are two of my all time favorite narrators, and getting to listen to then together was such an amazing experience. These two narrators can make take an emotional scene from the pages of a book and make it feel like you're experiencing it along with the characters. And the way they narrated Stone and Sienna was like a punch to the heart.

Whether you read or listen to it, this book is HARD. Stone's story is sad and full of trauma. He is the b@stard child of an evil man, who treats him in the most horrible way. His only light is Sienna, who just so happens to have the same father. We do love a forbidden romance, don't we?

This put me through all the emotions you can imagine. I raged and cried for both mc's. But all of it is worth the beautiful hea they have.

Hoe-Lee Sheeeeiitt! 👀 BJ Marie Alpha! (I don’t know her middle name, but let’s go with it.) This had no business being so damn hot. This audiobook had me zoning out, just staring out into the distance 🫣.

I was so excited to see the tie in to BJ’s Secret and Lies series. I absolutely adored the O’Connell brothers and loved their cameos in Stone’s book. 🥰

Desiree and James are fantastic in BJ’s books. These stories are dark and their performances capture that depth without it being over the top. I hope they continue with the rest of this audiobook series.

Perfection in narration. James is delicuous in these unhinged rolls. Desiree has that perfect sweet voice for this mafia princess character.

Forbidden feelings, taboo moments. Stone and Sienna should not want each other it is fordibben and wrong. Stone is tormented and tortured. He does not remember his past. They have trained him and made him into a brutal fighter for their gain, his family. Sienna is set to be married off in an arranged marriage to further grown the family ties. The one man she wants she can not have, so she does as she is destined. When Stone learns they have married her off taking the one thing he cares for. He will stop at nothing to get her back.

BJ Alpha always writes beautifully broken and tortured MMC. Stone is no different. He is morally grey and brutal in his assault on anyone who stands in his way to get to Sienna. This was a fast paced and dark romance. It is captivating and entertaining. I listened in one sitting!

Forbidden love - or is it?
Stone’s existence is shrouded in mystery. He is treated like a subhuman by his family in most cases. His brothers kind of protect him but can’t openly do anything. His only saving grace is Sienna. She is his only weakness. He will take any punishment for her. His love for her has no bounds.

This story has some very dark elements. Stone’s body tells the story of his abuse and torture. Every time we get a glimpse of what happened to him causes heartbreak. He can’t remember anything before the torture. Sienna is the only bright spot.

There is a lot of drama, hurt and suffering. The twists and turns come from every angle.

The narrators made the story! They were great at the emotional scenes and giving us the tortured thoughts of each character.

DNF'D at 33% and here is why

This was totally a "me problem". I thought I could push past the fact that they were "siblings" I could not. Now let me be very clear they are not true siblings! however, they were raised to believe that they were half siblings and still acted upon feelings knowing they were "related" again there were trigger warnings, and I thought I could muscle past this, and it would be fine. it was not lol. I was honestly thinking "oh the author is going to make this easy to digest" "it will be fine" How I thought it was gonna go. it did not. Again, not the authors fault this was all reader error. It was not for me, and I can't move past it. but please if you love a great taboo. I have heard BJ Alpha is your girl.
James Cassidy and Desiree Ketchum are the narrators for this audio and they are amazing!! to be honest they were both the reason I wanted to muscle though a trigger for me. I learned my lesson. I cannot muscle through. it's a 2 star simply because I didn't finish. the writing and the spice from when I called it quits was totally on par.

I received this book as an advanced listeners copy for the audio, and this was my first read of it.

This book was dark and unhinged and amazing. Touches on found family and blood family and sometimes that found family is not good but they also weren’t good to protect you. Stone not having his memories of any part of his childhood and teen years is heartbreaking, but punishments in the form of being tortured is just tearing at his soul. Enter Sienna. She’s the light in his darkness, but also his sister. The bond they share is evident that something is off in La Familia and it starts with her marriage. I’m not going to give everything away but James Cassidy and Desiree Ketchum were amazing as Stone and Sienna. My best takeaway is that you make your own family, blood or not.

Stone is a strong mmc trying to figure out who he is and his identity that was a big lie and get away from a horrible father.
James Cassidy did an amazing job bringing Stone’s damaged and passionate characteristics to life. So different from Desiree’s but a perfect match in comparison.
Desiree Ketchum did an amazing job bringing Sienna’s character to life as well. Sienna is a mafia princess and not a damsel in distress. She wants out of the life she was born in to.
Desiree’s voice brings the softness and strength of her character.
They shouldn’t want each other but they do. Are they really step siblings? 🤔
When Sienna is set up for an arranged marriage all hell breaks loose and Stone finally overcomes his hesitation and fears 🖤

This is another book for me that I requested based on the narrator alone. James Cassidy and it's in duet format! Yes, please!

This is a dark, taboo romance between the man only known as Stone and Sienna. Sienna is his light in the darkness, but she is forbidden to him. He doesn't remember his past, though. All he knows is his current life where he is tortured and used as a fighter.

The duet narration from James Cassidy and Desiree Ketchum sold this narration for me. They both absolutely slayed their performances. James is so good at these dark, unhinged, pained characters. Desiree's sweet voice was perfect for Sienna, showing both her strength and vulnerability.

This book was not for me; I finished out of pure curiosity and James Cassidy's voice. I wish I had stills of my facial expressions as I listened to the audio. This probably would be 4 stars had we settled the "are they or aren't they" earlier in the book. They went way too far for thinking they are for my comfortability and enjoyment. I love Taboo romance, but incest just isn't it for me. While not actually incest, it was incest-y-ish enough to make it not enjoyable for me. Remove that piece and it was great!

Desiree Ketchum & James Cassidy narrate this book in DUET and they did an amazing job, I don't think I would have finished this book if it was an eyeball read.

Duet Narration by Desiree Ketchum and James Cassidy. Both narrators do a great job as Stone and Sienna

They have loved each other knowing it is wrong, half siblings but having such a pull. How can they be related or are they? Stone endures torture and punishments that made my heart break. And he suffers from amnesia but he knows something is not right. The relationship between him and Sienna is forbidden and it goes through some tough moments. Secrets are revealed and they are not pretty. Trigger warning brutality, SA mentioned, and other dark moments but there is some spice. Good ending

oh the beautiful heartbreaking story of STONE ...


broken , bruised and torn apart he is STONE CARERRA.. the only sunshine in his dark and dreary life is his half sister Siena... or so he thinks .. the life he has lived, the abu$e he has endured , the darness that has almost swallowed him whole at times didnt belong to him . he is in the wrong family ... that isnt where he belongs and when his true family finds out the damage inflicted onto him by that terrible man there will be things to pay tenfold ...

What can I say? Well ....first check your trigger warnings. PLEASE!
Desiree Ketchum and James Cassidy blew this out of the water. The emotion, the grit, the vulnerability that James used for Stone was captivating.
You could hear and feel the raw love, determination and heart ache from Sienna. Desiree provided such depth to her character.

I just loved this whole story.

And the spice? Yes, please. The moans and groans from Stone were 🔥🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️

I got it as a standalone, and it was perfect despite it being a part of a series..

I received an ALC and wasn't disappointed!!! I don't often give 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but this was beautifully unhinged.... You never know what to expect in this book. I could feel Stone's pain throughout this gut wrenching story!! The narration was absolutely phenomenal 👏 😍.

This writer !! Amazing!! I have loved every book I’ve read and this one goes beyond what I expected .. this series has been so very good and if you haven’t read never read from BJ Alpha this series is a good place to start !!
