I feel like this book was very prolonged and confusing throughout the entire book. Having flashbacks is fine as long as you differentiate between present and past and this book did not do that. Between the structure of the book and all the supposed secrets between every character i just did not understand it. This book wasnt for me but it could be for you so don’t let this review decide if you read it or not.. Everyone’s opinions are different and this is my personal opinion.
This book gave everything a Black mafia romance is supposed to give. Power, loyalty, obsession, and that “you’re mine and I mean it” energy from start to finish. The male lead was dominant without being cartoonish, and the chemistry between them felt intense and earned.
What I loved most was the balance between danger and devotion. It wasn’t just guns and drama : it was family, legacy, protection, and love that runs deep. The stakes were real, the tension was high, and the romance hit hard. If you love protective, possessive Black mafia men and strong heroines who can hold their own, this one is for you. Five stars, easily.
